One month ago, after receiving the inspiration from the "Green Goblin Dream," Norman Osborn began researching the Green Goblin serum.
Considering his own physical condition, he made preparations on multiple fronts.
In addition to directly using the OZ formula for serum production and research, as overseen by Dr. Mendel, he quietly manipulated certain aspects of Dr. Curt Connors' research.
Norman Osborn was a scientist himself and had profound knowledge in the field of biological genetics.
Of course, one of his motivations for researching this was to cure the hereditary disease in his family.
Secondly, it was to make money.
If the biological genetic serum could affect soldiers, it could create super soldiers with abilities surpassing regular individuals in strength, constitution, and speed. This was a significant source of wealth!
And this wealth was something he should have gained over a decade ago.
However, just on the eve of the successful research of interspecies transgenic technology, Richard Parker took off with the most critical technology!
Only incomplete versions remained.
Nevertheless, upon obtaining the OZ formula, he seemed to have glimpsed hope once again.
So, taking advantage of Dr. Curt Connors' inattention, he secretly added a portion of the Green Goblin serum developed using the OZ formula to his lizard gene formula.
This was mainly because his time was running out, and he wanted to see if he could expedite the research for his antidote using this nearly completed prototype.
However, now it seemed fortunate that he hadn't used the lizard gene formula.
This stuff clearly wasn't as potent as the Green Goblin serum!
With this thought in mind, Green Goblin controlled his glider and swiftly flew toward Osborn Tower.
In a state of regained sanity, he knew that after these events, Osborn Corporation would be in a highly precarious position.
He had to move the things he needed before the authorities caught up with him.
As for him...
Before leaving, Green Goblin turned back to glance at Spider-Man standing on Dr. Lizard's corpse, a hint of killing intent flashing in his heart.
"We'll settle this another time!"
"Huh?"
In the ruins below, Mark's Spider-Sense suddenly twitched.
He raised his head abruptly, just in time to catch the last trace of Green Goblin's disappearing figure.
His heart skipped a beat as he remembered the enhanced version of Green Goblin, who had played dead after taking a shot to the head from the Ultimate Universe.
"Could it be..."
No time for a thorough analysis, Mark leaped into action, jumping out of the debris and quickly arriving at the spot where Green Goblin's body had laid.
"As expected... Damn! Is Green Goblin a cockroach?"
The attack just now had been full of anger, with absolutely no intention of holding back. Yet, Green Goblin managed to survive?
Wasn't the movie version of Green Goblin just a weakling enhanced by an incomplete serum combined with advanced technology armor? Other than some high-tech weapons causing minor trouble and identity advantages, which made the original Spider-Man appear a bit challenged in their fights, wasn't the portrayal of the movie version weak in all aspects?
What's with the dying and coming back to life?
Wait a second!
Death and Resurrection. The regenerative immortality of OZ formula.
Several terms flashed in Mark's mind, and then quickly connected.
He understood!
So that's it!
The so-called immortality of the OZ genes in Green Goblin's body was demonstrated like this!
Didn't that mean Miles might also possess this ability?
Oh boy!
Mark set off once again, pursuing the direction Green Goblin had gone, heading toward Osborn Tower.
Regardless of whether it was Norman Osborn or Harry Osborn, today was the day he would get them!
After all, he had received the clearance, and today's actions were on Chief Stacy's tab!
Inside Osborn Tower,
Andrew Spider held a backpack of lizard gene serum and found Gwen Stacy in the laboratory.
At this moment, Gwen Stacy had just successfully prepared the antidote serum and was about to bottle it.
After Andrew Spider explained the situation, the two decided to destroy the serum on the spot, skipping the bottling process altogether.
So, they placed the vials of lizard gene serum into the machine used for producing the serum and directly mixed them within the machine.
At this point, Andrew Spider's Spider-Sense sensed danger approaching.
He quickly ran to the window and happened to see Green Goblin flying towards them on his glider.
Not recognizing Green Goblin, he didn't utter a word, just watched him approach warily.
But he didn't want trouble, yet trouble seemed to find him.
Perhaps this was the nature of being a superhero in the grand scheme of things.
Green Goblin flew past the building, initially without any intention of stopping.
However, when he looked through the transparent glass of the building and saw Andrew Spider standing by the window, a certain string in his mind tightened once again.
"Spider... Man!"
Green Goblin's glider traced an arc in the air, then reversed and headed straight for the floor where Andrew Spider was located.
"Gwen!" Andrew Spider exclaimed, rushing backward and grabbing Gwen Stacy, rolling on the ground.
Boom!
Crash!
The high-strength glass couldn't withstand such an impact, shattering instantly as Green Goblin crashed into the building.
The Green Goblin's glider continued to fly forward, rotating in the air like a gust of autumn wind, scattering the equipment in the laboratory.
As Green Goblin flew over Andrew Spider and Gwen Stacy's heads, he jumped down, his fist striking towards them.
Andrew Spider held Gwen Stacy with one hand and slammed the other hand on the ground, propelling them both up to the ceiling.
From their elevated position, they looked down at Green Goblin kneeling on the ground and his glider embedded in the wall, both of them showing signs of lingering fear.
"Who are you?" Andrew Spider demanded.
"Hehehe—Spider-Man—" Green Goblin raised his head, looking at Andrew Spider. The rational light in his eyes faded rapidly, giving way to the resurfacing of his violent genes.
"Something's not right!" Gwen Stacy's voice suddenly grew frantic.
"What's wrong?" Andrew Spider asked.
Gwen Stacy pointed in a direction and said, "The machine that was synthesizing the serum was damaged by that thing just now! But there's still something inside—"
She didn't finish her sentence.
But Andrew Spider had already understood.
Lizard had prepared four vials of lizard gene serum.
Although they were in a hurry, the antidote serum Gwen Stacy had prepared earlier was more than sufficient. After all, the purpose of the antidote was merely to neutralize certain components in the gene serum.
But now, the machine synthesizing the antidote serum was broken, and they hadn't had a chance to neutralize all the vials yet!
Out of the four vials of green lizard gene serum, two had turned blue, indicating they had become ineffective.
However, two vials remained green!
On the floor, Green Goblin, who had been observing the two, instinctively followed their gaze to the direction they were looking.
Seeing the gleaming green lizard serum placed in the machine's compartment, Green Goblin's eyes lit up.
"Hehehe—"
