Great braziers encircling each of the fourteen obsidian columns light up most of the throne hall and bathe the hall in a dancing glow of orange.
The relatively modest chandeliers hanging from the layered ceiling dance in the flickering light while statuettes look down upon the granite floor of this monumental hall.
A jade rug runs down from the throne for a few meters before coming to an end while swallowtail banners with embellished tufts drape from the walls.
Between each banner stands a large candlestick, a few of them have been lit and in turn illuminate the wall paintings of leaders and legends below them.
Extensive windows are covered by curtains colored the same jade as the banners. The curtains have been adorned with fancy tassels and gold leaves.
A towering throne of silver sits atop an elevated platform and is adjoined by five equally lavish seats for visiting dignitaries.
