Chapter 50: The Ceremony Begins

“Finally, we can celebrate!” Dana shouted. A huge smile wove through her elegant features. She was dressed in a long caramel colored designer gown. With cream-colored sandals. Her signature red painted nails provided a striking contrast.

Stella turned to her new friend who always told her the honest truth. “How do I look?” She asked.

“You look great.” Dana said. Short and to the point. As always.

Stella’s flowing, sleeveless, silk gown was adorned with delicately embroidered lace. A couture design symbolizing the crest of the Orloff pack. It’d been commissioned by Bennett’s mother over a decade ago.

The woman gave it to Stella to wear, along with a beautiful strand of her own pearls. She’d whispered in Stella’s ear that she’d never liked Monica. That the dress and Bennett were always meant to be hers. They just hadn’t known it until now.
