Her Plan backfired

Trying to make as minimal a noise as possible, Sabrina opened the compartment of the car and waited to see if the driver had heard anything, but it seemed he had not.

Sabrina froze when she saw a gun lying in the compartment but quickly recovered, ignoring the way her heart was beating, she retrieved the weapon with shaky hands and hid it inside the suit jacket, hoping to God she would not shoot herself in the process, at least she knew if push comes to shove, she could always threaten the driver with the gun.

Sabrina found a bundle of new dollar notes and some important papers, all neatly arranged. She took a few bills from the stack to use for herself until she could get a job. She was not a thief; she just wanted to escape.

After the money was safely hidden away, Sabrina stepped down from the car, praying her new master would not come out now and already thinking of what she would say to the bodyguard standing by the door.

"Where do you think you are going," The bodyguard asked in a rough voice that seemed befitting of his rogue look.

"I want to ease myself; you don't expect me to piss in the car, do you?" Sabrina replied, her hands clenched by her side, and her face showing none of the anxiety going through her.

The henchman looked at her for a while, his eyes wild, and the scar on his face gleaming menacingly in the low light, and Sabrina almost pissed herself in fear.

"Go on, I'll keep my eyes on you," He said after a while, and Sabrina's heart leaped with joy, thinking he wouldn't follow her, but as she started away, he locked the car and followed her into a dark alley.

"It's alright there, you can ease yourself now," The bodyguard stopped Sabrina's movement after they had walked for a while, and she turned to look at him defiantly, demanding he give her privacy, but he did not move an inch.

Sabrina knew she had to run for it; it was either now or never, so she bent down and pretended to be easing herself, her hand closed over the gun inside the suit jacket while watching the bodyguard discreetly.

As she retrieved the gun, she got up and made a run for it, her heart beating wildly, she ran with all her might, she ran like the devil was on her heel but she had not even made it out of the alley, when a hand wrapped around her waist and throw her back against the wall.

Sabrina's eyes rolled back in her head, and her head started pounding with vengeance.

"Don't come near me, I'll shoot...shoot you," Sabrina threatened waving the gun in front of him, the gun shaking in her hand.

"Guns don't scare me, chica," He said in a mocking voice as he advanced on her; in panic, Sabrina pulled the trigger, and the sound reverberated across the alleyway.

The gun fell off her hand as she watched the man crumpled to the ground, holding his side.

"I war... warned you, I....I warned you to stay back," Sabrina moaned, rushing to him, and kneeling beside him.

"Don't die... Please don't die..." Sabrina sobbed with tears dripping down her face while she pressed down on the spot where the bullet had hit him, as the man moaned in pain.

Sabrina knew she had to go; the gunshot would have been heard across the whole place, and people were bound to come examine the source of the noise.

Her master is most likely to come out soon; if she is caught, she won't be spared; her offense is too grievous; not only did she try to escape, but she also shot his man.

So, with regrets at what she had done and tears dripping down her face, Sabrina melted into the dark alley that surrounded the rundown street, praying fervently that she would not be found.

When it seemed she was far enough from her starting point, Sabrina hid in another alley not far from the scene of the incident and watched her master's car, hoping to God he would find the driver alive, while she wiped tears off her cheeks with bloodied hands.

Not a few minutes had passed when Jamal stepped out of the building, walked towards his car, then looked around for a while before he retrieved his phone and made a call before he approached the scene of the incident.

An unpleasant feeling nagged at Sabrina. She felt like she had been set up but pushed the feeling away and thanked God for her escape and that he had found the driver. Now she had to find a place to stay and make sure he never found her.

After a few minutes, two dark SUVs arrived, and the driver was supported into one of them; Sabrina sighed with relief when it seemed that he was still alive.

After the two SUVs were gone, Her master waited by his car for a while, then he got in and drove off into the night as if nothing was amiss.

"Keep tabs on her. I want her to be monitored at all times. If she gets into trouble, do not interfere unless her life is in great danger. Send Zaynab to secure her," Jamal said into the phone with a cold and commanding voice.

"Yes, boss, on it already," the voice at the other end of the phone replied in a tone that indicated it was used to following orders, and the call ended.

Jamal was not surprised to find that his new pet had disappeared, and also shot Marko in the process.

The reason he had bought her at all in the first place was because of how fierce and brave she looked on that stage, staring down all those rich aristocrats as if they were not worth her time.

But now she had overdone it; she almost cost him one of his men, and she had also tried to escape him. He had planned on her being his pet earlier, but now, she will learn the hard way what happens when he is disobeyed.

For now, he would play her game and see how long she would survive on the streets of Las Vegas. Then, after Sin City had taught her a lesson, he would take her to Al Jazeerah and show her the meaning of obedience.
