44 You Can't Stop Me Claude

"Good evening, I must say you are actually pretty smart. I want you to teach those useless fucking people in the other departments how to assemble a proper proposal." Cedric sat there staring at the document and didn't bother looking up at the girl who came in.

The girl blinked in shock when she saw that it was not the chairwomen in the seat but a man. "Sir, you are flattering me but I must say that I have never seen you before in my life. Why is it that you are in the chairwoman's chair?" She slowly approached the desk and saw that the young man was rather handsome. "My name is Sam."

Claudia sat up in the chair, watches Cedric and waited to see how he would reply.

"Good, you are competent. I will promote you to be in charge of all proposals before they come to my desk. I do not want to see any more half-assed proposals. As for who I am, you can say that I am the boss behind the scenes. I let Claudia run this shit show but really I am the one that makes all the major calls so when I say something will happen, it will. Claudia, give her John's office he is no longer up to the task that I gave him. He is now demoted and all proposals will go to Sam before they come to me. When the errors are fixed I will sign off on the proposals until then do not bother me. I have important business to attend to and there are only so many hours available in a day." Cedric got up and picked up the failed proposals. "You will come with me and I will show you to your new office."

Claudia stood up, bowed to Cedric and clenched her fist while bowing, "as you wish." She turned back to her desk and started to fill out the demotion paperwork.

Sam looked up at Cedric with her eyes sparkling. "Thank you, Boss. I will not let you down. Please let me take those reports from you and I will work to get them up to standards." She held out her hands in the elevators.

The doors closed and Sam started giggling, "what a show! How much longer until you close this place down? The work is mundane and boring I can do the work with my eyes closed."

Cedric sighed, "just keep up with the tasks that I have given you and you should be able to be a little less bored. I didn't intend to keep this place running forever but we can discuss that at a later date you will see that the people here are getting sloppy I will give you permission to fire some of the useless workers….no wait, that would equal to most of the company." He pulls out a thin cigar and taps it on his hand.

Sam snaps her fingers and lights the end of the cigar. "I know what you mean. My magic can only be used for so many things but I will do what I can to turn a bigger profit. My Lord I will do as you order, Claudia has no clue that some of supernaturals have slipped into the company. I will follow the King of our people no matter how crazy the demands are." She bows and the elevator doors open.

"Very well," Cedric leads her to a huge door on the third top floor. He walks to the main door and slams open the door and sees that John was sleeping at his desk. He sneaks up behind him and then taps his shoulder. "Are you going to keep sleeping on the job? If that is the case then you can get the fuck out of here. I have no use for idiots like you."

"S-Sir, don't be unreasonable. I just slept for a little while, a nap is nothing to get worked up about." John studders and stands up.

"Give me one good reason to not fire you." Cedric blows the smoke into John's face.

John coughs and then looks at the girl standing in front of his desk, "what are you doing in my office you are dismissed for the day. Boss, I have a family that I need to feed and I need this job more than anything else."

"You have not right to dismiss your replacement. Since you need this job you will have to start back at the bottom. You will now report to Sam and this is no longer your office but her office. So I suggest you move your things back down to the main floor. I want you out of here in the next hour. Sam will supervise the move and with this, my job is done. Sam good luck with the small fry and I will check in again when it is time." Cedric left the office and went down to his car that was waiting for him. "Royce, take me home."

At dusk Yuki stirred and got up she climbed out of bed and walked over to the dresser. She got dressed and sneaked to Cedric's office. She noticed that he was not in there but the vials of blood were there. She ran her fingers along the top and picked up the one with the number two on it.

Claude walked up behind her and plucked the vial from her grasp. "You should wait for Cedric to return. I do not know what this will do to you and I do not want to find out what will happen."

Yuki jumped up and took the vail. Before Claude could move the vail from her reach, "did you think that I would just let you take my meal from me. Master Cedric is not here and I want this so I will drink it." She ran into the living room and popped the cork off and drank the blood contents.
