Nightmares

She cried and weeped for long until she became a sobbing mess. Her body gave up and she went into a deep slumber reminiscing him. She was laying at the edge of the bed holding his photograph close to her chest curled up like a baby. It was the photograph of him cupping her face and kissing her forehead lovingly on the day on which he promised her to be by her side always and forever. She had her eyes closed with a pleasant smile on her face.

It has been few hours that she went into her room and did not return back. Emily was getting impatient and continuously cursing herself for bringing Ashton into their conversation for she knew how sensitive Anna was regarding him. Nevertheless, she could not stop herself from making her things understand that this life was too long and she was too young to live it all alone by herself. She sighed and went into her room with a guilt of knowingly hurting her.

It was dark all around, nothing could be seen except a faint light where she saw a shadow of a man. She could only see his back but it was enough for her to realize it was none other than her Ashton. She tried to reach him, called his name out several times but could not reach him. The more she went close to him, he seemed to go far out of her reach. She felt as if she was trapped in an endless abyss where she could see her love, her only source of light in this darkness but still felt aloof from him. Gradually, she felt as if her surroundings were turning darker and the shadow was vanishing which made her panicked because she was feeling the trauma of loosing him again. She cried out his name but all her efforts turned futile. He receded from her view and she shuddered at loosing him once again.

"Ashton..... "

She jolted up from her slumber. She was panting and gasping for air to breathe. It was the same nightmare which she experienced every night since three years. His absence has vacant her heart with all the emotions except pain and hurt and she felt nothing but hollow. She knew she has to endure his dearth for the people whom he left behind. However, he never bound her with any liability but she knew the significance of the people around him in his life and she was adamant to fulfill his every duty and dream that he left behind him. Once again, she spent a restless night only thinking about him.

Next morning, she dressed up and came out of her room where she was greeted by the delicious smell of breakfast and she felt her stomach growling.

"Morning Princess"

"Morning Dad, morning Em."

"Anna, come join us, I have cooked your favourite Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. and about yesterday umm..... I am so..... "

"Shhh..... It's okay Em. I know all you wish is well for me but let's cut this out. Forget about yesterday. Well, if I had known that after being upset with you for a while, you would cook me my favorite dishes, I would have done that long ago."

Emily chuckled and felt her heart at relief.

"You know what Anna I would love to do this for you everyday if possible. Thanks and I love you. Now let's eat before these dishes freeze."

Richard saw both of them conversating about something. Although he had no idea what they were talking but he could easily guess everything as he knew his daughters very well.

Anna head to the Watson Corporation and went straight to her office. She was finally going to reach her goal of fulfilling the biggest dream of Ashton and was eagerly awaiting for the merger with the Knights Enterprise which was going to make it come true soon. She has worked hard over it for an year now and all her efforts were going to pay her if the merger would go smoothly without any hassle. It was not that she was unable to pull the project on her own but as soon as she came to know about it to be the dream project of Ashton, she wanted to accomplish it at the earliest.

Knights Enterprise was one of the biggest conglomerate in the business world in Seattle. However, they were willing to extend their business up-to New York and what would be better than the association with the Watson Corporation who was the leading business house of New York. Both the Companies were sure to create an uproar in the business world with their merger and she was looking forward to it .

Nonetheless she knew that this unification was going to change her life forever.
