Strength of Will (A BNHA x Undertale FanFic)

After Frisk finally managed to bring peace to her universe a certain glitchy skeleton appeared out of nowhere and erased it from existence, but luckily the goddesses Fate and Destiny found her Soul and decided to let her reincarnate, what will Frisk do? And will she be able to stay a pacifist... (I am not a native english speaker, so please forgive me for any spelling mistakes, this is also the first novel I am writing, so don't expect high quality stuff, this is just going to be some half-assed story, that I am writing because of quarantine, and I repeat DON'T EXPECT QUALITY! Btw obvious DISCLAIMIER, I don't own BNHA or Undertale and the cover art was made by Patzzi and reedited by Solunary.)

Strange Premonition

"So, you think you are selfish, because you want to be happy? Did I understand correctly?"

Akane shook her head.

"I think I am selfish, because I want to be happy, yet take the happiness of others away."

Nezu nodded his head, honestly her outburst told him more about her than the entire conversation he had with her before. How funny it is for him to rely on that kind of thing.

Akane, she was just to pure for this kind of world. A world were strength counts, where your social worth is determined by the usefulness of one's quirk.

Akane was a simple girl, maybe a bit naive. She views other people's feelings just as important as hers. Yes, it might be because she feels them just intensely as hers, but there have been similar cases like her, most of them just went insane to be honest.

But Akane apparently could deal with it well, additionally she didn't start to despise humanity, it was more like that she is in pain when other where in pain. It might not be visible on the outside, but she probably felt the same amount of pain as the other party. After all, she could analyze other people's feelings just the same as her. That required extensive knowledge of feelings and how to interpret them, that was impressive.

There was just one little problem. Her maximum threshold. When would be the point for her to snap? When would she discard the concept of emotion to have her peace? When would she be so disgusted by humanity that she decided to try wipe it out?

She might just be a little child, a blind and quirkless one at that, but she had the brawns. Yes, nobody judged her yet, because she never did bad things, her way up to fame was a completely righteous one, which is more impressive, because show business is mostly stepping over others as a stepping stone, but she never did that. She simply climbed up through skill and effort without any trickery.

But still, who said that she wouldn't be able to resort to ways like that? Who said that she couldn't do things like that? Who said that she wouldn't be able to use her charisma to create a secret organization to overthrow everything?

Yes, she is still a kind, little girl, but one could never be absolute sure. Well there was still a question left.

"Akane, why do you plan to become a hero?"

The atmosphere around the girl drastically changed suddenly and it seemed as if a beam of light came in the right moment to light her face.

She gave a big, shining smile with closed eyes before she answered his question.

Chara sat on a little wooden porch in the middle of the night with a big smile, eating her chocolate. She was happy, she finally recovered from using her essence as a catalyst to use magic. She really missed her chocolate.

"Someone's enjoying their chocolate as I see."

Chara turned around. It was the old lady that gave her the divination about meeting Himiko. Well not really old. Turns out that she was just a normal woman with an illusion quirk, combined with a relocation quirk to points she marked. A pretty strong combination to be honest.

Her divination abilities were just the same as in the old days when quirks weren't a thing yet.

"Yes, I do. You know, getting knocked around when you dropped your weapon is just really painful. Who would have thought that I would be out of business for so long?"

The woman looked at Chara with a doubtful expression.

"For someone out of business you were pretty active though."

Chara just chuckled softly.

"You mean the one or two gangs I dealt with in the last months where I wasn't present?"

She gave a long sigh before she continued her sentence.

"Well, I am basically the only thing that keeps public sentiment in these parts high. If I am gone for a while, gangs will get more active again, go out of hiding, threaten residents again. I just tried to be there, strong enough to keep up with loads of people, saying that I am still here protecting these parts."

She suddenly felt a head pat on her head.

"Yeah, that's cute and all, but I am not talking about you doing this all this fighting."

The head pat suddenly gained a lot of pressure and Chara could feel how her head was grabbed.

"I am talking about how you still manage to locate my shop each night, while grabbing a bar of chocolate before disappearing."

"Hahaha..."

Chara started to sweat, she remembered how she extorted Akane to do her work while she was absent...

...which was mostly about 'buying' chocolate from this place.

"Calm down, old woman. I paid, so I didn't do anything wrong."

"It's still creepy how you manage to locate my shop!"

"Well, you don't really teleport outside of this district, once I knew this part like my pocket pants it wasn't difficult to locate this place."

She just clicked her tongue before turning around and attending her shop again. She understood that she won't get rid of Chara. No matter what.

"Well, you are basically a regular here now, so I think I'll read the future for you a bit."

She just stared at Chara, looking bored.

"The people around you will get very hurt by the things you will do in the future. Whether you had an active role or a passive role in that decision."

Chara finished her chocolate bar after that woman finished that sentence. She turned around and gave her a knowing smile.

"Isn't it obvious, duh? You act like I don't stir up unnecessary trouble!"

She stretched her tongue out before disappearing.

"What a curious child."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akane was back at her home, after Chara finished scouting the district. Chara was satisfied with the result Akane achieved to keep the current mentality there stable. Nothing was lost in the months she wasn't there.

Akane was about to sleep, was what Chara thought. Instead she was currently wandering around in her soul.

"Well partner. Restless? I wouldn't see another reason why you should be awake in this moment."

Akane just looked at Chara and nodded. She was indeed a bit restless.

"My gut tells me that my life will change drastically from now on. I guess it's obvious with me going another step towards being a hero, but there is something else bugging me that I can't identify."

Akane just lay on the ground in her favorite room, trying to relax. Sadly, even the chill room could barely lift of Akanes restlessness.

"Do you want to find it out yourself, or should I lay it out for you, partner?"

Akane just gazed at Chara, considering her offer. She didn't really know if she should accept, after all she was quite the bother to her partner more often than not. She didn't really want to take and take from her again and again.

Chara just laughed hearing these thoughts.

"Are you really worried about something like that? In all honesty, I am happy that you rely on me so often. Frisk never did that, even if it clearly was the obvious solution, she chose to shoulder everything herself. Akane, each one of us would gladly help you out in your times of need, and not just us! Your friends, your family they all would gladly help you out. So quit shoulder everything yourself, life is short and there rarely are opportunities to change the decisions you once made. You should accept them while you can."

Akane nodded hearing this but was still a bit confused about all this. Didn't she already rely on other people? Was she really the person to refuse other persons help and if that wasn't the problem? How much did she always shoulder herself?

"Partner, it's no use breaking your head over this topic now. Do you want to hear your problem or not?"

"I want to hear it."

Chara just smiled at that instantaneous answer.

"Well, it's about the essence that is flowing through your blood vessels. You might want to lead it somewhere."

And with that Chara left the room to let Akane ponder by herself.

At the headmaster office in UA:

"Nezu, do you think that it was the right choice to make that bet with the girl?"

Nezu looked up from his documents, giving his secretary a knowing smile.

"Who knows, I just thought it was interesting to test that girls resolve of becoming a hero."

She was continuing to sort his finished documents but paused a second after hearing this. As always, Nezu was a bit sadistic about his proposals.

"How sadistic. Did the rest of the school staff give their permissions for this special case?"

He just casually took a sip out of his coffee mug.

"Well, they have to, or else they should try searching for a new job, Hisho."

She looked at that coffee mug. The coffee in it was Kopi Luwak, coffee from half-digested beans found in poop. She wondered if, whatever animal Nezu was, would have regularly eaten poop.

"How whimsical of you, don't you think it would result in a backlash if you gave that girl an honorary seat to UA?"

Nezu slammed his coffee mug down on his table hearing this.

"The only reason why it would be simple. It's because it's her, nobody likes seeing a powerless girl climbing up a top let alone multiple. It will just result in the same problems. These idiots will all immediately calm down once she shows exceptional results."

"Fair enough. Humans just are like that, and the bet was kind of ridiculous too. The right to only enter if she breaks all the records of the entrance exam tests. Well, if she is able to make that she would deserve an honorary seat into UA."

"Glad to know that you have the same opinion as me in this point. Now onto a different topic. Is that Kopi Luwak coffee in my mug?"

"I don't know what you are talking about."

Hisho started to sweat after she was caught red handed. She would probably escape unscathed out of this situation, but it was still uncomfortable being found out.

"Whatever coffee it is, I like it. Brew me the same brand again next time."

Hisho just laughed wryly. This time he won.

"All right. I'll admit it, please don't let me buy this. That kind of coffee is expensive!"

Some things to wrap, or bring up loose ends again.

Sorry that this is so short btw.

I'll soon start with UA.
