Chapter 16 Yin Pond

Days Later

"Are you ready?" Yun Zhu asked, as Yang Yu grabbed his things. "Ya I got the token and everything." Yang Yu said as he walked out of his house. "Xiao Lei, we're going to be taking off today." Yang Yu said as he directed the bird out of the stable.

Although still weak, he was much stronger than he was a bit over a week ago. At this point Yang Yu had trained relentless forming 9 meridians already, and tripling his prior strength.

Yang Yu and Yun Zhu were both impressed, and ecstatic at this speed, but also at a loss for words. 'At this rate his Body Refinement training is going to slow down dramatically.' Yun Zhu thought as Yang Yu hopped on Xiao Lei.

Today they were going to the Yin Pond so as to boost Yang Yu's training a bit. They didn't know what effects the pond would bring, although Yun Zhu could estimate he wasn't exactly sure, so the Yin Pond never really included within his plans.

'Who knows, it might be able to save us a weeks worth of effort?' Yun Zhu thought as Xiao Lei cut through the air. Yang Yu continually directed the bird as they flew through the Sky Spirit Sect.

Eventually they landed at the foot of a nearby mountain. At the foot there were 2 disciples, guarding it, and 5 servants taking care of the mounts. Yang Yu jumped off Xiao Lei as a servant came to help him. "Is this your mount?" The servant asked. "Yes." Yang Yu replied.

"Xiao Lei, go with them." Yang Yu said as Xiao Lei nodded before following the servant into the stables. After that Yang Yu walked forward, in front of him the 2 disciples stood as they gazed at him with a tired gaze.

"Please show your identification." The guard said as Yang Yu handed one of them the token. "You may pass." One of them said as they kept Yang Yu's token before storing it in a bag behind them.

All of the tokens were collected at the foot of the mountain, and eventually given back to the disciples later. Due to this, the guard disciples could technically pocket entry passes, but the tokens were carefully monitored so such an offence rarely passed if at all.

As Yang Yu climbed the mountain eventually a boy of about his age fell into his sights. "Oh, Yang Yu, how have you been?" The golden eyed boy asked as he turned back to look at him.

Jiang Long was still an Outer Disciple at this point, and could only enter the pond every 3 months. "I am fine, you?" Yang Yu replied concisely as he continued walking up the mountain, eventually catching up to Jiang Long.

"I've been fine as well, my Master taught me a sword technique, and it suits me extremely well. I see your strength has increased as well." Jiang Long said as he gazed deeply at Yang Yu.

"Yes I've been training. I assume you're going to the Yang pond?" Yang Yu said as Jiang Long nodded. "Master said 1 hour in there, is the equivalent of 7 days practice to a regular person utilising Yang and fire based techniques. For me it should equal to about a month." Jiang Long said honestly after thinking about it for a moment.

"By the way, I was thinking of going on a mission in a couple of months, would you like to tag along?" Jiang Long added as they reached a divide in the road.

"I'll pass but thanks for the offer." Yang Yu said as he headed towards the Yin Pond path. "Well, I'll see you some other time then, fate permit." Jiang Long said as he waved towards Yang Yu.

"Bye." Yang Yu said as he walked away. Jiang Long, expression immediately darkened as he gazed at the Yang Pond path. 'One month worth of time, one month less I have to wait.' Jiang Long thought as he trudged down the path towards the Yang Pond, only time will tell what he was thinking about.

As Yang Yu walked along the path, he eventually reached a narrow entry way, trees lined the sides of the passage way, and soon Yang Yu arrived in front of a pond. The liquid inside the pond was silver and glowed mysteriously.

Inside the pond, 2 disciples were already meditating, trying their hardest to make advancements. To the side, 4 Inner Disciples stood as they nodded towards Yang Yu. "You have 1 hour, try your best." One of them said as they lit a stick of incense.

Seeing this Yang Yu walked forward and carefully dipped his hand into the pond. Immediately he felt a bone chilling sensation as his hand sunk deeper into the pond. This sensation although cold, felt relaxing simultaneously, it had a strangely comforting feeling about it.

'Guess I'll just hop in.' Yang Yu thought as he entered the pond. Once inside he took a lotus position and began to meditate. 'So how can I cultivate the Tyrant Meridian Technique with all these people?' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu appeared.

"Just chant it in your mind." He said as he gazed at the pond. "Quite the substance they have here, even some upper level sects wouldn't have areas of such quality." Yun Zhu said as he studied it.

Yang Yu quickly ignored Yun Zhu though as he began to chant the technique in his mind. Eventually a massive amount of energy began to drill into his body, along with it, a decently large amount of yin qi followed.

'With this it will solidify the foundation even more, and his body will increase in strength multiple times.' Yun Zhu thought as Yang Yu began to form a meridian. Before their arrival Yun Zhu had already explained to Yang Yu how to for the next set of meridians.

It was very basic actually, they were just twice the size, this would also make them twice as hard to form though, but with the help of the yin pond, within 15 minutes, a meridian was formed, and then the following 20 minutes another, and then in the following 25 minutes another formed.

Within the entire hour Yang Yu had managed to form 3 whole meridians, not only that, due to the yin qi drilling into his body his strength increased immensely.

Without even realising it, his time was up, and soon Yang Yu felt a tap on his shoulder. "Times up." The disciple said as Yang Yu drifted out of meditation. "Thank you senior." He said as he got out of the pond.

Oddly enough none of the liquid stuck to him, and it just remained in the pond as he left. 'Weird, but my gains from this trip, were immense.' Yang Yu thought as he walked down the path down to the foot of the mountain.

'You said it would take me 2 weeks, to finish the next set of 9 right?' Yang Yu thought as Yun Zhu appeared. Even he was grinning from ear to ear. "Yes, but at this rate you should only need about 9 days." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu grinned.

"Not only that, but your body seems to have doubled in strength." Yun Zhu said as he gazed at Yang Yu. 'Ya, it has I think.' Yang Yu thought as he reached the foot of the mountain.

After that he hopped on Xiao Lei and flew home.
