That's weird. He tilted his head slightly. He was sure that everyone that ever invaded the protective array would activated the array which result in more poisonous mist emitted to prevent outsiders from entering and insiders from slipping away.

The mist was deadly and killed someone gently that you would find yourself dead without even knowing. That's why, to enter or exit the array, they need cooperation from inside and outside. The person inside would protect and support each other and the person outside got on standby with the antidote.

Fang Daxia was ready to carry the Princess and dashed away as fast as he could from the first moment they got in. But then, looking at the Princess' rosy cheeks, she didn't seem like she was poisoned whatsoever.

What could be wrong?

Did that mean that the younger generation could somehow resist the poison?

Was he that old already?

He sighed woefully and lamented his age.

Ouyang Xueqing sneak a few glances at the daydreaming man. She pondered on what to say when her eyes caught something shining from afar. The light was glowing faintly that it was hard to differentiate it with the snow, but somehow she could feel the peculiar vibration on the air.

"Is that the transportation array?"

Fang Daxia pursed his thin lips and nodded. "…Yes, we have arrived safely."

The transportation array was small and could only carry two to three person. If not for the light that was glowing warmly, she wouldn't have known the location. When the two of them stepped inside safely, the temperature returned to normal even though she could still see the heavy snow outside. The array really served as a perfect temporary shelter.

Her hair was instantly dampened by the residual frost, even her skin was wet and sticky. But her eyes were bright and shone with excitement. "That was amazing! Thank you very much for your help, if not for you, I won't be able to cross safely!"

No, that's not it. He was there to carry The Princess and brought her to the other side. But not only could see strode safely through the poisonous mist, she could also spot the array which they had covered with invisibility spell.

Despite being confused, he nodded perfunctorily. "It's an honor, Princess." When he was sure that she was okay, he continued. "Can we go now?"

Ouyang Xueqing nodded firmly. Her heart was pounding for the reason she couldn't pinpoint. "Let's go!"

"Very well." He made some sort of sign with his fingers that she didn't understand. At that moment, the eye of the array where they stood at glimmered with white light that shot upward and enveloped their whole body.

Ouyang Xueqing squinted her eyes and the next second, the scenery around her changed.

She no longer stood on the land covered with snow. Instead, it was a lush and thick forest that was striving, the bird was chirping happily and the sky was clear blue. There was a slight distinction on the air and she took a deep breath to sooth her nerves.

There was two other person that had been waiting for them. It was a man and a woman. The man was dressed in a simple black robes with his hair pulled up neatly while the woman was donned in a glamour red dress that showed her milky white shoulder with her hair adorned with many accessories. They look around Fang Daxia's age which she concluded to be Ling Wenfu's subordinates on the human mainland.

She observed the two of them with her curious eyes and jolted when they suddenly kneeled in front of her. Flustered, she turned to Fang Daxia and found that he was kneeling too. Their hands were crossed in front of their chest in the way that she knew clearly as she received that kind of salute when she met people in Royal Palace.

Suddenly, their voice rang out simultaneously. It sounded firm and clear, full of respect and reverence.

"We welcome The Princess to Xuange Mainland!"

Ouyang Xueqing's breath got stuck on her throat as the reality suddenly dawned upon her. The corner of her lips lifted onto a smile as she grinned and curtsied elegantly to accept their salutes.

"Please take care of me," she said.

Her fingertips trembled slightly and her heart thundered on her chest to the point where she could feel the vibration on her skin. But she knew clearly how she felt at that moment. It was joy, excitement and exhilaration.

She had arrived.

She had finally arrived!

All this time, Ouyang Xueqing thought that the human mainland was named 'Human Mainland'. Turned out Xuange was its name. The sexy voluptuous woman which introduced herself as Ma Meiying explained that it was the name of the the God that had first founded the mainland.

The place where she had landed onto was in the Undead Empire, precisely at the border of Undead Empire and Shark Eye Empire, the Forest of No Return. It was said that a sacred creature lived there which devoured the humans that had intruded. The rumor was supported by groups of people who entered and wasn't seen ever again. That's why it was called Forest of No Return.

Truthfully, there was none of sacred creature there. The forest was just full of precious herbs and some were poisonous and deadly which the human didn't know about, that's why they created a rumor of sacred creature to prevent anyone from entering.

Thus, no one knew that in the middle of the forest, there was a transportation array. Moreover, it was the perfect place for hiding.

It took them three days of carriage to arrive at White Owl Country. With the accompaniment of Ma Meiying and the escort of Fang Daxia and Ma Shewei, Ouyang Xueqing enjoyed a comfortable journey. Ma Meiying was a beast that had lived in Xuange mainland since birth because both her parents was the beasts that wasn't included in the protective array.

After the Great War, many beasts was scattered throughout the world. Sheng Li had expanded an enormous effort to gather them in one place, but still there were some families who slipped away and continued their life peacefully in the mainland.

It wasn't until Ling Wenfu had his claws sanked into the Xuange Mainland did Ma Meiying knew that there were still beasts which could passed through the protective array. Despite of that, they didn't have any intention to harm humans, furthermore, they were quite satisfied with their lifestyle there.

The only difference was, they had become Ling Wenfu's subordinate, tasked to give him information on the things that were happening on the mainland. Until this day, Ling Wenfu's people had scattered throughout the mainland and Ouyang Xueqing was shocked to find out how big his power had grown into.

Ma Meiying and her brother, Ma Shewei were the first people who had sworn loyalty to Ling Wenfu which made them his direct subordinate and the people he trusted the most.

Ouyang Xueqing nodded in understanding. Her eyes couldn't help but fell on the figure of the bubbly woman with chatty voice. She was cute, with round black eyes that reminded her of black jade, her nose pointed and her lips were red with lipstick.
