After the awkward conversation at dinner, Dan accepted the offer of seminars in Vegas despite Milo's history with gambling. He tried to assure us that he wouldn't talk about his time in Vegas due to Milos's temptations, but Milo and I still had our doubts.

A few days later, we said our goodbyes to Dan at the airport and watched him disappear into the crowd of travelers. Milo seemed a little down, and I could tell he was still uneasy about Dan going to Vegas.

"Hey," I said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Let's not worry about Dan. We're going to have an amazing time in Japan."

Milo gave me a small smile and nodded. "Yeah, you're right. Let's go make some memories."

Milo and I arrived in Tokyo, and the city's vibrant energy immediately struck us. The neon lights, the crowds, and the endless rows of vending machines were all so different from the quiet island we had left behind.
