"So, this medicine is for headaches. This one is for when she gets gastroenteritis. And this one is for her feet. Are you writing everything down correctly?"
Ephiron's handwriting was a work of beauty, especially when combined with the exquisite black pen he was using. It created a striking contrast of elegance against the rotten place they were talking about.
"I already know, sir. I've written down everything. I appreciate your concern. Do you have everything you wanted to bring?"
Chump nodded, patting a filled suitcase a couple of times. "Let's go outside. These won't last her more than a couple of weeks. I know some pharmacies around the area."
As they descended through the building and Ephiron helped Chump carry his belongings, the curiosity of the demon-horned figure piqued.
"Sir, may I ask... You seem very comfortable with this process. Isn't that a bit unusual?"
"You seem like a fine person, you know? And..."
Chump's voice took on a deeper meaning, not in a philosophical sense, but reflecting his actions and intentions.
"I still want to have my revenge, but I've had time to think this past week. Clem said that most of the people would be reincarnated, correct?"
"You are correct, sir."
The human continued, his tone becoming more open, clenching his free hand into a fist, and his facial expression showing pure hatred and anger.
"I want to know firsthand, by my hand, what the hell happened. If I have to confront the leaders, I will. If I have to stand against any divine beings, or even the goddess herself, I will."
Ephiron remained stoic. "Granted, I find that a unique view a bit violent. But you already know what happened from Clem's explanation, right? By the way, it was a smart move in your contract to ensure your safety first."
"Thanks. But there's something fishy in those explanations... Why would a goddess need to give that order? Like... she's a goddess! And her guardians are neutral! Yet, she did it anyway."
"We do not question her will but thank her for our gifts every day. If you wish to survive longer among us, I suggest you should be more respectful towards her. However, I do understand your hatred."
Chump sighed, reminded of his fate as a slave, heading downstairs. A mix of sadness and frustration welled up, knowing that being foolish once more would mean his death.
Or so both thought before heading outside. After they had descended to ground level, and Ephiron opened the way outside, a strange noise emanated from one of the cars in front of the door.
The metal on the other side twisted in an instant, resembling folded paper. Then, in a matter of half a second, it ascended a few handspans into the air and was launched backward.
It flew over several meters through the air before crashing down on the other side, creating chaos among the other cars parked there.
They stood there, momentarily paralyzed, as they beheld a new figure in front of them, laughing wholeheartedly without a care in the world. The same figure who had crouched down and effortlessly sent a car flying.
"Human toys, playthings," she exclaimed. "I knew humans had such weak constructions. At least it's good enough to warm me up!"
A striking feminine figure, of great proportions and taller than any basketball player, stood in their way as they exited. An intense, fierce aura, akin to a giant flame, radiated from the woman, enough to warm the surroundings and counter Ephiron's cold influence.
The tall woman had fiery red hair, which transitioned from a more yellowish hue at the ends to a vibrant, hot red at the roots. Two not-too-tall horns adorned her forehead.
Her diamond-shaped face, smooth features, crimson eyes, and fine lips could easily make her a top model in the world, perhaps even the new Miss Universe now that there were two worlds.
She wore an elegant red dress that extended from her shoulders to just below her knees, ending in high-heeled shoes. What was peculiar about this dress was that it wasn't made of fabric but had a purple, rocky texture, as thousands of tiny, dark purple crystals or scales melded together.
For those curious about details, it was a princess-line asymmetrical dress, leaving her left shoulder exposed, and her high-heeled shoes were classic platforms with open toes.
This woman possessed a semi-perfect hourglass figure, with an F cup and a generous bottom, yet her waist was not excessively thin but perfectly proportioned.
And of course, the translator bracelet.
Chump's thoughts raced as he took in the magnificent figure before him, his eyes widening in awe.
"Hahaha, I see you've located the last human on this continent! Very well, mere servant of the kingdoms, leave it to me to handle it."
Chump's reaction to this information dampened his mood. "Last human on the continent? So fast? So easy? Are we really that weak?" His mind began to churn with thoughts in the background as the following conversation unfolded.
Ephiron intervened, pushing Chump back before the woman could grab his arm. "There's no need, miss. My prisoner and I were running some errands before reporting to the nearest post."
"I'll take it from here, now scram!" She smiled with murderous intent, revealing her teeth, which were full fangs like a shark's.
"I'm afraid that's not allowed," Ephiron's calm demeanor shifted to a more serious tone.
"And you dare to defy me? Do you even know who I am?"
"I do miss. You are Asaga, the fourteenth descendant of Clyon, leader of the democratic nation."
"Fourteenth what?! How many descendants does he have? Holy macaroni, what a busy man!" Chump's amused expression spoke volumes about his thoughts.
"Oh, so you're aware. It seems the fancy pants have more than just looks. Very well then, I'll fetch him now and forget about this little inconvenience."
"It's against the rules, miss. The treaty clearly states that two or more people of different nations must be reported for each human to not be co-"
"Do you want to provoke one of the seven kings? Hmm?"
"Miss Asaga, I'm quite certain that if the king were to hear about this, he would be—"
"You think you can reach the king even? How about I bring you before the authorities instead?"
"I am the personal butler of Master Ladice! You should recognize her from the meeting with the commanders!"
Asaga blatantly laughed in their faces, her disrespectful tone matched by a sinister grin.
"Oh, so you're actually under MY kingdom. Very well, servant, then explain this." Asaga pointed to the boxes of medicine that Chump was carrying for his sister. "What is that, Mr. 'butler'?"
Ephiron explained while pointing, "Those are medicines for the prisoners—"
"Medicines?! We have Remenant! Just one or two spells won't kill them. Why do we need medicines?"
Ephiron remained silent, looking away, attempting to stay stoic and hide something. Chump observed the situation and noticed Ephiron murmuring something, but he couldn't make out the words, only sensing his discretion and the word "sister."
"Allow me to consider the truth... Ah, yes," the princess said with a sly tone. "You were gathering supplies, feeling pity for the last survivor. I'm pretty sure that after the well-fought battle, you intended to make him feel defenseless. What were you planning? What little secrets does Ladice hide beneath her facade? Are you planning to betray us after all this?"
She transformed her opposite arm from where Chump was standing, and a draconic claw emerged from her hand, distorting her very skin and bones to be double, no, triple the size of what she was before.
Her transformation was akin to a dragon awakening from its slumber. The graceful, feminine hand elongated and thickened, the skin darkening to a deep, onyx-like shade.
Sharp, obsidian-colored scales emerged along her forearm and fingers, forming a sturdy armored surface.
At the fingertips, razor-sharp claws extended, curving gracefully like the talons of a mythical beast. They glinted ominously under the ambient light, ready to rend and tear through any obstacle in her path.
The joints of her hand and fingers seemed to bulge with hidden power, muscles pulsating beneath the surface.
It was as if the spirit of a dragon had momentarily possessed her limb. This new appendage radiated an intense aura of power, and it was clear that it could deliver destruction at her will.
She half-bowed to him, positioning herself at Ephiron's ear level, and whispered with malice in her tone.
"I will make you fear the very thought of reuniting with your Mast—"
A sudden punch pressed against the cheek of the semi-giant princess. This caught her off guard, nearly causing her to stumble backward before regaining her balance.
Ephiron had to take a step back as well. Both watched in astonishment as Chump retracted his arm after the unexpected punch. Chump examined his hand.
"Freaking hell, that hurt. What are you made of, metal? Geez christ! How about you fucking town down how bitch you are?"
The princess placed her other hand on her cheek. It didn't hurt too much, but it hurt more than expected. Her grinning face transformed into one of fury, and her aura intensified by the moment.
And clench her obsidian draconic fist.
This character is a bit inspired of all media i had, a representation of raw power, but doesnt mean she is the strongest, nah nah nah.
Still the original name i had her is waaay worse than the one now. In fact, i was gonna try to do a super more juvenile concept for the characters in general...
But i am damn tired of seeing a lot of anime and manga with teenagers. I wanted something more adult with people who could handle those things in more responsible (or unresponsible) ways.
KYAHAHAHAHA!~
