Teasing Intentions (Izuku Midoriya x OC)

Raven Tanuki used to be the ultimate prankster back in her high school days where she attended UA High. She would always pull the most notorious pranks with her partner in crime, Denki Kaminari, and living up to her surname, Tanuki, which meant the Trickster. One day, after going too far with one of her pranks and ultimately ruining someone's birthday, Raven told herself that she would never pull a prank on anyone again and abandoned all that were in progress. 5 years later, her class had graduated and become part of the system. Raven had bettered herself for a good, boring life as a hero. Until, one day, one of her former classmates, Izuku Midoriya--now Pro Hero Deku--runs into her during her patrol. What happens if Deku picks up where Raven left off? What exactly were Ravens intentions back in high school?

Process - Chapter 21

"Hey, Izuku!" Raven said as she bounded into the classroom, earlier than usual today. Walking up to his desk, she sat in the seat behind him since Bakugou was sitting in his assigned seat in front of him.

He still got a little flustered everytime she called him by his first name, but he tried not to let it show since she'd been calling him that for such a long time.

Izuku smiled his dazzling smile as she sat down, turning around in his seat so he could face her. "Hey, Raven! What's up?" He asked curiously.

Raven smiled back, happy to see he was in a good mood today. She chose to ignore the way her chest felt when he directed that happiness towards her. "Well.. I was just wondering," She drew out the word, "Have you ever had a girlfriend before?" She questioned, getting right to the point.

No need, though, because his reaction was instantaneous. He sputtered, waving his arms around manically as he spoke, "W-w-what? W-why would you ask that?!"

'Out of nowhere, too,' He sweatdropped.

Raven shrugged, not letting go of the question as she urged him to answer, "So? Have you?"

Izuku blushed, trying to hide it by looking away, "N-no.." He said quietly.

She leaned in a little closer, making his cheeks heat up more, "I'm sorry, I didn't hear that. What did you say?" She said, smirking a little to make it obvious she was just teasing him.

Although, her heart did a little skip knowing he'd never had a girlfriend before. She didn't know why.

Izuku took a deep breath, "I said no!" He said, a little louder than intended.

Raven giggled, the sound making Izuku smile a little and forget his embarrassment. But only for a second.

But, in his head, he wanted to know something too. "Have you ever had a boyfriend, Raven?" He asked boldly.

She ceased her giggling, looking at him seriously, "No, my parents said I can't date until I'm sixteen. Although, My birthday is right around the corner!" She winked at him playfully, the switch in seriousness gave Izuku backlash.

Before he realized what she was implying, and then he turned beet red once again. He decided to ignore it once again and push through, since that was the only way to really talk to Raven. "Oh, really? When's your birthday?" He asked, intrigued.

"May twenty ninth. Nothing special," She answered, and Izuku made a mental note to get her something for it. "When's your birthday, Izuku?" She threw the question back at him.

He smiled when she asked, "July fifteenth!"

"Ahh, so you're a Cancer! I can work with that," She put her hand to her chin and made a face, which caused Izuku to laugh.

"What's a Cancer?" He asked when he calmed down.

Raven's jaw dropped, "You've never heard of astrology signs?!" She asked incredulously, planting her hands down on the desk. Izuku shook his head, "That's crazy! They're like, in the stars or whatever! Whatever day you were born determines what sign you are, like, I'm a Gemini! And whatever sign you are, determines what kind of personality you'll have! It's pretty cool!!" She exclaimed, getting caught up in explaining it.

Izuku was eating every bit of it up, "Yeah!" He said, nodding, "That is pretty awesome! I better check it out sometime!"

"Mhmm! And since you're a Cancer, that means you're really emotional and you put your all into the things you care about most, which is pretty fitting, you could say." Raven went more in depth.

Izuku thought about it for a second. Yeah.. You could say he's pretty emotional. He cringed. "But what about you? You said you're a Gemini, what does that entail?" He asked, getting more invested in the topic.

"Just shut the hell up, would ya?!" Bakugou interrupted, "Class is about to start! I don't need to hear your nerdy shit before we even start!" He yelled, causing Izuku to flinch.

Raven didn't like that Bakugou bullies him, but it wasn't like there was anything she could do about it. It seemed like it was an issue they needed to sort out on their own.

So, with that being said, Raven waved goodbye to Izuku, and went to her assigned seat.

Class started.

--Present Time--

Raven stood at the front door of Izuku's home. She wasn't even sure if he was here, but she had to try.

She needed to make things right.

How did Raven get Izuku's address?

Well, it's kind of obvious.

Kirishima.

Raven sighed, raising a hand to knock on his door. Hesitating, she brought her hand back down from the door.

Why is she so nervous all of a sudden? She couldn't understand, but she knew that it was gonna be a real awkward encounter. She still had to do it though.

For the second time, she brought her hand back up to knock on the door. This time, she went through with it.

Suddenly, right as she was knocking, the door flung open, only to see Izuku in casual clothes. He looked like he was about to go on a walk or something.

They both froze, both staring directly into the others eyes. The silence was deafening.

The one who broke the ice was Raven, "..Hi, Izuku," She said, scratching the back of her neck.

He looked at her questioningly, wondering why she was so awkward. He means, it's not awkward unless you make it awkward, and that's exactly what she was doing.

He glanced to the side to see if anyone was with her, wondering how she knew where he lived, "Hey.. Raven. How'd you know where I live?" He asked, getting flashbacks from when he showed up at her house out of nowhere. The parallel was immaculate.

"...That's not important," She evaded the question, looking to the side in discomfort. "Anyway, can I come in? I kind of need to talk to you.." She trailed off.

Izuku just kind of stared at her for a couple seconds, before moving aside to let her in.
