Chapter 5 The Honkai and House's

-Rei pov-

As I opened my eyes, I found myself in an unfamiliar room. There, I noticed a little girl with white hair sleeping next to me. It was still dark outside, but the morning light was starting to creep in, indicating that it would soon be morning.

"I'm probably at Aunt Cecilia's house," I muttered to myself as I left the room, leaving Kiana sleeping.

As I walked out of the room, I saw a little girl drinking a green substance. She had a small figure, white hair, and blue eyes. Judging by her appearance, I guessed that she might be Siegfried's cousin or relative.(Image here)

"Eh?" The little girl with white hair noticed me walking out of the room. She looked surprised, as if she hadn't expected to see me. "I didn't know Cecilia had another child! And he must be around 2 or 3 years old by now!"

She exclaimed as she approached me, inspecting me closely. "You really look like Cecilia," she muttered loudly enough for me to hear.

Do I really look like Aunt Cecilia?

"Hello, I'm Rei Gojo, Aunt Cecilia's nephew," I explained to avoid any misunderstanding about my identity.

"Oh, is that so... Is your mother Leticia?" She asked, tilting her head, clearly confused about something.

"Yes, my mother's name is Leticia, and my father is Gojo Hisashi," I replied, thinking it best to provide both my parents' names since she seemed to know them.

"I see," she replied, suddenly becoming quiet, lost in thought.

"Onee-san, where's the toilet?" I asked urgently, unable to hold it in any longer.

"Aunt," the little girl corrected me, which only added to my confusion.

"Call me Auntie Theresa," she said, apparently noticing my confusion, but I really needed to go to the toilet.

"Auntie Theresa, where's the toilet?" I asked, ignoring the oddity of her request since she looked about twelve.

She picked me up and said, "I'll take you there."

"Thank you, Auntie Theresa," I said gratefully, not minding being carried since I was in a hurry.

-Theresa pov-

Damn you, Siegfried! How dare you marry Cecelia behind my back!

I lamented how much I hated Siegfried, but in the end, there was nothing I could do about it because they loved each other. But it should have been me!

I sipped my new creation, bitter melon tea, which I made with the help of Grandpa.

It was strange that he refused to take a single sip, or why he looked at it with horror.

Maybe I was just tired; it's impossible to look at the most delicious thing with horror.

Lost in my thoughts, I noticed the door to Kiana's room open, expecting to see my niece's excited expression upon seeing me.

But to my shock, it was someone else who appeared—someone who looked like Cecilia! He had white hair, similar to Cecilia's, and blue eyes, just like hers. His cute, round baby face only made him look more like her.

I had no idea Cecilia had another child!

After a few minutes of conversation about the little guy, I found out that he was Leticia's son.

It had been a long time since I saw her. I didn't even know she had given birth to a son.

Leaving the toilet, Rei glanced at Theresa, puzzled by why she was waiting for him. Suddenly, a thought struck him, and he quickly backed away, looking at Theresa with horror.

'Is she a pedophile?' Rei wondered, getting alarmed by her intense gaze.

'He really looks like Cecilia!' Theresa thought to herself, unaware that Rei was already suspecting her motives.

As the two stared at each other, lost in their thoughts, Siegfried arrived, and got puzzled by their exchange.

"Ah!" Siegfried exclaimed, suddenly remembering something. "I forgot that Theresa was obsessed with Cecilia. It must be surprising for you to see someone who looks like her."

"Oh, so that's it," Rei muttered, loud enough for both Theresa and Siegfried to hear.

"I'm not obsessed with her!" Theresa protested, but seeing Rei's reaction only made her grit her teeth.

When she glanced at Siegfried and saw his smirk, she couldn't help but want to punch that smug face.

"It's still early in the morning, you should sleep more," Siegfried said, patting Rei's head and ignoring Theresa's presence.

"I'm an early riser, and once I'm awake, I can't go back to sleep," Rei replied. He walked back to the living room and decided to ask, "Uncle Siegfried, what is Honkai?"

Hearing his question, Siegfried scratched his head and said, "You shouldn't know about this until you're five, but learning about it earlier won't hurt.

"Honkai is a destructive force that threatens humanity. It's a mysterious energy that corrupts and mutates living beings, causing chaos and destruction wherever it appears."

"The solution to the Honkai outbreak was Valkyries and Knights. They are powerful heroes who fight against the Honkai threat. They possess extraordinary abilities and wield various weapons to combat the forces of Honkai beast."

"Each Valkyrie has their own unique skills, strengths, and backstory. Without resistance to Honkai, it would be impossible for you to become a knight or Valkyrie. Plus, there are many organizations fighting against the Honkai," Siegfried explained.

"For example, there's Shicksal, one of the two main organizations leading the fight against the Honkai. It was established in the fifth century and has been active ever since. Unlike its rival organization based in North America, Shicksal's influence is far greater and extends over its homeland."

"The organization is currently led by Otto Apocalypse and was first established in Europe. Today, their power extends throughout all of Eurasia, with the headquarters somewhere above the Mediterranean Sea."

"I can't explain about the ancient Houses or Clans whose main goal is eradicating the Honkai, as I ran away from my own clan during my childhood," Siegfried admitted, his proud smile turning into embarrassment.

"Yeah, you were quite the troublemaker when you were young," Theresa chimed in, smirking at him and clearly enjoying his embarrassing past.

Rolling his eyes, Siegfried decided to ignore her, which annoy Theresa once again, she wasn't satisfied with her revenge.

"You should learn about the House of Schariac," Theresa said, hugging Rei tightly and not wanting to let him go. "The perfect person to explain that would be Cecilia, as she was your aunt."

"Theresa, it's still early for him to know about the main abilities of the Schariac house," Cecelia interjected, smiling gently at Theresa, which made her smile back. "But Rei is intelligent enough, so maybe he can learn it, to protect himself just in case."

"The House Schariac is an important family in the world," Cecelia explained, raising her hand to control the pink energy that Rei had always seen since his birth. "The Schariacs have excellent control over Honkai energies, and their fighters mainly consist of women who have a chance to inherit the Holy Blood."

"If you can see this pink energy, it means you inherited the Schariac bloodline, and there's a small chance you have holy blood," Cecelia said, pausing as she noticed Rei could indeed see the Honkai energy, which made her smile gently. She then created a small wound on her hand, and the blood floated around her finger, taking various forms before returning to her finger and closing the wound.

"As a member of the Three Houses, they are an important pillar of Shicksal, an Anti-Honkai organization, and their role there is the Divine Maiden."

"Does that mean you're a Divine Maiden, Aunt Cecilia?" Rei asked.

Nodding, she replied, "Yes, I'm the current Divine Maiden and an S-rank Valkyrie."

"Siegfried is from the House Kaslana, Theresa is from the House Apocalypse, and she's the granddaughter of the Overseer of Shicksal," Cecelia explained, patting Rei's head and pleased to see him listening carefully.

"I will teach you the fighting style of our family, as the bloodline of Schariac flows through your veins."

Excited, Rei's eyes sparkled as he looked forward to learning those fighting styles, even though he knew he would grasp them easily with just a glance.

"Does that mean I can also learn those amazing gadgets?" he asked, pointing at the window where a battleship was parked.

Siegfried and Cecelia looked at Theresa, who blushed under their gaze.

"I'm sorry, I forgot to activate the camouflage of the battleship I used to arrive here," Theresa admitted, embarrassed by her mistake.

"If Kiana saw this, she wouldn't stop pestering you to let her ride it," Siegfried explained, knowing Theresa was weak against Kiana's requests.

Cecelia smiled wryly, agreeing with Siegfried's assessment.
