Area Recheck/Power Check
Marcus let Steph and Iesha know he will be going off the areas already checked to make sure they are safe. He heads to the North direction starting his official exploration since he didn't get the chance to yet. He picked a couple of flowers he decided to use for personal experiments. He reached the same spot that the others saw the bear previously but there was no sign of it. 'Maybe it rest in different spots each day.' He continued walking for another hundred miles before he came across a blue stream.
'Hmm. This stream is a special mana stream.' he thought internaly. He decided to take a drink from the stream. Cupping some of the water in his hands he drinks. After drinking it he feels a boost in his energy that sends a jolt through his body sending a wave from his body blowing on the nearby vegitation as if its a strong wind. "Wow! That felt amazing. I feel the energy coursing all through me. Maybe i should store more of this water for later." He smiles after thinking out loud to himself while taking out a couple of bottles and filling them.
Leaving the stream he finds a nice open area with different colored trees in the area. He looks around checking for any dangerous animals. 'I don't see any so this will be a good spot to train.' He begins doing a regular training regemine that a soldier would do like push-ups, pull-ups and running a few kilometers. He did this for two hours and still didn't feel tired so he decided to test what he can do with his new power. His eyes turned to a stary blue as he went through the information of his energy skills.
As he is going through his mind an animal similar to a cheeta from Earth was walking through the area as it spots him. The animal is a bit taller than a cheeta with a simalar patern but red in color. It gets low in the grass and sneakily makes its way to Marcus feeling that it has found the perfect prey. As Marcus finished sorting through the ways to use his energy his heart starts to glow an pulse with his heartbeat letting him know of the danger.
He smirks thinking its the perfect way to train. He uses his energy and sends a small sensory pulse to find where the animal is. 'Of course it'd be behind me. Now lets see how fast you are.' He thinks before looking back at the grass then putting energy into his legs then sprinting to the West. The cheeta like animal chases after him in top speed catching up to him in five seconds. "Sh*t!" Marcus curses as he didn't think it would catch him that fast. Dropping to the ground doging the creatures pounce Marcus starts to use one of his powers.
"Mana shield!" he shouts while standing up making his energy shield. It pounces at him again but this time he uses his new shield to push it back a few feet. After it gets pushed back it growls and its claws start to glow in a crismon color. Feeling the danger his energy trait on his heart starts to constantly glow. "Well this should be fun." Marcus smirks as he stops his energy shield and uses one of his offensive energy skills. "Dual mana blades." The energy rushes out of his hands making a grip that he holds onto and two one foot long blades of energy materialize on the end of the grips.
He gets into his fighting stance his father taught him for dual wielding weapons. The creature charges and swipes at him. He parries the swipe and counter attacks to its left side leaving a shallow cut. It backs off and starts circling him looking for another striking oppurtunity. It strikes multiple times at Marcus on his left and right then at his legs. He blocks each strike and stumbles back barely doging the leg strike.
The red cheeta takes advantage of him stumbling and strikes at his chest leaving two deep cuts in an 'X' shape. 'Ow crap. I see it can use some decent tactics.' Marcus didn't heal himself immediately since he wanted to test his limits. This time Marcus moved in and made a flurry of strikes. He missed three as they were dodged but connected with one on its hind leg and the other deepening the cut on its side.
The cheeta feeling the cuts got a bit angry and struck out with a few wild swing strengthining its crimson claws. Marcus blocked two swings but the third broke his mana blades and sent him crashing on the ground about fifteen feet away. Getting up he cracks his neck and makes his energy blades again this time time using more energy to strengthing them. They extend an extra six inches and he enhances his body with the energy. "Now you won't throw me around easily."
The cheeta and Marcus charge at each other continuing their fight. They fought for two hours neither one getting tired but both covered in cuts over their bodies. The cheeta deactivated its crimson claws and just stares at Marcus. Seeing this he is confused but watching what it did next shocked him even further. The cheeta enveloped itself with crimson light and once the light disappeared it was completely healed. After the initial shock Marcus smiled thinking, 'This is perfect training but I won't heal up yet.'
The cheeta at its distance used its crimson claw skill on one of its paws making its claws longer than last time. Slashing at the air it made a ranged attack sending a large crismon swipe at Marcus. Marcus adding more energy to his blades making the energy output denser puts them in front of hisself in an x ready to block the attack head on. When it collides with his blades his arms vibrate with slight pain. 'I'm sure that would've hurt more if i hadn't enhanced myself.'
He also got pushed back a few feet before he broke the attack. Looking ahead of himself now though he couldn't see the cheeta. 'CRAP!' he shouted inwardly trying to turn around quickly. Before he turned completely around a crimson pair of claws dug deep into his side. Enhancing his legs with a concentrated amount of energy he kicked the cheeta away thirty feet. As the crimson claws were removed, "Aaaaah." Marcus shouts from the pain. "Mana heal!"
Marcus finally uses his heal skill as has a big chunk of his side torn out. 'Looks like i wasn't taking this seriously enough. My dad would have some choice words for me if he were here.' He inwardly says while watching the cheeta get up. 'Time to end this fight and head back before it gets dark.' As the cheeta gets up its whole body starts glowing a faint crimson and it uses the crimson claws skill again. This time they weren't long but compressed around its actual claws with a feeling of stronger energy radiating from them.
Seeing that Marcus thinks it has the same thought of finishing the fight like him. The cheeta burst forward making a bang sound in the surrounding. Quickly activating his strongest skill Marcus strikes at the charging cheeta. "Ocean Slash!"
