chapter 7 punishment

Jake continued gaming without completing his daily quest , he agreed that the system is fake and won't make him a superhero .

he played "hero restricted" the top character development game in the universe ,the games is made up of many game characters that are very weak and needs to level up .

the game became Jake's favourite , because of him taking his self as a superhero .

he bought a new gamepad, three years after he broke the first one .

he bought a new gamepad with the money he have , he don't need to buy certain stuff , because the government is the one Caring for the little ones without any parent.

he played the hero restricted always Because he loved to be one of them , his dream of becoming a superhero is still in his head .

he continued playing until the quest window appeared in front of him .

the window disappeared after informing Jake about the disadvantages of missing his first daily quest .

" How can a system , piece of writings punish a mortal like me , this is insane " he chuckled.

he decided to continue gaming and see what the system can punish him with , his mind is made up there is nothing piece of writing can do to hurt him .

he looked at the clock , and the time is 11 : 37 pm .

' 23 minutes to go ' he held the game pad with his strength because he is playing his favourite game and he don't want to lose .

23 minutes later ,the quest window appeared to him agian ,this time the quest window that always displays in white and other colors , displayed in red colours and the text displayed in black .

" where is the punishment." he looked at the quest window and turned back to the pad in his hands .

but what he saw made him very very scarred and he almost frozed out .

Jake is between two tall mountains more taller than mount Everest , his hands are holding two long ropes tied to his left and right side .

And he is standing on top of a thick rope tied from the start of the mountain to the end of it ,and he is in the middle .

and another rope tied to his waist ,beneath him is a lake of volcanoes .

" what..where am I ,why .. I was in the room ,what happened" he couldn't bear it any longer, everything he is seeing now he haven't seen it before .

he have no where to go, he can't go back to the starting if he does that he will slip and fall into the consuming volcanoes beneath him.

And he is very very afraid to move an inch out of the position he is staying.

the quest window appeared before him agian and he read the things written on it .

" er...please please I can't take me back to my room " he pleaded,all the courage he have in his self had left him and he is pleading with tears in his eyes .

' this system is real ,I can't believe am here ' bucket of sweat dropping from his body is as a result of the heat emitting from the volcanoes beneath him .

and also from the trauma he is facing at the moment ' wish I responded ,oh look at what I cause myself , am not leaving till I complete this death rope walk ' .

he moved his first leg after gathering all his strength and energy he have in him ,as soon as he moved his leg the rope responded by shaking and lowering a little.

" this rope is not tight how am I ever going to survive this " he grumbled as he tries to balance his leg.

and also the quest window appeared as usual showing the punishment he is facing and the way to come out of it.

" if I die here will it happen in reality " he asked to clear his doubt , he was thinking that the system can only punish him not kill him .

the voice stopped sounding in the place he is staying because the 3 minutes she mentioned is over .

' looked at what I caused my self , this is bad ' he moved again this time after almost 5 minutes.

he continued taking one step at a time ,and the window displayed how long and the distance .

' you can do this Jake , you can do this , I need to ' he gathered the strength remaining In him.

tightening the room on the side of his hands ,and he took three step at a time , each step gives him a total of 0.03 kilometer.

he did this till the time stopped counting , the window displayed 0 : 00 00s , and he have 0.9 kilometer remaining .

he moved ahead with caution , and this time he wasn't lucky enough he slipped and one of his hands left the rope it was holding , leaving him with one rope to support himself.

' Holy hell .I I almost lost it all ,this is bad only one support , how will I survive this ' he thought to himself looking at the remaining distance on the quest window .
