chapter 6 faking courage

The following sunrise the streets in SOE that is constantly busy became very calm , not even a pet was seen outside , the government impose a curfew on the inhabitants of SOE,

The union of presidents gave rise to a suggestion to proceed with the weapon they intended on using 19 years ago .

The military and the numerous scientist agreed that all the youthful ones between the age of sixteen to twenty six are the the ones that the weapon are going to work on .

they planned on taking the people to the inner city they built away from the people ,the leader of the union agreed it.

and they have started picking everyone with their various armored car , and warships to the place.

the sky is very busy , that you will find it difficult to see the sun very well , because of the warships flying to and fro in the sky.

meanwhile in Jake's room he is sleeping like a little baby , he knew nothing about the new law from the president union because he was asleep yesterday.

soon his eyes opened and he viewed the room , he tried to remember what happened yesterday .

'where is the glass box , he started looking for the glass box , he shift his gaze from the chair to the direction of the glass box .

' where is it I thought I saw it there or was I dreaming ... yes yes that voice of an Android lady and the light from last night ,where are they I can't see it '.

just as he was throbbing his brain to remember what happened then a transparent window appeared in front of him.

he also recalled when the lady told him about the daily quest which he can use in earning exp .

he is used to video games so he knew almost everything about VR systems ,but not this type of advancement that is used on humans not on game characters .

" daily quest please , what is my daily quest " he asked and the window responded .

Sandra is his crush while in school , she is older than him with 2 years making her his senior in school , but Jason always chased and dream of being her boyfriend .

but Nathan the son of the school owner , always give him hard times while talking to her .

sometimes embarrassing him or sending him on errand , sometimes they end up fighting, and Jason always gets defeated in humiliating way with bruises all over his body .

" when is the last time I exercised , I guess it is time to shake it off " he said to himself readying him self to exercise.

he set his digital watch to stop him after a hour , so he could stop exercising.

' which exercise..which one come on I need one ' he thought to himself. ' alright I get it ..I get it '

he bent on the floor placing both hands on the floor ,and stretching his lags backward .

" ummm " he flinched in pain as press his body downward and finding it difficult to take it up agian .

" this is way too difficult for me let me try another " he sat down on the floor so he could rise up without using all his strength .

' how about .. seat up yes let me try it ,it might be easy ' he thought and the quest window appeared in front of him again.

he started exercising though sometimes he gets tired , instead of resting to gain enough energy to continue ,or even completing the other quest , he will always play video game and after sometimes return to exercising .

" quest window " he called out and the quess window appeared in front of him .he skimmed to the daily quest section to see how many minutes .

he remembered the speech of the president last night ,he remembers the president saying he will get back to them .

' umm the president speech of yesterday ,what is the latest news ..oh he said no coming out ,but am a superhero now , I show no fear '

he Walked to the door ,and lower the lock to open the door .

the house he stays only have a bedroom and a bathroom making it only two rooms in the house in the small compartment.

" holy hell!! " he exclaimed .

he was frightened because of the darkness outside ,the reflection of the sun is no longer touching the ground .

and the shadow of the warships is like a whale floating in the air .

panting " what is that why is the sky so busy today " the courage he gathered between his self before leaving the room is no longer with him.

Jason slightly opened the door to see what is flying in the air .

after seeing it that it is the warships owned by the army ,he spat out a sigh of relief.

' I guess there is nothing to be afraid of '
