HOTD part 21: Chase.

The weather started turning worse with some dark clouds that filled the sky and covered the sun.

Takagi mansion now was in chaos with the survivors running away in fear.

The zombies outside started to gather more while beating the gate.

Some brave survivors saw what is happening and tried to reinforce the gate or push the zombies away, but all their actions were pointless especially with the hordes growing bigger.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

With few more hits, the gate got smashed by the zombies, which allowed the zombies to enter the mansion.

The survivors next to the gate were the first victims for the zombies or the gate that crushed them underneath it.

The moment the gate broke, and the first zombie walked toward the mansion. All the survivors stopped their movements before looking at the zombies.

"Grrr..." the zombies howling sounds had awakened every survivor before they screamed while running.

The zombies that heard the survivors screams ran even faster, reaching the first survivors before biting them.

The survivors tried to fight back with simple weapons. However, the zombies were too much especially with most the survivors are in a state of panic.

The situation started to get worse. The dead survivors that got bitten by the zombies started to transform into zombies and joining the hordes to attack the survivors.

In less than 15 minutes, one-third of the survivors got killed before turning into zombies.

The despair spread into the survivor's hearts with every zombie advanced while some of them started to act crazy.

At that moment the survivors heard a voice that they fear but at this moment they felt it the greatest voice ever.

"Threw the dynamite!" A deep and stern voice was heard from the mansion before four guards appeared while throwing four dynamites.

*BOOM* *BOOM* BOOM* BOOM*

The four dynamite landed in the places where there were a lot of zombies before exploding them into shreds.

"Now! First team start the cars and block the gate!" Souichiro appeared with his wife and guards while sending orders.

"YES SIR!" the guard in the back nodded before sending a signal towards the mansion back.Four cars and two forklifts rushed towards the zombies hordes while running them over before stopping at the gate and used the cars to block the zombie's advancement.

"Team two, Cover your comrade's retreat. Team three, start clearing the monsters around the mansion" Souichiro ordered while looking at the guards leaving the cars and running towards the mansion.

Few guards holding guns started shooting the zombies while covering their retreating comrades, but there was one zombie sneaking behind a guard and almost biting him.

However, before the zombie bites the guard it got shot by Kohta in the back with a sniper rifle.

"I got one..." Khota smiled maniacally while looking at the guard that was sweating next to him.

"S-sorry, I doubted you before" the guard answer while feeling afraid from Khota look.

Some guards rushed to the back while killing zombies with their swords, but they weren't effective like the purple-haired female that was wearing a school uniform while killing every zombie next to her.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!?" Saya that killed a zombie using her pistol, screamed at the frozen survivors.

"Stop acting pathetically and do something useful!" Saya said towards the survivors before some of them turned angrily at her.

"You... WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN WHEN MY BROTHER IS DEAD!!!" a survivor screamed at Saya.

"IT'S YOUR FAULT THIS HAPPENING AND NOW YOU WANT US TO KILL PEOPLE WITH YOU!!!" a man screamed at Saya.

"Not only you didn't protect us but also trying to convince us that the killing is acceptable. Everyone Listen" a blue-haired woman started talking.

"This man and his daughter are trying to make us attack sick people by force. Just look at his daughter killing people like it was a normal thing to do" the woman said before looking at the people behind her.

"This has to be some sort of disease and you violent thirsty people trying to force your w- " The woman didn't finish her words because Saya put the gun at her head.

"Close that mouth of yours, and if you care about them that much why don't you go talk to them?" Saya said while the woman started sweating.

"Don't think we have any obligation of protecting you... Especially when we can't even guarantee if we are going to live through this. So if any of you want to talk... He can do it with them there" Saya said while pointing at the zombies.

"Disease or something else doesn't matter now because it's life or death situation, so stop this pathetic acts of yours!" Saya said towards the shocked survivors.

"you there!" Saya pointed at a man in the crowd.

"You said your brother died then what are you waiting for... The culprit is right in front of you!" Saya said while pointing at the zombies.

"Remember what happens during this period, the thing that destroyed our normal life, the thing that killed our dearest people, the thing that is currently not only threatening our lives, but even your families now!" Saya looked at the people hugging their families.

"Do you accept what going on? Do you want to be next or your family to turn into them just because of your foolishness?!" Saya said.

"If you want revenge, go get it now nothing is stopping you! Do you want to protect your family then raise up and fight because it's only you can help yourself at this time!" Saya said while looking at the shocked survivors.

"STAND UP AND FIGHT!!!" Saya screamed but all the survivors remained silent.

"DO SEE WHAT SHE IS DOING I TOLD YOU TH-" the woman with blue hair screamed but at this moment some survivors walked towards Saya.

"I had enough from this... I chose to fight for my dead brother and my family that still alive... WHO WITH ME!!!" a man and his friends walked next to Saya before screaming.

the survivors stopped their actions for a while before most of them walked towards the man.

"ARE YOU CRAZY!!?" the woman in blue hair screamed but nobody cared about her.

"Miss, where can we find weapons to fight?" a man asked Saya.

"Go to the mansion door where you will find my father. You will find some weapons and who can't find a weapon use anything you can get to fight with" Saya said while pointing at Souichiro.

"Thank you... FOR OUR FAMILIES!!!" the man thanked Saya before screaming at the survivors.

"FOR OUR FAMILIES!!!" the survivors screamed before running towards the mansion front.

Saya looked at the advancing survivors before she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Saya wanted to freak out, but she saw Saeko smiling at her.

"Don't come behind me like that..." Saya said angrily at Saeko that was smiling.

"You did very well" Saeko said while looking at Saya trembling hands.

"Of course, I'm a genius after all..." Saya said while fixing her glasses.

"And... I want to help them no matter what" Saya said while looking at her parent commanding the guards.

Saeko smiled before returning to killing zombies while protecting Saya.

"... It seems you finally grow up Saya" Souichiro that was commanding the guards smiled while looking at Saya convincing the survivors.

"Hahahahahah... Looks like I have to do my part from the deal" Souichiro laughed before looking at the guards and his wife.

"Yuriko, I will leave the command in your hands... you four, follow me!" Souichiro said before giving orders.

"Souichiro where are you going?" Yuriko asked her husband, but he just smiled.

"To fulfill a deal... Yuriko I trust you with this place" Souichiro said before leaving with the four guards.

"Souichiro... I see, leave it to me" Yuriko said before ordering some guards to cover Souichiro.

Takagi mansion started fighting back and pushing the zombies, especially when the survivors joined the team.

Everyone was fighting with the goal of protecting their dearest people or for the sake of revenge, but those emotions and actions turned into hope in every person's heart at this moment.

Meanwhile, Akashi and the suit man were still playing the cat-and-mouse game with Akashi running from the man.

Akashi kept using the terrain to dodge the suit man flames while trying to lose him, but it was useless.

<This guy... Does he have a way to track me?> Akashi thought while dodging another flame spear.

<Is it heat? That doesn't matter now... I need more information because he already knows I don't have telekinesis> Akashi remember the man saw D4C arm from the hot air vibration.

<I can't trick him by D4C because he will know it and attack> Akashi saw a building in the front so he rushed towards it.

<I only know this guy sucks in controlling his flames and he doesn't get tired from using them> Akashi used D4C eyes to look at the man behind him while dodging few fireballs.

Akashi noticed the suit man only used the flames at basic form like spears or fireball without controlling them in the air to change direction.

<I need to know if he has a limit or weakness because I don't have much time> Akashi started to feel tired from running and using D4C at the same time without stop.

Akashi suddenly saw something with D4C before jumping to the side.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

Few fireballs hit the place where Akashi was standing before exploding.

The suit man flew with his flames and fireballs that are getting compressed by him before throwing them.

<Exploding fireballs... Is he getting impatient, or he started to notice something wrong? However, it seems controlling the flame isn't easy> Akashi thought while noticing the man started to sweat a little.

<I need more time...> Akashi thought before jumping at a building window.

The man saw Akashi's actions before following him while burning everything with his flames.

"D4C!!!" Akashi ran through the building while controlling D4C to destroy every wall in his way.

D4C two arms turned into after images while destroying every wall until Akashi jumped out of the building.

The suit man followed Akashi while melting everything in his path before stopping in mid-air.

"Where did he go?" the suit man said before trying to use heat to spot Akashi, but he stopped by few things thrown towards him at a high speed.

The suit man used his flames instantly to cover himself before he smelled a disgusting smell because all that he burned were two dumpsters.

"It seems you exceeded my expectations. You weren't only a trash but also a burned one" Akashi smiled while pulling a stop street sign and throw it at a very high speed towards the suit man.

"YOU!!" the suit man started to get angry before he burned the sign while compressing a lot of fireballs, but Akashi aimed his revolver at him.

The moment he started. All the fireballs exploded in his face without hurting him because Akashi shot one of them.

"Exploding at contact is something stupid" Akashi mocked the man that the flames covered his vision before throwing a motorcycle he found in the road.

The suit man regained his vision and looked angry as he formed a flame blade and shopped the bike in two, but before he looked at Akashi, he saw something flashing at the bike side.

Akashi smiled and shot the bike right half.

*BOOM*

A giant explosion engulfed the suit man while Akashi retreated with a frown on his face.

<With this I have one bomb left...> Akashi thought before using his eyes and D4C sight to see if there is anything useful.

When the smoke cleared. The suit man appeared with flames surrounding him from every place with a furious look and a few minor injuries.

Akashi saw the man recover before running again, but this time he had a grin on his face.

<I see... it's just a cheap trick> Akashi smiled when he remembered seeing something interesting about the man flames.

The flames lost their bright red colors and returned to normal after the man got hit by the explosion, but they recovered at a very fast speed.

<He can't deal with instant powerful attacks and that thing... This will be interesting> Akashi smiled before he turned and shot immediately.

The suit man tried to drink an energy potion but Akashi forced him to block the bullet which made him burn the potion.

"That illegal you know, after all... We still have a long chase, my friend" Akashi smiled at the man before running again.

The suit man ran after Akashi, but this time he started to sweat even more.

<His dexterity isn't that strong, and he finally lost his calm... It's time to finish this> Akashi started to sweat from using lot of energy before changing his direction and running at a high speed, while being followed by the suit man.
