Monster

Alex and Finn start wandering the woods and over the past hour, they were able to see a vast amount of wildlife. Alex thought it was really cool while letting Finn hunt for some of his own food. Obviously under his watch. Finn was able to catch a rabbit and that was his first successful hunt. Alex was really proud of him.

After another 20 minutes, Alex was feeling a pressure from deeper inside the woods. Of course, Alex being the curious kid he was, went to go take a peek. After snooping for another 5 minutes, Alex and Finn saw a bear with a height of 5 meters(16.4ft) and a really thick body.

Alex: 'Woah. It's a MightBear! I never thought there would be one here. They're usually in the woods. Wait, this is the woods. I've been off my game lately. I guess I'll take a break this weekend.'

Alex and Finn were watching the MightBear from 20 meters away. Then, all of a sudden, it looked right at them.

Alex: ?! 'How'd it see us when we're this far and hiding? Is this gonna be my first fight? Good thing I brought dad's sword with me or else I would've been in trouble. Wow, I'm so excited!'

Alex: Wish me luck, Finn.

Alex stood up and walked from behind the bush. He slowly unsheathed his dad's sword. It was a katana with a red and white handle, with a black guard. The blade was a shiny silver color. When he unsheathed it all the way, it felt like it became a part of him, like it was bonding to his soul. The edge of the sword started shining with a bright redish-orange color. When Alex saw this, he became even more excited. He didn't know this was a Soul Tool. A Soul Tool is a tool made with an intent that will bond with whoever it deems worthy. Anyone could use the tool, but not to it's full potential. Alex was sure that the seller and his dad didn't know this, but Alex didn't really care.

Alex slowly walked towards the MightBear with a huge grin on his face.

Alex: Owari Da.

Alex disappeared and then reappeared behind the bear slowly sheathing his sword. The MightBear stood there and then it's head fell off while it's body collapsed on the ground. Finn was still hiding in the bush when he slowly walked towards the dead MightBear. Finn was curious so he took a small bite of the bears flesh.

Alex turned around just in time to see Finn biting the bear. After Finn swallowed a bite, his fur started to glow a bright golden color. Alex was even more shocked than before. It turns out that Finn was a legendary monster. He was a part of the race, Golden Fox. The Golden Fox are a rare species of monster foxes that are almost completely wiped out. But they're also very strong. And Finn just so happens to be one. But Alex thought for a bit. If Finn was such a rare fox, why did he leave his parents? Alex threw that thought to the back of his mind, he'd come back to that later.

Finn started to shine even brighter than before as he transformed into a beautiful fox with a golden hue. Slowly, the golden color started fading and his appearance was like a normal fox, although more beautiful, once again.

Alex: 'Who knew I'd be such a lucky person! My life is truly amazing! I can't wait to tell mom and dad. But what am I gonna do with this MightBear corpse?'

Alex looked at the corpse again, or at least where the corpse was supposed to be. He looked at Finn who was licking his lips. Alex's eyebrow twitched as he now knew Finn had eaten the entire bear. Alex slowly walked to Finn and crouched down to his level.

Alex: Finn, where did you fit all that? You're not even an eighth the size of the bear! So how'd you eat all of it?

Finn: I don't even know, honestly.

Alex: As I thought. Anyways, let's go home Finn.

Alex started walking in the direction of his home but then he stopped and quickly turned around back to Finn.

Alex: WAIT A SECOND! DID YOU JUST TALK FINN?

Finn: Yes...

Alex: BUT- Nevermind. It doesn't even matter anymore. Let's go.

Alex and Finn walked back home and made it after an hour and a half. Alex and Finn walked back inside from the backdoor and locked it behind him.

Alex: I'm hooooome!

Alex walked inside and sat on the couch with Finn jumping on the couch right next to him. David and Elizabeth walked in the living room laughing while talking.

Elizabeth: Welcome back, Alex.

David: Hey son!

Elizabeth had a small smile on her face while David had a huge grin on his face.

David: Ohhhh, what's that I see? My sword? Glad it's not gonna be collecting dust anymore!

Elizabeth: David, stop it! We came to tell him something important!

Elizabeth was whispering that into David's ear so Alex didn't hear her.

Alex: Of course, old man! I'm gonna use it to its full potential!

Elizabeth and David sat down on the couch in front of Alex. Elizabeth had a smile on her face as she looked at Alex while David was still grinning.

Elizabeth: Alex, I know you've been saying you've had fun doing everything but saying you also wanted a sibling. So, with that being said...

Alex: Wait, do you mean....?

Elizabeth: Yes. I'm pregnant.

Alex's face changed to one of pure joy as he jumped out of his seat with a huge smile on his. He's wanted a younger sibling for the longest time.

Alex: I'm gonna be a big brother! This is amazing! I'm gonna be the best big brother in the world!

David and Elizabeth looked at Alex with smiles on their faces. They knew he'd be excited, but not to this extent. But they didn't mind in the slightest.

I'm just writing these now so that's why it's like this or whatever. There's also gonna be a timeskip next chapter so just be prepared for that. But yeah, that's about it.
