SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED

Jack's phone rang while he was busy at work. It was Timothy, his father's right-hand man. It is not often that Timothy ever calls Jack. Jack answered the phone and could immediately tell that something was wrong from Timothy's voice.

"Jack, your father is in the hospital Jack, Timothy said gravely making Jack tense the more.

His hand shook but he balanced it on his table, 'In the hospital! Why?" Jack was nervous knowing something bad as happened to his father.

"Your dad is in a coma," he was shot in the head on our way back from a business deal with The Rufeso Brothers, it was a crossfire between us and them, they targeted us at our weakest when we were not expecting, many of our men died, I was lucky to come out alive while some were injured. Timothy inhaled and said. "Don't let me bore you with the gruesome details, I just wanted to call and let you know about his condition."

Jack was shocked. He couldn't believe his ears, he knew his father as a very strong man with an imposing aura that made people shiver just at the sound of his name, he couldn't believe he was in the hospital.

He thanked Timothy for calling and hung up the phone. He sat at his desk, feeling a mix of emotions. He was worried about his father and his family, but he also had a deal that he was working on, and he couldn't just leave it.

After some consideration, Jack decided to call his mother and find out more about his father's condition. When he asked her what was happening, she tried to dodge the question. Mom, I know already, no need to hide it from me. Timothy called me.

Fucking Timothy, even when I told him not to tell you, yet he went ahead. His mother cursed on the phone.

Jack smiled as he heard his mother curse, which meant she was taking everything in good stride. His mother, a mix between a Black American mom and a Mexican dad, has tanned skin with long refined legs that complement her small quail-like face, her tone physique clearly showed her regular visits to the gym. Jack got his good looks from his mom but got the blue eye color from his dad.

So Jack, when are you going to bring your girlfriend over? His heart dropped to his belly.

He felt awkward, Mom, which girlfriend are you talking about?

His mother laughed, Son, don't pretend. I saw the news, and although she was in a soiled red dress, she looked fabulous. She is pretty and responsible not like those girls you normally go out with, I just wish I could see her and tell her thank you for changing my son.

He pinched his nose bridge if only you knew Mother, he muttered under his breath.

Jack, his mother called his name in a no-nonsense voice, Do me a favor, introduce me to Lily.
