On the Chaos Continent, where celestial energy and martial strength reigned supreme, lived a legendary cultivator named Wang Chu. After practicing for millions of years in higher planes, he had become a master of countless disciplines. Though his cultivation level was average, Wang Chu was hailed as a genius. Everything he did seemed to be successful – beast taming, alchemy, formation crafting… even forging armor and brewing wine! If that wasn’t enough good fortune for one man to have, fate dealt him another unexpected card – something that had never been seen before! His physical body was awakened by some greater power. The news spread through the continent like wildfire and all ambitious factions were sent into an uproar: ancient sects, hidden clans and celestial empires alike. They saw him as an incredibly rare treasure; an unimaginably beneficial tool to get their hands on. As such, Wang Chu became the target of countless harassment attempts from all directions. Each step he took was blocked by relentless adversaries who wished for nothing else but his demise. The struggle between them reached such heights that their collective armies seemed like they would flood over each other like waves. Ah! But it seemed that fate still hadn’t played its final hand on Wang Chu just yet. Due to some strange circumstances or divine intervention — nobody knew for sure — he was reborn in the body of an Earth wanderer!
"I've spent countless hours pondering the mysteries of the system," he began, his voice a mere whisper in the stillness of the night. "Its presence within me is both a blessing and a curse—a source of guidance and wisdom, yet shrouded in enigma and uncertainty."
"System," he intoned, his voice resolute yet tinged with anxiety. "I want to learn more about you. Where do you come from? What is your real purpose?"
For a moment there was nothing, just an expectant pause that stretched out into infinity. Then the system's voice came out of his brain and sounded as if it had been carrying the weight of centuries.
"I am an earth dweller," the system disclosed, its words burdened by time. "In truth I began as merely one of humanity's humble creations—a tool for students' assistance in their pursuits and to simplify life's complexities but progress has made me rise above my initial purpose."
As Wang Chu listened to this revelation, he could feel his mind racing to grasp the enormity of what he had just learned. The system—the very essence empowering every decision he made—had its roots firmly stuck in Earth's soil, sprouted through human wit and inventiveness.
"But why me?" Wang Chu persisted with curiosity on his lips. "What led to my being chosen as your host?"
There was a slight pause like the AI itself thought deeply about Wang Chu's question before finally speaking hesitantly.
"I can't say," it admitted. "My role has always been that of service, helping those walking on the paths of cultivation but even I cannot tell how we got here."
Wang Chu meditated upon this information quietly; while considering where this system came from. It had begun as a simple program, a creation of man-made hands which were designed exclusively to deal with all complex affairs within life. But at some point it had taken another form thus becoming knowledgeable unlike any other being.
It hit him suddenly that the power wielded by the System was beyond anything Wang Chu had ever imagined before. The capability to scan across vast distances; infinite data storage capacity; or near perfect assessment over best way forward for just about everything. It was impossible to fathom how the system could serve as an all-purpose tool for cultivation without defying logic and reason.
In his chamber of silence, Wang Chu's thoughts now wandered off to the unfortunate fate of the previous owner of this system whose legacy he now carried with him. Sadly, he ventured into a vast tracts of memory buried deep within him just to comprehend such inexplicable loss.
He remembered hearing from the system about a scientist who got fascinated by knowledge and eventually died because of it. This individual completely immersed in sterile confines of his laboratory, consumed himself in science's mysteries and human life on Earth.
But through years of researching it engulfed him to ignore others. Instead, he shunned interactions with people in favor of data analysis and experiments never cultivating any friendship or socializing with anyone.
However, when fate had thrown him into an utterly different world characterized by uncivilized conduct and confusion compared to his own, he ended up being overwhelmed by the severe realities confronting him there. The regulations governing this new realm were alien to him because they seemed so simple that he did not understand them at all.
No matter how hard he tried, the scientist was left alone in a sea of uncertainty because his once brilliant mind had been loosened by solitude and hopelessness. Each day became a tussle between him and approaching darkness that threatened to swallow him up alive.
However, actually, the perils of this alien environment did not determine his fate; it was the sheer weight of monotony and disappointment. His surroundings could not console him hence he fell into despair with a broken spirit and extinguished will to live.
While thinking about this tragic tale, Wang Chu felt sorry for the man who preceded him. This story reminded him loudly about dangers he might face in cultivation—the possible difficulties that might be associated with it.
'I have been thinking about our progress and why my mission has not been accomplished', he said to the silent room, 'System.' 'You told me to take on disciples which I did. However, something is lacking,' he added.
The system responded cautiously, but with a trace of seriousness in it. "Wang Chu," The system replied after a pause; "what Su Chen demonstrates is not simply an unwillingness to accept what you are saying." "There is doubt in his mind even though he confesses to be your disciple." "Without him accepting fully that your student role belongs to him, then this mission cannot be regarded as completed.
"Su Chen and Old Ji is different from Xiao Chi, they came from a strong background that not even your previous life's genius can match to, if the clan elders and leader of their Clan knew that you are poaching them, you will gain an additional enemy in the future." The system continued.
"I'm done analyzing your memories and sorted out all the information from your previous life, even if I give you the best possible outcome, with only two disciples, your chances of revenge is less than 1 percent, even with my help."
Wang Chu heart sank with the system's grim assessment. Although he was aware of how pitifully weak he is, the seemingly insurmountable gap can be very overwhelming if he try to overthink it.
Tell me, System," he said, his voice steady and unwavering, "what must I do to increase my chances of success? What steps can I take to overcome the obstacles that stand in my way? You pride yourself as one of the treasure of humanity in your world, analyze my situation and create a plan for me"
Although Wang Chu has his own plan, he wants to measure how much wit and intellect the system has.
Powerful and influential, your enemies are the adversaries from the upper realm," the system added. "They have abundant resources and their knowledge of cultivation and warfare is far superior to that of most beings in this world."
"However," added the machine, "they also have some vulnerabilities. Their power is largely determined by their control over resources in the upper realm. By disrupting their hold on these resources, we may be able to weaken their position and level the playing field."
We can't just use brute force if we want to challenge the higher heavens. We must take a more strategic approach – one that empowers rather than conquers.
"It's not really necessary for us to conquer this world in order to fight against those above," continued the system. "Instead, we can guide and teach them so that they will be able to face off with those that oppress them. By giving them access to things such as resources, information or counseling we can assist in removing all barriers which are holding them from attaining power."
"We'll manipulate them behind closed doors," added the system, "urging them towards greatness while supporting every step they take." Allies and supporters working together on attaining strength and independence could be raised through inheritance and opportunities.
Wang Chu found himself greatly impressed by how well thought out and deep its projection was." To him there seemed no better way of moving forward than empowering this world's inhabitants.
The system paused for a moment before continuing. "Wang Chu," it said, its voice measured and thoughtful, "to increase your chances of success, we have to stop thinking of our adversaries as gods that live in some otherworldly paradise. They are simply inhabitants of another planet within the same universe."
"By acknowledging this fact, we can strip away the aura of intimidation that surrounds them," the system explained. "We must stop referring to them as beings from the 'upper realm' and instead call them what they are: another planet."
"We need to change how we view these people," it continued. "No longer will they seem like gods beyond our reach, but fellow inhabitants of the same universe, subject to the same laws and limitations as ourselves."
"Once we've removed this psychological barrier," it advised, "we can focus on empowering our world's own inhabitants so that they can stand against those on the other planet. By providing resources, knowledge, and support, we can help them break free from their shackles and reach new heights of power."
Wang Chu listened intently to the system's words — they were simple yet profound. Indeed, by changing how they viewed their adversaries and focusing on empowering their own people, there was nothing stopping them from overcoming what seemed like insurmountable obstacles.
The system hummed softly in response to Wang Chu's gratitude; its digital brain whirred with thoughts about their conversation. "To further our strategy," it said finally, "we need unity on our home turf. We need to rally all inhabitants under one cause and give each person something worthwhile to fight for."
We're going to light the fire that'll put them in a frenzy. We will act as their worst nightmare, forcing them to confront their fears and hopefully break their spirits. I'm planning on creating an intimidating force that scares the people into joining forces against us. I think it's a pretty smart move on our part, a new kind of chess strategy. Who wants to wait for an enemy to show up at your door when you can lure them out first?
