Sylvia, a twenty-one-year-old hybrid suddenly gets caught in a storm when her pack members begin to die due to a plague. Her father, the alpha also does along. There is turmoil and sorrow in the pack and Sylvia, the new alpha is torn between what to do. It's not that there is no solution for this problem. But just what will she do when it turns out the man who has the solution doesn't just want her to step back for him? He also seems to want her body.
"What are you doing here?" one of the guards questioned the moment she arrived there.
"I am here to speak with alpha Nolan," she simply replied. "Please tell him I would like to speak with him. It is a very pressing matter."
The guard nodded and went inside to inform Nolan.
A few seconds later, the guard came back and led her into Nolan's room. After which he left.
The moment she entered Nolan's office, she saw him seated behind his desk. He seemed to be busy as he buried his head into a pile of books, the pen in his scribbling so fast that she could not keep up with the movement.
Bianca was stunned for a moment as she looked at the man. He was a very handsome man, no doubt. But, he seemed even more handsome when he was so focused.
She was also tempted by him and secretly hoped he would notice her. After all, which of the unmated females in the pack did not harbor such hopes toward him?
But, it was simply a dream to hope he would. They all knew better that not only was he an impatient man and most likely would not treat them well, he had very good taste. He would not pay attention to anyone below his level.
He did not acknowledge her presence. But she knew better than to think he did not know she was there. She bowed and greeted him.
"Alpha."
"Is there any problem?" he asked her. He did not even look up at her.
Bianca had this great frown on her face, which made her look quite ugly. Her forehead crumpled while her lips twitched out.
"Yes my Lord," she replied.
Alpha Nolan was a very observant type. He noticed the anger on her face and the pain in her voice and this made him more interested in whatever she had to say. So, he looked up and clasped his palms.
"Go on and tell me what is wrong. I am all ears," he voiced.
"Before I speak my lord, please I need you to assure me that you will not act out of rage or punish anyone for whatever I'm about to say," she said to him.
Nolan said nothing. All he did was nod his head at her.
"My mate Xavier has been lurking around Sylvia a little too much nowadays. I have seen them countless times together and I can tell that they are both hiding something," she informed.
Nolan sat upright upon hearing this. His gaze narrowed and his eyes had already begun to spark in red colors.
"Sylvia?" he asked, waiting for her to clarify better.
Bianca seemed to be happy with the way things were going. The anger in his eyes was very visible and the thickness of his voice could not be mistaken.
"Answer me!" he barked and repeated the question. 'Sylvia?"
"Yes, alpha. It is Sylvia," she replied in a sharp tone.
At this point, Bianca greatly believed that he was going to drive Sylvia out of their pack but alpha Nolan was indeed a very unpredictable man.
He nodded to her because he was probably short of words. Then he waved his hand as a signal to tell her to leave.
