Blood Must Have Blood Part 1

Shadow's POV

Bellamy and I crawled through the vent to get back where we started. He grabbed the keys and unlocked the grounders cage. " It's time to go. I told you I'd come back for you" Bellamy tells her. "Come on out. Our people are marching on Mount weather right now" Bellamy explained as he helped her out of the cage. I begin helping others out of the cage but the guy kicked me. "Hey! Easy they just bled him" the woman warned. "Listen there's an army in this room and I need you to help us get them ready to fight. Can you do that?" I asked her. She nodded and takes a deep breath. "Good, start with him" I ordered her. I walked over to more cages u locking them. "How do we do this?" She asked. "There's an army outside heading for the main door. When they get it open all hell will break loose. That is the signal for my friends to come here and then—" suddenly a PA sound burst on. "My fellow citizens this is your president speaking" Wallace came on over the intercom. "I have news to share with you...that will change all of our lives... forever," he says. "For 97 years Mount weather has been our home. It's kept us alive but it also held us captive. Most of us made peace with what we've had to do to survive. We've done these things for one reason. So that our people could someday return to the ground. That day is today" he says. "He's going public..." I whispered. "Before my friend, Lorelei Tsing...was murdered by the outsiders still at large in this mountain she found a cure. It was in their bone marrow" Cage Wallace tells everyone over the intercom. Bellamy suddenly grabbed the woman hand and place the keys into them. "Here. I'll be back" he tells us. "Where are you going Bellamy?" I asked him. "He's trying to get his people to turn on each other. They'll find our friends. I have to bring them here now. I'll need to send them in groups" Bellamy explained. "We" I corrected him. "What?" He asked. "I came here to help, not watch you get yourself hurt...now I'm coming with you so don't argue with me!" I raised my voice. He nodded "You get your people ready to go, but wait for us to come back. Got it?" I asked, turning to the woman. She nodded as Bellamy grabbed my hand and began pulling me with him towards the door. "Wait!" She called out, causing us to stop. "Thank you..." she smiled. "Free your people. Protect mine when they get here" I ordered her. "We can thank each other when we're all outside" I added before we slipped out of the room. "This has been the dream of our people since the bombs. But to reach it now I need your help" Cage Wallace goes on. "The 44 criminals that eradicated level 5...killing 15 of our people are now keeping us from that dream" he explained as Bellamy and I run out into the halls. "Although we've repaired our home we can never replace the lives that we so viciously taken from us. Yet as hard as it is to believe there are those along us who would help the people who did this. I am speaking to you now. If you truly want to end the blood treatment once and for all then the 44 murderers you're now hiding are the key to doing that" he went on as we rushed down more halls. "You have one hour to turn them in without punishment. After that, we'll be forced to consider you enemies of the state. I'm asking...please. Do what's right for your people, our people. So we all can take our rightful place in the ground" he says. "We're almost home..." he finished. We headed straight for Vincent place and run into the room. "We need to get through the vents" Bellamy tells him. We rushed over into the vent and climbed inside. "They've caught my daughter" Vincent tells us. "We'll get them back, block the way from sector 3 and we'll wait in the vent" I instructed him. He rushed out of his house. We crawled before stopping as I here Vincent's voice. "Out of the way, Vincent" the guard ordered him. "That's my daughter" Vincent responded. "Dad, don't!" Maya begged him. "Quiet!" The guard says. "She's been aiding and abetting the outsiders. You need to get out of our way" he ordered again. "I won't let you take her, Paul" Vincent says to the guard. "Listen carefully. We've got orders. She knows where they're hiding. Now, step aside. I'm not gonna ask you again" the guard order once more. "If you want her. You gotta go through me" Vincent tells him as we get right up to the vent. Bellamy pointed his gun through the space. "Dad, please. They'll kill you" I hear Maya begging as she cried. "Don't make me do this!" The guard takes out his weapon. "I'm sorry Paul..." Vincent whispered. Bang! Suddenly Bellamy pulled the trigger and the bullet goes through the guards head. Vincent opened the vent and Bellamy and I come crawling out as Miller choked out the other guard with the chains on his wrist. "Hey...good job" I pat Vincent on the arm. "Thank you" he chuckled. "Miller you okay?" Bellamy asked him. "Better than you" Miller joked. "Get everyone to the Harvest Chamber, you'll be safer there" I explained to them.safe in the harvest Chamber?" My sister asked as Vincent unlocked her hands. "Just trust me..." I rolled my eyes. "Are the others there?" Jasper asked. "Not yet" Bellamy says. "Monty?" He questioned. "Monty's with the other group on level 3" Vincent informed everyone. "We moved them after the last sweep. You two should go there next" Vincent suggested. "Alright, Go with Vincent you will take you. We won't be long" I tell them. "Hey!" Jasper called out as we were about to leave. "I'm coming with you" Jasper picked up a gun. "Jasper..." I sighed. "I promised I'd protect them, that's exactly what I'm gonna do" Jasper tells us. "Let's go..." I shake my head and walked off with Bellamy.

We rushed out of the vent "We don't have much time. The last 12 are in this level. Including Monty" I informed Jasper and Bellamy. Jasper helped Maya out of the vent "Which way?" Jasper asked her. "This way!" She pointed. We all lead down the hall and I hold up my gun as an alarm blares through the air. Maya stopped "it's okay. We're not gonna let anything happen to you, right?" Jasper turned me Bellamy and me. "Jasper in 30 minutes all backup power gets diverted for species continuity. That means level 5 for life support and security. Radiation will seep in everywhere else. I can't go to level 5 without being shot in the head" she says. "Guys, we need to keep moving" Bellamy tells them both. "We'll get you your hazmat suit. Extra oxygen. Enough to last until your engineers get the power on" Jasper suggested to her. "The what? Think Cage Wallace is gonna let me live here after that?" she pointed out. "Then we kill him" he hissed out. I arched my brow at Bellamy who looks surprised by Jasper's words too. Bang! I jumped at the sound of a gun. "Monty..." Jasper whispered before we all run down the hall. We hear commotion around the corner. "Wait..." I whispered. "Be ready for anything" I tell them. I slipped around the corner with my gun drawn just as the elevator doors closed. They all follow me over to the body. "It's miss Ryan" Maya stated. "She was hiding the last 12..." I sighed. "Where'd they take them?" Jasper asked. "It's gotta be level 5" Maya suggested. Jasper tried to go for the elevator. "No" Bellamy stands in his way. "Get out of my way" Jasper ordered him. "Every person inside this mountain is on level 5. Every soldier. Tell him" Bellamy says to me. "Jaspers right..." Maya says. "After the lockdown. It's almost impossible to get them out. It's now or never" Maya explained. "All right. But how to do we even—" Bellamy was cut off by a noise and we all turned on our heels, pointing our guns at the door as it opened. Monty slowly comes out "Monty..." I sigh. His face is full of guilt. "What's wrong?" I asked him. "They know about the grounders. That's why I hid" he lowered his head. "I didn't do anything to save the others. I let them kill Miss Ryan" Monty explained. "What do you mean they know about the Grounders?" I asked Monty. "It's on a soldiers walkie...they're going for the Harvest Chamber" Monty informed us. My heart dropped know that's where we sent the others. "If they take it...We lose everyone" I almost choked out. Bellamy and I take off at the same time towards the chambers and Jasper, Monty and Maya follow behind us.

We storm into the Harvest Chamber to see it completely empty besides one person lying dead on the floor. "No!" Maya sobbed when she sees her father dead. "No!" She cried out as she was kneel beside him and begins sobbing. "B-Bellamy....they're all gone" I say, smacking him on the arm. "Their all...gone" I shake my head. How could this be possible?
