The Beginning (1) (Unedited)

Currently within the courtyard of the New Palace, Yuta could be seen sitting at a table while sketching something on multiple pieces of paper.

'So that's the basic layout for the houses, now let's start with the roads.' Yuta thought to himself while he started his plans.

'What type of material should be used for it? Concrete? No, I doubt anyone has any idea what that is or how to make it. What about stone? That could be the best option.'

"You called me Yuta-sama?" A grandfather like voice came from a nearby door as it creaked open.

"Ah yes, Ruval, please come and sit." Yuta said with a smile finding itself on his face.

Ruval returned the smile and made his way over towards the table.

Once he was seated Yuta spoke, "Ruval, I would like you look as these plans and tell me what you think."

Ruval glanced at the papers and immediately his eyes snapped open, 'just what the hell is this?' He muttered under his breath.

By the time he finished finally finished reading over the papers his brows had sweat dripping from them and he had a weird glint in his eyes, "Y-Yuta-sama t-t-this is incredible! I shall put it to work right now!!"

Giving off a small chuckle Yuta said, "Hold on a second Ruval, I just wanted to know what you thought about these plans for the new buildings and roads. There's still a lot of things that need to be done before any construction can be done."

Ruval calmed himself before nodding towards Yuta telling him he is ready to talk.

Letting another smile grace his face Yuta spoke, "Before any new construction can be implemented I wanted to know more about the layout of the Phoenix Landing."

Raising a eyebrow Ruval asked, "is there a reason as to why Yuta-sama?"

"Simple really, I want to know the layout to find a better place to move the people too. Here we have almost zero natural protection from invading army's from the sea or land. If a army was to come from the land behind us the people would be trapped, If they came from the sea they would have to run for ages to find any safety."

Ruval was silent for a minute while he let Yuta's words sink in, sighing slightly to himself he spoke,

"I understand what you mean, Yuta-sama. I'll be right back with a Map of Phoenix Landing." The older man said while excusing himself from the table.

Around half a hour later Ruval returned to the courtyard with a rolled up parchment map under his arm. There he saw Yuta, who was currently enjoying a cup of tea a maid had brought him.

Once Yuta noticed Ruval's arrival he waved the maid away from the courtyard and prepared himself.

After a few minutes of chatting with each other Ruval placed the open map on the table for both him and Yuta to look at it.

Here's what it looks like-

World map-

"Hmmm, Krares? Khirora? I have not heard of those places yet." Yuta immediately said upon seeing the named locations on the map.

"Well it's not surprising Yuta-sama, Khirora is the home of the giants, While Krares is just another small civilization of revived people." Ruval explained.

"Are these really the only civilizations on the continent?" Yuta asked back incredulously.

"Yes and no, those are the places that have people like us while the other unnamed ones are monster civilizations, some monster civilizations make up the waste lands along with the most southern part of the continent."

"Monsters?"

"Mhm, like goblins, Mountain wolfs all the way up to some dragons that reside in the Farnfoss Mountains."

"Dragons? Like the one that attacked Phoenix Landing?" Yuta quickly questioned.

"No. The one that attacked Phoenix Landing was Velgrynd, a True Dragon. Those dragons are weaker then her but are still very dangerous."

"So they aren't True Dragons?"

"No, to clarify more, we have only seen a few greater dragons and a lot of lesser dragons on the mountain."

"Have you tried to communicate with them?"

"They are essentially mindless monsters Yuta-sama, if you get close to one they will start to attack."

"Troublesome."

"Troublesome indeed, though many types of monsters roam the lands they seldom attack us."

"What do you mean?"

"Monsters Mainly have a strong dislike to humans, and since there aren't any humans among us they tend to leave us alone, though some attacks still happen from time to time due to the monsters stumbling upon our settlements."

"Noted, Will you show me the area that would be the best suited for the new capital."

"I can, but Yuta-sama you can't seriously think of moving right away? You still haven't started any of your training and you already want to move?" Ruval asked by with a worried tone.

"Calm yourself Ruval, I wasn't thinking of moving right now I simply was planning for the future. When the time comes and we make ourselves known to the rest of the world is the time when we will no longer have peace." Yuta answered with a small smile.

"Couldn't we simply not show ourselves?" Ruval countered.

Giving off a small chuckle Yuta responded, "I may not know how the people of this world act, But if our opponents are humans then eventually they will attack. That's just how they are, controlled by there emotions and others greed."

Ruval gave a tired sigh before he pointed towards a spot of the map. It was located between Lake Vlia and the Farnfoss Mt Range. " This spot should be good, It's located at the base of a mountain and it has Lake Vlia and it's Channel's located near it."

Nodding his head in agreement Yuta spoke, "indeed it does, we will need to send someone to scout that area out eventually."

The two had some more small talk before they parted ways with Yuta going to meet Leon for his first Magic class.

'I wonder how this Magic stuff works.' Yuta thought while he walked towards the room he was told to meet Leon in.

Once he reached the room, he saw a simple wooden door with a nameplate above it that read, Leon.

He knocked twice before he slowly opened the door, and once he fully opened it his eyes went wide.

"W-What the hell is this?"

Instead of a normal stone room like he expected he was met with the sight of a fully grown forest with a small house built within the trees.
