It turned out the Grand Duke of Huivell had not arrived yet and that gave Beverly time to think. She was waiting for the guests to arrive in the living room while eating cake.

Everyone looked busy as they were about to greet an important guest. Regardless, Beverly was busy with her thoughts. She was concerned about what to do after greeting the guests.

The proposal surprised the Goldcorna family who had been in business with Refugio. They never imagined could get along with a grand duke.

According to rumors, Refugio gave his son the last name Huivell because he loved Aceros so much. Huivell was the Grand Duke's major region.

Huivell behind Aceros' name confirmed he would rule over Huivell. People referred him to as the Hereditary Grand Duke of Huivell, which showed he was the next heir of Refugio.

Now Beverly hoped the Grand Duke would believe and not make a fuss about her crying. She almost fainted from being shocked by Refugio's appearance.

Fortunately, the girl could take action before a problem took place. Still, she was worried when waiting for the answer from the Grand Duke.

"I will forgive you because you are still young, but please don't act like that next time. Other people shouldn't know how nervous you are right now," told Refugio, soon moving to sit on the chair.

A boy followed the Grand Duke and sat next to him. It was clear that the boy was Aceros Huivell, the villain in the novel.

Beverly stole a glance at Aceros while sitting with her parents. If she did not mistake, Aceros was also 13 years old when they got engaged.

In other words, they were the same age, and that made Beverly relieved. At least she could approach Aceros by pretending to invite him to play.

Beverly, who was a little scared of the man, instantly nodded. "I've heard the information from my parents."

"Then did you accept the engagement with my son?"

Beverly glanced at Aceros instead of answering the question. She was fascinated by the boy's eyes, which were purple and shone like precious gems.

Even Aceros' black hair looked impressive from Beverly's perspective. She was concerned that she would fall in love if lived with the handsome Aceros.

"I accept the engagement, Your Highness," Beverly resolved after admiring the boy in front of her.

A look of relief and happiness crossed Refugio's face as he said, "Then the engagement between Aceros and Beverly has been determined. We will reach the Goldcorna family as soon as possible."

"Sure, contact us anytime," agreed Clifford, who looked more relaxed than a while ago.

"Thank you, Marquess. I sincerely apologize because I received an urgent order from His Majesty the King. He informed me there was trouble in Rhiost territory and I have to leave."

Now Beverly understood why Refugio seemed to have a boil on his butt. It turned out the man sat uncomfortably because distressing about the king's orders.

Beverly secretly smiled after hearing the information. She was relieved that she did not have to talk with the scary Refugio.

The Grand Duke would leave with his son after saying goodbye to both Liosa and Clifford. It should be that way.

However, after standing up, Refugio instead begged, "I'm uncomfortable to ask your help, Marquess. But Aceros can't go with me to Rhiost. The territory was under attack by high-level monsters. Can my son stay here for a few days, if you don't mind?"
