(Ray)
A solid fifteen minutes went by since the three of them returned back to the flat. Ray had been sitting still on one of the couches under the burning glare of Samantha seated at the opposite end. Though her anger towards him might have been misdirected, Ray couldn't help but feel that he deserved it. When it came down to it, Samantha was right. He had left Rody on his own. Regardless of the situation, he still allowed it to happen.
Thinking on it now, the idea of losing Rody stung him deeply. He felt levels of sadness and guilt that he had never experienced before. A small part of his pessimistic brain kept repeating the same thing over and over again.
"It's your fault." It said, "It's your fault. It's your fault. It's your fault!"
