This is a Terror Infinity fan-fic, obviously... But, now that I'm in it, things might go differently. Yeah just a heads up, I haven't actually finish reading TI cause of the bad translations. Hope you enjoy like I will. This is a story of a messed up guy, that tried to cope with society by emulating what is known to be the norm. Using a set of rules or code taught to him by his mentor. But, as he enters God's dimension... He will come to a realization. P.S. This is a version taken from the raw one I wrote due to boredom in the quarantine so for those who had read the raw one... sorry you had to read thru that cluster F*ck.

Oops...

As everyone gathered at the control room, Kris watched as Kaplan wrestled with the AI in order to open the thick metal door that leads to the hallway of death.

According to the schematics that Kaplan pulled up before, the control room, and the room where the mainframe is located, is seperated by a secured hallway in between two thick metal doors.

Now if you have watched the movie, you'll know what lays within that hallway. If you answered lasers, you're spot on.

Kris was now standing next to Zheng, whispered,"Hey! Do you think we should say something, they don't know about the death trap that's waiting for them in that hallway."

Zheng wasn't able to give his opinion as Number One noticed that Kris was whispering something to Zheng.

"Trainee Wu! If you have something to say, speak out loud so the whole class could hear. Why don't you?!"

Kris snapped into attention, and gave a salute as if it was second nature to him when Number One called him out.

On the top of his voice he said,"Sir! Yes! Sir! My apologies, Sir. I was just pointing out to Mr. Zha here that in basic training we were taught to secure every entrance in an area of operation."

"Given that you have assigned two personnel to guard the main exit, would it not be logical to post a personnel outside this door since it is what S.O.P. dectates? That's all Sir!"

He ended his words as he placed his hands back to his side, and stood straight in attention.

Everyone were so shocked by this display, and this further eliminated Number One's doubts on Kris's background.

Even the other four mercs in the room were impressed, by the ingrained discipline that have been indoctrinated unto Kris.

They couldn't imagine the training he must have gone thru that even after a memory loss, his body still remembered how to address a superior officer.

Number One could only sigh as he said,"At ease trainee, It's good to see that you haven't forgotten your training at least. For that I grant you the task to man that door outside."

Kris gave another salute, and went out the door closing it behind him.

When the door was closed tight, Kris sighed in relief as his acting passed the screening.

He had just successfully cleared any suspicion on him, and solidified his possition within the group with just a bit of acting.

When Kris left the room, the mercs, Alice, and Spence laughed a little at Kris's performance.

"I like'd to offer a medical to that kid's instructor, if he hasn't died from a stroke yet." Said the medic.

The blonde merc laughed saying,"That kid isn't half bad, he just have a very active imagination. I'll be surprised if he had even met Alice before this."

The other merc said,"There's no harm in letting the kid dream ain't it? Unless he has a chance?" He then looked towards Alice.

When Alice saw that they were all looking at her, she replied,"Not a chance."

There little fun was cut off by the metal door snapping open.

Unbeknownst to them Zheng on the corner was being eaten up by guilt.

He tried to stop himself, and tell himself he has no right to interfere, He can't put the lives of the other players in danger just to save some movie characters.

When he looked up to the still smiling faces of those very movie characters. He couldn't take it anymore, and frantically stopped the mercs from proceeding.

Meanwhile...

On the other side of the doors Kris could vaguely hear Number One said coldly, "I was suspicious of you from the beginning. Even though your identities were registered in the corporation."

"But, you don't seem like a security operative. And, now you're trying to stop us from rebooting the Red Queen?"

"OK then, Zheng, your coming with us."

Zheng felt his limbs grow cold. His stomach was churning like crazy.

Number One didn't give him the chance to make excuses, and shoved him in the shoulder as they entered the corridor with the others.

Once everyone was inside, just like what happened in the movies, the doors to both sides of the corridor closed up.

Number One, and the mercenaries were holding on their guns cautiously, then he talked to his radio, "Kaplan?"

Kaplan was now panicking, and began to attempt an over ride to shut the defenses down.

The medic died first, losing her head, as the rest dove down to avoid the laser.

The blonde merc was next as he tried to jump over the laser coming towards them, bisecting him at the torso.

Number One dodged the next pass by pulling himself up close to the ceiling.

Lucky for Zheng, who was still hugging the floor as it went after the merc.

When the next pass was about to come, Zheng

grabbed Number One, and ran near the door.

He could only hope that the plot didn't change from this point on. This laser would stop when it almost reached the door.

There was no way to dodge it as it will turn into the shape of a net midway. All he could do was stay near the door and pray that the movie would follow the plot.

Number One was struggling to get out of Zheng's grip as he couldn't see the incoming laser.

"Let go of me! This place will get us cut in half! Let me go!" Number One started screaming.

Zheng grabbed the back of his collar and pressed him closer to the glass window saying, "Trust me! There's no way to dodge it this time. Stay close to the door and we can test our luck! Trust me!"

The laser had formed and started moving towards them. Number One saw its reflection on the glass, and began struggling to get down but Zheng wouldn't let go of him. He had his whole body clung to the door then closed his eyes.

And this is where Kris chose to come in...

He grabbed the fire extinguisher near the door, and motioned to bash the small window on the metal door.

Number One who was still focused on the approaching laser, saw something coming towards him.

Even if it was from the other side of the glass, he couldn't help but pull his head back as he flinched. As Kris smashed the butt of the fire extinguisher at the small window.

Subsequently Number One pulled his head back.

Zheng with his eyes still closed was caught unaware. He was hit right on the nose by Number One's head, causing him to recoil his head back catching the in coming laser grid.

As the lasers shut down, the metal door also opened.

Seeing that Number One was fine, and was holding onto Zheng's shoulders.

Everyone sighed in relief...

When Number One was about to let go of Zheng who still had his eyes closed.

Kris went to pat him in the back and praise him for an incredible amount of luck.

But, as he did so... Zheng's body stumbled forward, landing face first on the solid ground revealing the diced up portion at the back of his head.

Kris could only say one word.

"Oops..."
