Chapter 13: Having fun at rucker park and First friend!

It's been almost 2 weeks since we departed from the Maldives after visiting Duke University we hit the road toward Connecticut toward Yale University of course I spent as little time as possible with my Uncle and Lena and from what I can see she really is doing well, of course, my Uncle is the one that is becoming more and more nervous around with how Lena was acting if he didn't know what was going on now I would have doubted his intelligence during our 2 weeks he looked at me with a pleading gaze countless time, of course, I happily ignored them all I could see in Lena's eyes that her patience was wearing thin if my Uncle doesn't make a move soon Lena would and with it, Uncle will lose the little bit of power he could have had in this relationship I often picture him with a leash around the neck following Lena like a good little chihuahua every time I got this image in my head I would laugh out loud Nigel caught me laughing alone one time and asked me what was so funny of course like a the good nephew that i was to my Uncle I had to share my thought with his private driver now everytime Nigle will look at my Uncle I am pretty sure this image will also pop in his head (giggles)

But from what happened yesterday I do not think that Lena will have to wait any longer in a rare instance were my Uncle and I got a little time alone, I could see he wanted to ask me something honestly I had never seen him this nervous hell I could see what he wanted to asked me from a mile away, yes he was this obvious but for some reason, he just couldn't get it out in a coherent manner all he was saying was gibberish so I finally lost it I look straight at him and said 

- Just fucking do it you sissy, stop worrying about what others would think or what not just think about you and her, that's all

With that said I just stood from where we were and took my leave 10 minutes later I saw him and Nigel going out I bet he got out to buy something for Lena so I was not worried anymore 

So first thing in the morning I asked Nigel if my Uncle would need him today apparently no so I told him that we were going to explore the city all day, see how I am a good person I hoped that tonight when I came back my Uncle would have grown his balls back and take the next step!

Stepping out of the hotel lobby I could see Nigel waiting for me beside our car even when we took the road from North Carolina to Connecticut the comfort was out of this world I fell in love with the comfort this car provided of course it would never beat my Agera RS and my Plymouth but still it was a nice car, Nigleopended me the door I nodded at him thankful for his professionalism at the beginning I was a little weirded out by this but you soon get used to it I can tell you this

After sitting in the car Nigel asked where I wanted to go of course since I was in New York and me being a basketball fan of course the first thing that came to my mind was the iconic Rucker Park,1 hour and a bunch of traffic jam later we finally parked the car close to the park I could see some basketballs court and some games were already being played We bought a ball at the Adidas store on 5th Ave but with all the people here I doubt I will be able to hoop unless I play with others which didn't bother me one bit having made my mind I heard a chiming sound in my head oh it's been a while I thought

Great that would give me a good boost I thought, I took the sports bag that I had brought with me from the seats beside me and began to undress so that I could change into my sports attire, of course, I also brought some basketball shoes with me one of my favorite pair in fact, Wade 808 3 Ultra V2 "Tour" white colored I like them because they go high on the ankle and they were really comfortable plus I would lie if I say they didn't look great visually(giggles I may be a little bit of a diva concerning my clothing style I like to look great in all circumstance if you saw my dressing room you would understand from what I could see if you wanted to play you just had to put yourself on the sideline and if there was a spot someone would then pick people from the sideline, of course, tall and athletic people would get pick more often but there was a chance for everyone to play seem like there's a secret rules that all hooper here was to be giving a chance to play at least once, and it just showed that everyone here just love basketball and it doesn't matter what you look like or who you are once out of here, here you are just a guy or a girl who love to play basketball!

I like this kind of atmosphere here people were playing seriously but there was a lot of respect so things didn't get outta hand of course altercations were present but there seemed to be a consensus that every conflict was meant to be sorted out on the court I took the surrounding into my view there was fan looking at the games ongoing from the bleachers with the reputation Rucker Park had it was no surprise that some dedicated fan would be coming to watch my gaze stopped at one particular girl that was looking the games she was very beautiful she had dark brown eyes and hair was standing at maybe 1.65m but that's not what made me stopped to look at her it was that sense of familiarity like I saw her somewhere before, 'strange' I thought to myself before putting it in the back of my head because I could see 2 guys coming toward the sideline seems like they would pick some people to fill for the people that left I couldn't help getting nervous and excited at the same time, Nigel looked at me with amusement I was too focus on the guys that were coming to notice but even if I did I would have mind 

After arriving in front of us they began looking at the little crowd that had formed since they began walking toward the sidelines with my tall build and muscular body I stood out even in that crowd plus the fact that I am good looking with both eyes being different color sure helped me in this case since the first to be pick was me, with a big smile on my face I took a step on the court and placed myself in front of the guy who picked me and stretches my hand toward him and said

-Thank you for picking me up my name is Ace I'm glad I will be able to play here with all of you before I leave.

-Hahaha no problem you really stood out even with all those people here Ace by the way my name is Derrick he said while he took my hand in a firm handshake he then continued -So it's your first time here in New York? he asked

-No in fact I was born here but my family lives in the Maldives I came back because I'm going to Columbia in September so I came to check out the campus 

-That's dope men so you get to live in the tropics all year long and you decided to come here to get your ass freezing for studying you got balls, dude

-Hahaha well what can I say New York as its a charm like this park, interesting people we can meet just like you, you know what i feel that we can become good friends what do you think? I said with a grin

-Well see about that after the game he responds with a grin of his own

We looked at each other then both started laughing while making our way toward the left side of the court, since I was the tallest on the team they put me at the center position not that I minded I could play everywhere and still enjoy the game of course since I had a mission I would let loose a little bit and play with everything I've got 

one of the fans took the ball and advanced toward the middle of the court seems like there was no referee like I thought there would but that didn't matter to me with how much I've seen so far I could see that people here respect the sports cheating was for weak-minded people in my opinion and these guys seem to share my view, the little guy finally arrived at the tip-off point he must have been 9 or 10 years old I was a little surprised that everyone was looking at him like peers and not a child he must be talented I thought, he looked at me and my opponent then asked

-Are you guys ready?

-YES! we both said in unison

And with this, he threw the ball up I jumped as high as I could which made the little guy gasp because I jumped really high we can measure it but I feel like I must have jumped 50 inches of course fans on the bleachers were stunted too the most stunned was not even my opponent who I was towering over but derrick behind me had his mouth wide open, I easily won the tip-off tapping the ball back toward the still stunned derrick even in this state he still caught the ball with pure muscle memory before coming back to himself saying out loud 

-Good jump The Frog!

Shaking my head with a smile I started running down the court under the opposite team's basket with everyone still shocked and my speed at taking off I had all the space needed to run I made a gesture pointing up to Derrick who I knew understood what I wanted and threw me an alley hoop from the free throw line I jumped as high as I could catch the ball that derrick had sent toward me and slammed it the hard, there was silence for a moments before the fan began cheering, that felt good, even the guys that were waiting to play on the sideline were making a face with the fist in front of there mouth you know the 'ooh face'

Going back to our own half Derrick patted my back and then said

-Dayum! Man that was some awesome shit right there alright no need to wait until after the game lets be friends right here and now hahaha!

-Good with me let's talk after the game I always play alone just so you know I'm so pumped up that I might overdo it this game! I said with a laugh.
