Teaming Up with System 225 (BL)

With the creation of different dimensions and universes, came forth intelligent beings. To regulate these dimensions and universes, higher beings took control of containers called UniOrbs. These containers not only regulated the Gods and the souls of those worlds but also dictated the processes of reincarnation. The UniOrb could not do this on their own, so they contracted souls to become "Systems" that made sure souls were able to reincarnate, but not all souls were fortunate enough to do so. "Systems" then teamed up with souls called "Hosts" to make sure unfortunate souls got their wishes fulfilled, their souls healed properly, and ready for reincarnation. To make sure the Systems and Hosts had a proper base of operations, the UniOrb created a separate space called the Command Center. This Command Center was at the entrance of the reincarnation sea, where souls would go to their next destination. The person in charge was called, "God System." One System was not satisfied with their status quo. They created something known as the "Villain System." This Villain System was designed to suck the life and energy from different worlds, using it to spread a virus that would slowly take over the UniOrb. Their goal: Take over the UniOrb to become the new higher being that controlled it. When all hope seemed to be lost for those in the UniOrb and its Command Center, one System, System 225, gained control from the Villain System, rescued his "Host," and together go from world to world, gaining enough energy to combat the System that created the Villain System. Oh, and also rescuing God System along the way. Book cover credit: Alice - https://vgen.co/this_is_ALiCE_draws

Hero Helping... Again? (1)

Edited by: Kuro and Lille

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grey went through the familiar feeling of his soul getting pushed to another world or universe, but this time, the pressure on his soul was really heavy. Usually, there was some weight on his soul because he was a foreign soul going to another plane of existence, but this time, it felt like someone was trying to smush him flat.
Still, he did his best to resist it because he knew this was just the beginning.
When he was finally able to open his eyes, he was immediately hit with the smell of urine, feces, and rotting flesh. In the dark and musty room, there were 11 children in the room with him.
Everyone was lying on an ugly brown mat. Who knows how long they've been living in this room because all the kids were dirty.
When he realized the situation, he saw that he also looked like those kids, dirty and emaciated. Even though he wanted to throw up, he took a deep breath and tried to contact System 225 in his head out of habit.
'System? System 225? Are you there?'
It was silent. All he was able to receive was the short memories of this body. He called out for Arisa and System 505 too, but he realized it was futile.
The maximum amount of time that someone had been cut off from the Systems in an S-ranked world was 6 months. He just had to wait until then… If he could survive.
According to System 225, surviving without the System was one of the hardest parts of being in an S-ranked world. He could die at any moment if he wasn't careful.
Luckily, he was connected to his System space at all times. He still hoarded a lot of food and medicines there. He also had his and God System's mecha that they used in two universes. He doubted he would use them again in this world, but the comfort of having them in his System space was all he needed.
He laid back down like the other children and closed his eyes. He had to go through the memories of the child he was in…
This child was only 10 years old. He was kidnapped at the age of 6 and has been living in this horrible basement ever since. He was sold to a disgusting nobleman who experimented on children. The experiments consisted of him seeing the effects of poisons that he had created.
There were once 30 children in this room, now there were only 12 including Grey. The other children died after leaving this room. When a child left this room they were sent to the torture room… In that room… Well, it was quite graphic to the point that Grey had to gloss over what happened in there.
Still, there were scars all over their bodies to show the pain and suffering each child went through.
The body of the child he transferred into was named Ren Hansferd. He was a noble's son from the Tresna kingdom. The Hansferd family was in charge of half of Tresna's military. They commanded the Tresna kingdom's Army. They were considered the swords of the King, and the ones who protected the kingdom's borders.
Ren was the little princess of the Hansferd family. His mother, after giving birth 2 times, hoped that her third child would be a girl, but Ren popped out. Even so, she doted on him the most because he looked similar to her.
He also had the family birthmark on his hip to prove his bloodline. Each Ducal family in the Tresna Kingdom had a birthmark on all their children, legitimate and illegitimate. It was the same for the Royal Family.
When all cleaned up, Ren had long, beautiful navy blue hair and crystal blue eyes. He almost looked like a water fairy.
Well, currently, Ren looked like a dirty sewer rat…
Other than those brief memories of his family and living in this basement, he also knew very basic magic. They only taught him how to produce water, small flames, and a bit of healing magic.
It was with that little magic that Ren was able to survive. He did his best to help the other children, but he could only heal wounds, he couldn't cure poisons or diseases. Many children perished one after the other until there was only him and 11 others left.
In this world, fairies borrowed magic that people could not see. However, Elves were able to see them because they were much closer to nature than humans, beastmen, and dwarves.
Essentially, you had to ask the fairies to convert your attributeless mana into whichever element you wanted. Compatibility depended on whether fairies liked your mana or not.
As for Ren, he was compatible with fire, water, and light fairies. As for Grey, he didn't know if his mana would change because he was now in Ren's body.
He also realized that he could see these fairies… There wasn't a lot in the basement, just the ones that somehow followed him in there, barely keeping him and the other kids alive.
Ren couldn't see them before, so this was probably unique to him, Grey. Regardless, he couldn't find out why. He just needed to figure out how to survive until System 225 came back…
*****
After going through his very limited information, Grey sat up and looked around the room to take in his unhygienic surroundings.
There was a bucket in one corner of the room. It looked like a place for people to poop and pee so everyone tried to stay away from it. It looked disgusting even from far away so Grey decided to stay away from it unless he needed to use the toilet.
As for the rest of the room, there was nothing but dirty mats for the kids to lay on and the children. There wasn't even a window for ventilation.
The air was heavy, musty, and moist, but with time, Grey got used to it.
Next to him, was a young boy who went by the name of Vincent. He was a year younger than him. Vincent had light brown hair or… it could have been so dirty it seemed brown. Regardless, Grey wasn't sure what his hair color was.
Vincent was lying motionless on the ground. He was breathing, but he was in so much pain that any movement hurt, so he didn't move. He had just got back from the sick nobleman's experiments, so he wasn't feeling well.
Grey couldn't do much to help him. He could only use a bit of healing magic and give him water. The rest was up to fate.
When Grey touched Vincent's arm, he felt a familiar tingle. It wasn't God System, but his best friend, his guardian angel who did his best to jump from world to world with him.
In a place where he didn't know anyone, it was a relief for him to meet someone he knew so quickly.
"We can't die yet… so you have to get better Vincent…" Grey whispered so only Vincent could hear him. "We will get out of here soon…"
Grey had a feeling that he wouldn't be in this basement for too long, but it was just a feeling. He still didn't know how long it would take for him to either escape or get rescued. Only time knew.
After healing Vincent to the best of his abilities, Grey laid down and closed his eyes. His body was too young, so he didn't have a lot of mana. He used up most of it quickly. Resting would replenish his mana though, which was good.
Since this was a S-ranked world, he was a little scared, but he could only keep pushing forward… He hoped that System 225 would come back soon.
