Starred Up

Deen, a seven year old boy, arrives in Korea with his mother Mia. With a strong determination to raise her son properly, Mia ensures Deen lacks no love in his life. In her spare time, Mia is a huge fangirl of the Korean boy group, TNT. But in an unexpected twist of fate, the mother-son duo end up being the neighbors of D3, another legendary boy group, which happens to be TNT's biggest rival. D3 consists of the short tempered Taewon, gentle Joon Jae and the goofy Jan. On top of that, Mia is hired as the personal designer for TNT, which consists of the charismatic leader Soo-Yon and the playboy maknae Cheng. Despite the rocky start, Mia and her son grow closer to all the members of both the groups. With time, the members realize they have fallen in love with the same woman, disrupting each group's dynamics. Furthermore, the origins of the hostility between the two groups resurface, making everyone involved question the decision they made a decade ago. As secrets unfold, the members vie for Mia's affections, Deen observes that she has eyes only for one of them. But which one of them will she choose? Cheng-Time To Breakup

What?' I frowned. Sure, my playboy image was well known but Re-on and I were not exclusive to each other. I told her that before we hooked up. 'Re-on, you do know that we are just friends with benefits, right? I made that clear when we started all this.'

'So you are with another girl!' she cried, ignoring me completely.

'No, I am not,' I said drily. 'I'm at a photoshoot.'

'Really?' she asked, a bit skeptic

'Really,' I assured her.

'I miss you oppa,' she moaned in a cutesy voice. 'Let's meet up. Now.'

I sighed. It was time to break up with her. Too bad, I thought. We could have stayed as friends with benefits. Oh well.

'I can meet up,' I said casually. 'Mmm... Conrad Hotel? Meet me at the private bar.'

'Okay, sugar,' Re-on exclaimed. Sugar? That's it. I had to break up with this chick.

I rummaged through my bag to change my clothes. Then I remembered that I left my duffel bag at the studio. If I went to the studio early, the management might ask why I left the photo-shoot midway. Need to call Ahn Yang ahjussi.

I dialed his number. Took him a while to pick up.

'Ahn ahjussi,' I said. 'Can you send someone to the Conrad Hotel with my duffel bag? I left it at the studio.'

'Conrad Hotel?' he asked. 'Aren't you at the photoshoot?'

'Yeah, it's over,' I said. 'I'll need my clothes though and those are in the duffel bag. And the ones I'm wearing are from sponsors. They'll want these back soon.'

'Alright,' he said. I noted the skepticism in his voice. 'I'll send in the new girl with your bag. She was supposed to attend the shoot anyway but her meeting with the management took a while.'

'Oh yeah,' I recalled. 'The new fashion designer. The one recommended by Professor Ahn.'

'Yeah, I'll ask her to bring over your duffel bag.'

'Alright,' I said. I forgot it was the new fashion designer's first day at work. She was specially recommended by our old mentor, Professor Ahn. I recalled our last meeting a few months back.
