Chapter 4

Watching Siegfried's car disappear, Leticia couldn't hold back her tears any longer.

"I'm sorry, Rei," she choked out, her voice rough as she watched the car vanish. "I'm sorry for leaving you so soon."

Collapsing to the ground, clutching his diary tightly, she whispered, "What am I doing here?"

After a moment, she gathered herself, her expression shifting to determination. "I'm Leticia, Rei's mother, the wife of a brilliant scientist who created a powerful weapon against the Herrscher."

"I'm a Valkyrie, one of the strongest," she reminded herself, pushing herself up from the ground. "Crying won't change anything."

Entering the house, she headed for the basement, where her battle suit awaited. "Looks like it's time for another adventure," she said, donning her suit and admiring her figure in the mirror.

"Even after giving birth and years without training, I still look good," she chuckled to herself, a confident smile on her face. (Image here)

Curiosity getting the best of her, Leticia glance at her son's diary and began to read.

Day 1: I'm 3 months old and already learned to write. Maybe because I have a perfect body?

Day 2: I've started reading a lot of books in the library, and it's easy to learn when you have a perfect memory. Although, I won't forget embarrassing moments like how mom breastfed me.

1 year later:

Day 1: Haha, I'm one year old now and already read everything about Biology. But we don't have any engineering books here, so I'll ask Dad tomorrow.

Day 2: Dad gave me a lot of engineering books now. The grind never stops, but why am I fixated on learning? Well, it never hurts anyway.

A month later:

My reading speed has gotten a lot faster, and I've learned how to control time. I'm amazing! Now I've finished reading all the engineering books.

It's surprising to see my mother in this world looks similar to my mom from my own world. Though I can't remember my original mother's appearance since she died from cancer when I was three.

My dad faced a similar fate, dying in a traffic accident.

After becoming an orphan, my aunt adopted me and treated me like her own child. Her daughter and husband treated me the same, like family.

Now, I miss them.

But Still, I won't let my mother die from cancer. That's why I always use those floating pink energy to heal her.

Year 3:

Day 1: I've mastered everything about engineering. Now, I need a computer to start my own project. I hope they'll let me have one tomorrow.

Day 2: As expected, they wouldn't give me a computer. So, I decided to dismantle Dad's favorite car.

Day 3: I took apart his favorite car and fixed it. Dad really loves it, as it's now flawless inside and out.

Day 4: I discovered something incredible in the basement: an awesome laser gun.

Mom, if you're reading this, I don't understand why you're ill. What will happen to this country, to you, and Dad?

I wanted to know the reason, so I took matters into my own hands and downloaded all of Dad's files onto a USB. Don't worry, I won't leak any information, but I'll create my own things. You better take care of yourself.

If you're wondering if I'm really your son, the answer is yes. After all, I inherited my handsomeness from Mom.

Jokes aside, I hope you keep this information hidden from this world. In my original world, you died, but I won't explain how.

Once I've decided on something, I won't give up, so don't try to persuade me.

"Out of all things, you inherited my stubbornness," Leticia whispered, glancing at the diary and discovering many things about her son.

"In the end, you're still my baby boy," she giggled as she left the house and sprinted in the direction of Babylon Laboratory, where her husband was.

As a skilled Valkyrie, she was incredibly strong and fast, faster than a speeding train.

Rei and the others arrived at the airport.

Siegfried and Cecelia stepped out of the car, with Cecelia holding Kiana and Siegfried carrying Rei.

They stood in front of a massive private plane, which made Rei's eyes light up with excitement.

He was already thinking about taking it apart to learn more about it, as reading books wasn't the same as seeing it in person.

"Aunt Cecilia, Uncle Sieg... Can I take apart and rebuild that plane?" Rei asked, his expression full of hope.

"Although I also want to do that but we can't," Siegfried smiled awkwardly. "This plane belongs to the leader of Schicksal, we've just borrowed it."

Rei's expression fell. "Is that so."

Kiana reassured him with a smile. "Don't worry, Rei. When we get home, we can ask Auntie Teri-ri if we can take apart some planes. Maybe we'll even find an Arahato there."

Rei chuckled at Kiana's imagination. Despite this world's advancement, he knew there were no robots like Arahato. It was just an anime, similar to Gundam, created by ME Corp.

Not only Rei and Kiana got excited but Siegfried joined in too, he also wanted to pilot some mecha.

"Just like your mother said you like machinery and gadgets." Cecilia giggle patting Rei head.

"I also want some pat." Kiana asked extending her hands at Cecilia.

Cecilia couldn't help but giggle at her daughter's cuteness.

The four of them boarded the private plane, and after a brief moment, it began to taxi down the runway, and takeoff.

"Rei, look! There's a flying fish over there!" Kiana exclaimed, pointing out the window.

Rei looked out and saw a group of fish attempting to fly, but he was more amazed by the speed of the plane.

This was his first time flying in a plane during his entire childhood. He was amazed to see that this private jet had some change. he knew the plane's original speed from the book, but it wasn't similar to the plane they were riding in.

Kiana was so tired that she suddenly closed her eyes and leaned her head on Rei's shoulder.

"She must be really tired," Rei whispered, seeing the little girl sleeping peacefully.

Rei gazed into the distance, marveling at the vastness of the sky and the sea.

Watching Rei slowly fall asleep, Siegfried and Cecelia couldn't help but feel sorry for the kid.

"He's going through a lot," Cecelia said, gently patting Rei's head and looking warmly at him.

"Yeah, I wonder how long we'll have to keep fighting the Honkai," Siegfried muttered.

"I don't know, but I hope we can stop the Honkai Eruption before it happened."

Siegfried looked at the two kids sleeping next to each other. "I hope so too. I'm worried about their future."
