It was a pleasant morning in Seattle.
KNIGHTS CORPORATION
It was a huge forty story office building, all curved glass and metal with KNIGHTS CORPORATION written discretely in steel over the front door made of glass.
Inside the CEO's office, it was all silent except the sound of the laptop keys that were frequently disturbing the tranquil atmosphere around. The man working was none other than Regan Knight, the youngest business tycoon of Seattle and the most eligible bachelor. His office was way too big for a single person. There was a modern black wooden desk, his favorite spot of loosing himself in his work, followed by the coffee table by the couch. Everything else was white from floor to ceiling and even the walls except the one beside him which was a glass wall that gave an exquisite view of the city right from the top.
Dressed in a grey suit which exactly matched his grey orbs with a crisp white shirt inside, he was no less than an Adonis who could swoon any girl off her feet with just his looks.
Regan joined his father's Company five years back and since then he had never looked back as work has always been his first love and passion which brought him to the position where he was now. He was conceited and ruthless when it came to his business. Although he never took the initiative to rebuke others but he believe to give an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth to those who came in his way.
He was certainly looking forward to the newest venture of New York where the Knights would be collaborating with the Watsons. Of course it was going to be one of the biggest collaboration in the business world as both the business houses were quiet prestigious. Although he was not happy with the idea of the merger but owing to his father's decision, he decided to go with the flow.
"Regan Knight... don't forget that you have other things to deal with other than your so called business." Nathan Knight, his father barged into his office to remind him about their new venture. However, he was sure that Regan would never forget about his business deals even in his dreams.
Regan rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Hey old man, what are you up-to? Have you taken a shot instead of coffee this morning?"
"Don't hey me kiddo..... You missed the family dinner last weekend. Do you realize how difficult it was for me to make your mom understand that her son is now a business tycoon who may have his fair share of deals even on the weekends. How can you forget about it? "
"Dad... I am sorry for the inconvenience and trouble that I created for you and you had to deal with mom all alone but I promise I would make it to her. Anyways, thanks for dealing with her this time. And it was really an important deal which I could not let go otherwise I would not have broken our family tradition for anything in the world. What about a lunch on Friday? Anyway we are leaving in the evening for New York."
"Hmm.....sounds good. I'll inform your mom about this. Well young man, you always have something up your sleeve and your mom is too innocent to understand your delude. Well, I will take your leave then. See you on Friday ." As soon as Nathan walked out Regan sighed on his father's antics and get back to his work .
Soon he was done with his work and meetings. It was almost evening and he was all set for his date with the new girl, Tracy Jones in town. Although he was not a player but he was a man with needs and so he dated some girls for his pleasure. However, none of them seemed to hold his heart for long as he had built strong walls around himself to keep him at bay with an emotion called love which was nothing but a sham and a fool's errand for him, a procrastination which could distract one away from their goals.
However, he never knew that he would be soon experiencing this wonderful emotion in which he would happily dive and would never intend to come back on the surface.
