Decisions

Yuta had left the gated confines of the new palace and was currently walking around the town that had situated itself around the castle.
'Zalfari, what a oddly fitting name for this town.' Yuta mused to himself while he glanced at the wood and stone buildings flanking his sides.
'Still though, these roads are complete shit.' Yuta scoffed in his mind while looking at the muddy paths the people referred to as 'Roads'.
-
He had been waltzing around the town for about a hour now, but he wasn't alone, Mid way through his trip, Apollo, who had been helping out some villagers joined him.
"So, Yuta-sama, how is the town?" Apollo asked.
"It's lively to say the least, but the only complaints I have are the outdated materials the houses are made out of, and the poor quality the road is in." Yuta responded with a small hint of disappointment laced in his tone.
"Well aren't you a real stickler." Apollo responded with a hearty chuckle before he started to explain,
"Not very many people in these lands have the expertise in construction, Yuta-sama."
"Well you are in luck then." Yuta simply said as he turned and walked towards the palace.
"Eh?" Apollo muttered, confused about what Yuta meant.
—
Upon his return to the castle Yuta had called a meeting with all of the 'Guardians' or so he called them.
—
"Do you know why Yuta-sama called a meeting?" Michael asked Leon as they made their way towards the meeting hall.
"I have a idea, but we will find out once he disclosed it to us." Leon answered back.
The two turned in a hall and saw the sight of the other Guardians waiting for them by the door.
"Shall we enter?" Michael asked while gesturing at the door.
Everyone nodded their heads and they pushed open the doors to the room.
Upon the doors opening, they saw Yuta sitting at the round stone table with a few pieces of paper in front of him.
They silently went towards their own seats and sat down.
Once seeing them seated, Yuta stood up with the pieces of paper in his hands.
"I have thought about a few things, along with talking other things over with Leon, and I have come to the decision that I will take up the responsibilities that have been bestowed upon me."
When the group heard his words, they felt joy and excitement course throughout their body's like never before, but they couldn't express that joy as Yuta continued speaking.
"But I have many questions along with concerns about this world and how things work, so I was hoping that you all could answer some of these concerns for me."
They calmed themselves down and after awhile they nodded their heads in acknowledgement.
"My first Question is what types of weapons are used in these wars." Yuta asked once he made his way back towards his seat at the table.
Ruval who had been patiently waiting in his seat, spoke. "Yuta-sama, the weapons most commonly used in fights and warfare are swords, shields, bows, Magic and skills."
Yuta nodded his head while writing what he was told down on a piece of paper.
"Okay, how are wars fought here?" He asked after a few minutes of thinking.
This time it was Michael who spoke up, "What do you mean Yuta-sama?"
"I myself have never been in any sort of war, But from my world, wars have been fought in many ways, Such as Economical warfare, Aerial Warfare, Naval Warfare, etc." Yuta calmly explained.
"Hmmm….While I have been in many conflicts while on this continent, most of them have been fought the traditional way, Which is just figuring out the basics of the fight to come, along with strict planning from the higher ups. Which results in relatively short battles with high casualties." Michael explained with a somber tone.
"I see, so Unconventional and guerrilla warfare tactics aren't common. Now onto the next question, Do they use any sort of equipment in wars like vehicles, boats or planes?" Asked Yuta with a thoughtful look.
"Boats might be used to transport troops to a destination over water but other then that I can't really say, because of the new and hidden weapons that many kingdoms come up with." Responded Michael while thinking about how secretive the nations and kingdoms could be.
"...Very well, What kind of troops do we posses?"
"It's hard to say, But I would have to guess that we have around 9,000 capable swordsman along with around 10,000 mages located in Zalfari."
"Okay, who is the head or in control of these troops?"
"There is not really a 'head' of the Swordsman but I have overseen them at times so I would be Yuta-sama. As for the Mages that would be Leon's area."
"Thank you for the information, Now what do people do for food here?"
"There is a designated farm at the edge of the town that's relatively big, the people hunt and use the cattle there for meat. As for other things such as vegetables, they have other farms on the outskirts of the town."
"Very well, Now a important question, How is our economy? Do we have any trade partners, if so, then what do we trade?"
"We do not have trade partners, Yuta-sama, however we have thought about it before and came up with the idea of using Fish or Magic Ore as our trading capital." Ruval answered.
"Magic Ore?" Yuta asked while raising a eyebrow.
"Yes, Magic Ore is just mineral ore that has been around a highly concentrated amount of Magic for a long time." The chief smith explained.
"How much of this 'Magic Ore' do we posses?"
"We have mined enough to make full plate armor and equipment along with extras for every single soldier twice over."
"When you say 'mined' I assume that means there is a lot more of this Ore?"
"Indeed we have barely scratched the surface of the amount of Magic Ore and other natural resources within this land."
"Once again thank you for the information, Now that I have some basic information down I would like to take sometime before I start to implement some new ideas, so this meeting is done for now and I will call you back shortly."
