Chapter 10.1 : The Revelation at Vespera's Base

As Okita and I walked into Vespera's base, we could feel the somber atmosphere. The air was thick with the loss of our friend, and it weighed heavily on our shoulders. We approached Vespera's worktable and noticed a board hanging on the wall. My name and information about me and Okita were on it, alongside several other names and details. However, the top name was Arthur, and next to it was written, "he is the only hope."

Okita looked at me, puzzled. "Did Vespera know this was going to happen?" he asked.

I shook my head. "I don't know, Okita. But we need to figure out what this means." I walked over to the table and noticed a book lying on top. The cover was old and worn, with the title "The Prophecies of Merlin" written in bold letters.

I picked up the book and opened it to the first page. The writing was ancient, and it was difficult to read, but I could make out the words "The Once and Future King." I flipped through the pages, scanning the text for any relevant information. Suddenly, a passage caught my eye:

"An Arthur shall rise again, a king from the grave,

To battle the darkness and the evils that enslave.

His sword shall be Excalibur, his heart pure and true,

He shall unite the land and bring forth a world anew."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I read the words. It was like something out of a legend, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. "Okita," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I think this book holds the key to everything."

Okita walked over to me, looking over my shoulder at the ancient text. "What does it say?"

I turned the page and found another passage:

"The Knights of the Round Table shall ride again,

Gathered together by Arthur, their king and friend.

They shall fight for the people, for freedom and right,

And bring an end to the darkness that shrouds the night."

I closed the book and looked at Okita. "We need to find King Arthur," I said. "He's the only one who can defeat the remaining generals and put an end to this war."

"But where do we find him?" Okita asked.

I thought for a moment, then remembered something Vespera had said before she passed away. "She mentioned something about the Sword in the Stone," I said. "I think that's where we'll find him."
