Chapter 15 Hellish Training

"Keep at it, your form is off bend your right knee a bit more!" Yun Zhu commanded as Yang Yu punched a stone hill in front of himself. His fists were bleeding as he did so, and he felt the pain throughout his body, but he continued none the less.

This was the day after Yang Yu first ate the ice ginseng, and he was still training his body. Earlier Yang Yu had been confused as to why he'd train without consuming the ice ginseng, but Yun Zhu simply explained, that the majority of the ice qi was still in his body, just hidden within it, and through constant training he could truly combine it with himself.

'1 Ice Ginseng can be used for 3 days of training, in which case I only have enough for a month.' Yang Yu thought as he followed Yun Zhu's words.

After punching the hill for another hour, Yun Zhu stopped Yang Yu. "Now carry this stone and run to the lake." Yun Zhu said as he pointed to a nearby stone. It was massive, but it wouldn't be too much of a problem for Yang Yu to carry.

Hearing Yun Zhu, Yang Yu grabbed the stone and began to run towards the lake. 'Well he knows best.' Yang Yu thought as he ran towards the lake with the stone on his back.

One had to realise, that although Yang Yu was still technically a mortal, he still had 10x the strength of an average human, this was because when he consumed the Pure Mortal Physique pill, he also went through Body Cleansing meaning that he had technically already skipped the stage, and his strength had been enhanced.

After arriving at the lake Yang Yu looked towards Yun Zhu. "Now jump into the lake with the stone on top of you and dive into its depths." He said as Yang Yu looks at him with a slightly embarrassed expression.

"I, can't swim." Yang Yu replied as Yun Zhu looked at him dumb struck. 'I hadn't accounted for this.' Yun Zhu thought as he looked at Yang Yu. "Ehh, just jump in anyway, the lake isn't that deep anyway." Yun Zhu said, as Yang Yu hesitated before nodding.

Yun Zhu wasn't actually wrong, at the edges the lake was quite shallow but the further in you got the deeper it was, its maximum depth though was only about 5 meters.

As Yang Yu's head was about to sink into the lake he looked at Yun Zhu. "So what exactly am I doing this for?" Yang Yu asked. "To train your body." Yun Zhu replied. "The pressure of the water will impact your entire body, allowing you to train your Flesh, Muscles, Bones, and Viscera all at once." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu just nodded.

'Well I don't know why we're skipping cultivation stages now, but if it works, it works.' Yang Yu thought as he walked further into the lake. Normally a human would just begin to float up, but due to the stone Yang Yu sunk, and sunk, eventually reaching the centre of the lake, 5 meters deep.

At first, it wasn't much, but soon with the weight of the water, along with that of the rock, compounding with Yang Yu's lack of oxygen, his body began to feel the pressure.

Bit by bit, his body began to shake, till he ran back for the shore with all his might. "Hah, hoo, hah, hoo!" He breathed heavily as he placed the stone down and tried to catch his breath.

"In 2 minutes you're going in again." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu raised his eyebrows, he wasn't too surprised though anymore, Yun Zhu was already very strict from before. After 2 minutes Yang Yu ran back in, and the cycle continued.

As he did this Yun Zhu watched on. 'We're making good progress, I didn't think he could handle it, but he can. This way, we can do a less intense, intense body rebirth.' Yun Zhu thought as Yang Yu ran out of the water yet again.

Eventually time passed, and Yang Yu's training finished. "Good thing I was only wearing my old robes." Yang Yu said as he sat at the side of the lake drenched. "Of course, you think I, the Million Mile Scholar Yun Zhu, wouldn't account for such a variable?" Yun Zhu said matter-of-factly as Yang Yu chuckled.

"So how long till I finish Body Refinement?" Yang Yu asked, as Yun Zhu pondered. "At the current rate 3 months." Yun Zhu said, as Yang Yu's eyebrow raised. "Fairly fast, even with my methods but its good. After that I'll teach you some techniques, and hopefully you can then take on a few missions." Yun Zhu said.

"Why would I have to do missions?" Yang Yu asked. "Well if you keep selling techniques, people will begin to get suspicious won't they?" Yun Zhu said. "Hmm, true, and I would like to explore a bit." Yang Yu said as his eyes glinted.

"And, what sort of techniques do you have in mind?" Yang Yu asked excitedly. "Well that's for me to know, and for you to find out." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu rolled his eyes.

"I better be getting back now, right?" Yang Yu said as he began to walk back to his home. "Yes, your break is soon over, so you wouldn't want to miss lunch." Yun Zhu said causing Yang Yu to hurry up his pace.

After consuming his food Yang Yu began to cultivate the Tyrant Meridian Technique, and his body looked like it was about to implode yet again. Soon his body calmed down though as he formed yet another meridian.

"That makes 4." Yang Yu said as he had an accomplished expression on his face. "Hah, if you think that's great, back in the day I taught this technique to a boy, within a week he formed 22 meridians." Yun Zhu said.

"What happened to him?" Yang Yu asked curiously. "He's dead." Yun Zhu replied with a sombre expression on his face. "Well, don't worry, with you by my side, who do I have to fear?" Yang Yu said jokingly.

Hearing this Yun Zhu's mood lightened and they began to chat, and thus the day ended.
