Chapter 59 - A battle of generations
Following his grandfather's instructions, Akio powers down to his normal state, but he kneels, feeling intense repercussions from activating and using Resonance for a prolonged amount of time, not because Apotheosis does not exist inside of him, but because the pressure on his body has far beyond Akio's limit.
Akio spits blood, and his grandfather tries to help him stand, having him sit on the bench nearby, but Akio says that he's mostly alright, though he feels as if he's been drained of all magic and stamina.
"It looks like this mask is a pain in the ass. Oh well, I'll overcome it, one way or another."
"You better."
The two have a small laugh, but Akio's grandmother comes to the training room, wondering what the earlier display of power was about.
"Nothing, grandma, you needn't worry."
"Alright, but please don't overexert yourself."
"I won't, but I'll need you not to worry. Please. Me and grandpa are doing fine."
