Class in Session Cont'd

Mary had made us some fresh cups of Green tea, with a zest of lemon and complimented it with Cumcumber finger sandwiches. My mouth was in heaven. "Normally, we'd have tea first, but you two were busy with your lesson" Mary said. "No, it's perfect, I love the combinations" Dahlia said. "Mary, will finish off the lessons for today, I will be going to the salon for a much needed hair cut, when we're finished" Ethel stated. Dahlia was lost in thought with the previous lessons. She wouldn't help be puzzled by some of the things that relate to the mating ritual and bearing pups. "If royals are known to have multiples, why was a single birth?" Dahlia blurted out. Mary and Ethel were also puzzled by her question. "That's a great question, let me go grab a book that has more information in it" Ethel said as she ran off to the back. You hear Ethel rummaging through papers and moving books. "Found it!" you hear Ethel yell from the back. We watch as Ethel rushes towards us holding a giant book that dates back centuries. "That's a big book!" Dahlia exclaimed. "Yes, it holds the answers to so many different things. I'll flip to the page I think it's on. Old books like this don't really have a table of context" Ethel stated. Dahlia sat suspenseful, as Ethel flipped, and flipped through the book. Ethel stops on a page and reads through it carefully and she starts ready from the book. "When a wolf's spirit is damaged, it can cause other complications. In such cases we have noted that; Behavioral and reproductive health are affected the most. We have documented that; Illness, purity and magic have the most profound effects on Behavioral and especially Reproductive health. If a wolf is hindered in anyway by outside forces, they will not perform to the true capabilities of their lineage, including royal heirs" Ethel read the passage. "Oh my god!" Dahlia said. "Dark influencing magic!" Dahlia gasped. "You may be onto something. There have been documented cases of wolf's affected by dark magic. I think this is what caused you to be a single birth" Mary stated. "However, we have noticed a pattern in Ravenwood historical births. Since we've been alive, the females have always been a singleton and males tend to be in multiples" Ethel stated. "You never know what the moon goddess has planned for us" Mary stated. "Cheer up my dear. It's a real miracle you're still with us today" Ethel stated. Ethel looked at her wrist watch. "I really must be going, I don't want to be late for my hair appointment" Ethel stated. "Take care" Dahlia said. "I'll see you at Dinner" Mary stated. We watched as Ethel headed out of the tea house, leaving behind just a chime of the bell. "Dahlia, for our next lesson, we will learn the ways of the candle lighting ceremony" Mary exclaimed. Dahlia was excited to hear the next lesson didn't have to do with sex and birthing pups. Dahlia knows it's information she needs to learn but it's just so overwhelming. "What is the candle lighting ceremony?" Dahlia said. "At your suitors ball, when you find your mate, if you two do not reject one another, you will go to the table lighting ceremony and light your candle" Mary stated. "Okay, but what does lighting a candle have to do with anything?" Dahlia asked. "Candles are quite symbolic, Dahlia. They bring light to the darkness and it's said they bring like to the spirit of truth. They reduce stress and can increase your self awareness. The candle is important because it tells everyone that bares witness that eternal love your expressing can never be extinguished" Mary stated. Dahlia couldn't help but become emotional. A tear left her cheek. "I never looked at a candle that way before" Dahlia stated. "Oh, don't be upset, candle can be used for all kinds of things. In Ravenwood, the candle lighting ceremony is sacred" Mary stated. "Do wolves really love each other for the rest of their lives?" Dahlia asked. "My dear girl, we are destined to be with our fated mate forever, that's the moon goddesses wish, but some wolves fo reject their mates" Mary stated. "What happens after the lighting ceremony?" Dahlia asked. "If both wolves accept each other, you will walk hand and hand to share a dance; A Waltz" Mary exclaimed. "Oh lucky for me, I actually know how to do the Waltz" Dahlia said. "We can always refine you dance skills before the suitors ball, so don't you worry" Mary stated. "That's really all I have planned for you today. We plan for another etiquette class, in the upcoming week" Mary stated. "Class is over so soon?" Dahlia asked. "Silly child, we have been here most the day, it's after 4pm" Mary stated. "I better go check on my dad, he's been locked away in his study most of the day" Dahlia states. "I won't keep you any longer, go see your father" Mary stated. Dahlia waved goodbye as she exited the tea house. Dahlia waved and said hello to pack members as she head for the water mirror. It was surprising she ran into Jackson. "Hey Jackson" Dahlia stated. "Luna!" Jackson said with a bow. Dahlia chuckled at his formalities. "What brings you here?" Jackson asked. "I have lessons to learn for the upcoming suitors ball" Dahlia stated. "Mary and Ethel?" Jackson asked. "Yes! I love those two" Dahlia stated. "I'm on my way to go check in on my dad. He locked himself in his study today" Dahlia said inching closer to the water mirror. "Do, you want me to come with you?" Jackson asked. "No, it's okay, just work on the defenses and I'll call you when I need you. Dad's being sensitive is all" Dahila said. "No need to say more" Jackson said. He waved goodbye and Dahlia stepped through the water mirror. Dahlia took her time walking back to the mansion. The sun felt nice and the breeze continued to tease her. It took everything she had not to go horse play. Finally, reaching the mansion doors she opened the brass doors and walked inside to check on her dad. Dahlia made her way to her father's study. 'Knock, Knock' Dahlia gently beat on the door. There was no answer. She tried a couood more times. 'Knock, knock, knock....Knock, knock'. Dahlia opened the study door and peaked her head in to see her father was asleep in his chair. Dahlia chuckled and closed the door, leaving her father to rest. Dahlia decided to go take a rest herself and headed to her comfy place.
