The once somber air of Aogashima village shimmered with an otherworldly aura as a figure descended. She moved with the grace of a spirit, untouched by the carnage around her, her form radiating an ethereal beauty that seemed to command everything around her.
It was Roxana, but not as she had been known. She reverted to her original appearance of a kitsune, with amber eyes that held the depths of the unknown and ears that twitched to the silent songs of the earth. Her tails, lush and magnificent, fanned out behind her, catching the dying light of day and setting it ablaze with life.
Muzan, amidst his grief, felt a pull in his heart, an impossible tug towards the figure that was walking towards him. Lifting his eyes, he met her gaze, and a profound trance enveloped him.
[Charm] - a new magical skill Roxana had developed took effect instantly. This skill was meant to work on anyone who was in the same hierarchy as her or lower. Under the charm effect, the target could be completely controlled by her and was ready to respond to her every command.
Although she had to upgrade this skill with each evolution, it was a useful skill to possess and worked well with her illusion skills and beauty.
As Roxana neared, the form in Muzan's arms dissolved into the cool night, the mist carrying it away on a whimsical breeze, as if it had never been anything more than a wisp of a fleeting dream.
It was the work of [Complex Visual Illusions], a new Intermediate Illusion Magic that Roxana was mastering.
With this new skill, Roxana was now able to create illusions that were detailed and dynamic, which enabled her to create scenes or environments that were indistinguishable from reality. These could include animated characters, complex structures, or ever-changing landscapes.
"Ahh, you performed beyond my expectations," Roxana whispered, a tinge of dark amusement in her voice. "I had hoped to garner a mere 3000 souls with my gambit. But you, my unwitting pawn, have outdone yourself, procuring for me a bounty of 4879 souls."
Her satisfaction was palpable, a chilling undercurrent to the words she spoke to the entranced Muzan.
Shortly after Roxana's soul collection count from this world exceeded a thousand, she had started feeling a strong pull, akin to the one that had initially plucked her from the abyss's embrace. This force, unseen but relentless, seemed intent on drawing her back to that shadowy realm.
Yet, the contract served as an anchor, its mystical strength binding her presence to this world among the living. Nevertheless, as her collection of souls swelled, the force that sought to draw her back to the abyss increased significantly.
"Now that the basic requirement of the contract is fulfilled, it's time to dissolve this masquerade and return to the abyss."
"But before I proceed, there's a little something you owe me, sweetie…" Roxana's voice took on a syrupy tone, dripping with faux affection as the contract shimmered into existence before them, its ominous terms scripted in what seemed like destiny's own ink.
"Now, don't forget our little arrangement, my dear. The debt for the extended lease on your life comes in two parts. "Firstly," she said, her eyes twinkling with a mix of mischief and authority, "you must give me half of your soul," her words wrapped around Muzan like velvet chains, inevitable and binding.
"Secondly, for every life you take, whether directly or indirectly, you may claim their blood, but their souls? Those belong to me. Gather these owed souls and present them to me yearly, without exception."
No sooner had Roxana's words dissipated into the air than an unseen power surged from the contract, seamlessly drawing half of Muzan's soul and storing it in Roxana's system inventory.
However, the contract stumbled when it came to fulfilling Roxana's second demand. She realized that she wasn't getting the link to Muzan's soul, which would ensure her a steady flow of souls every year.
"Looks like the contract can handle souls right away but can't keep track of future soul payments, interesting.." Roxana mused.
Without missing a beat, Roxana tapped into her system to whip up a tag. This tag was designed to attach to Muzan's soul, acting like a bank for the souls he would collect. No sooner had she created it than the tag left her hand and magically fixed itself to Muzan, setting up a direct line for those annual soul deliveries.
"Hmm, my first adventure into this world wasn't so terrible, after all," Roxana reflected with a playful twirl of her hair, curiosity sparkling in her eyes as she decided to check her status.

Number of Souls in Possession: (4645 low-quality souls), (5 medium-quality souls), (1/2-fallen soul)
As Roxana sifted through her collection of souls, she sorted them with the precision of a seasoned collector evaluating her prized finds.
There were 4645 low-quality souls, mostly from humans and some lesser demons. The scared human souls had a tiny sparkle to them, making them just a tad more interesting than the rest. "Even in fear, there's a little light," she mused, almost as if she were discussing a quirky fashion trend rather than the nuances of spiritual essence.
Next up were the 5 medium-quality souls, which were quite the catch. These souls came from people who were practically bursting with malice or lust when they met their end and died in regret. "Drama queens till their last breath," Roxana thought, with an amused twinkle in her eye, appreciating the intense passion these souls carried, like a critic who was admiring a bold piece of art.
The most intriguing of her collection was the 1/2-fallen soul. This one was steeped in darkness, having given up all hope and embraced the shadows. "Now, that's commitment to a theme, my dear Muzan you did well" Roxana mused, half-admiringly. To her, this soul was like an exclusive, rare find in a boutique.
While Roxana browsed through her system for any other changes, the world's repelling force intensified, pressing upon her with an unbearable weight. She found herself once again wrapped in a mysterious calm, the surrounding darkness absolute, a blanket of void that seemed to engulf everything. Closing her eyes, she was swept into a feeling of vast emptiness, a sensation as if floating in an endless expanse.
After opening her eyes, Roxana discovered that she had travelled back to the abyss, but to a region that she was completely unfamiliar with.
