Members of the Aurora Order had brutally murdered Max, a child of the age of 15. In the body of this unfortunate child, enters the memories of Samuel, a not-so-innocent person in his previous life, whose life choices finally caught up to him one day and ended up killing him. However, he is reincarnated in the world of Lord of Mysteries, a horrifyingly tragic world where humans struggle against inevitable monsters of epic proportions by gaining Beyonder powers that ultimately either end up consuming them and causing them to lose control, or become strong enough that the will or the original creator takes over their souls. In this world of steam and machinery headed towards a prophesied apocalypse, armed with a Pathway that did not exist in the fictional novel, that will either lead to his ascension or his demise, Max must strive to survive and save the world... or would he? ---------- P.S. This is my first Fan-fic so go easy on me and give me pointers. Positive criticism is welcomed. If you don't like it or the writing is terrible, Ok. Just leave and don't rub it in my face T-T Anyway, I will post chapters hopefully daily, and I hope you guys help with the creation process of the novel. compared to my other novels, I will be writing this one with no fixed story in mind, so I will depend on you guys to give me pointers on what should come next. As of now, I have only written 2 chapters and will try to write one a day and keep up the upload schedule. Note: I had read the novel quite some time ago, and I do not wish to read 1400 chapters of something I have already read. So I went to the wiki and read through the summaries, and got the just of at least the Tingen Plot. Unfortunately, I do not want our first arc to be in Tingen for obvious reasons; Adam. Also, for those thinking his pathway is super overpowered after reading the first chapter, be warned that despite this, as long as he does not reach the highest Sequence and beyond, he is still too weak to survive in this chaotic world. Also, anything powerful comes at a cost, and you will see the cost when he tries to become a Beyonder. Anyway, I hope everyone likes the story and please comment and leave a review so I know where to fix the the fan fic.

As it turned out, Ademisaul and Tom were not related in any way, but behaved like brothers ever since Ademisaul scared off the larger bullies using his Bloodied eyes and crazed ravings, saving Tom from a brutal ending at their hands, or worse, from hunger. Both the two kids did not have any parents that they knew of, and all they could do was strive for survival.
Tom was like a little brother to Ademisaul most of the time, except when the latter was overcome by his powers and almost lost control. During these times, tom would take up the mantle and take care of Ademisaul.
The bond they shared was quite strong, so it did not take too long for Max to indoctrinate him into believing in the Primordial Unity. In fact, upon learning how Max, who was apparently just another believer of the Primordial Unity, had taken care of Ademisaul's condition, Tom had literally thrown himself at Max's feet while thanking him profusely.
A few days had passed and Tom had become accustomed to Ademisaul's schedule involving long periods of studying, some rest while eating, followed by some training in close-combat, and lastly ending with a lot of mysticism knowledge being thrown into their minds at a rapid pace.
During their breaks, Max would go to the training hall a few streets away from their new hotel and follow the strict schedule given to him by the old trainer.

Meanwhile, Klein held in his breath, afraid the moans of pain would escape at the slightest negligence. He had just escaped from his sister; Melissa's, clutches after lying about the soreness throughout his body from the previous day's training.
After a good eight seconds, he finally made his way down and had breakfast. After seeing both his brother; Benson, and Melissa off, he spent some time resting to get rid of the soreness throughout his body before heading out with his cane and top hat.
It was a warm summer morning as Klein walked along the river at Khoy University until he found a three-story building which showed its age. Here, he located his mentor's office, which had 'Cohen Quentin' written on it.
Knocking before entering, he was shocked to see that instead of his mentor, the academic; Azik was present.
"Good morning, Mr. Azik. Where is mentor? We made an appointment by letter to meet here at ten."
"Cohen had a last minute meeting and went to Tingen University. He asked me to wait for you here."
Klein, up to his usual protagonist habits, unknowingly spent quite some time and focus on observing and defining the features of the person in front of him like his skin, eyes, hair, and dress.
Meanwhile, Mr. Azik also frowned after observing Klein a bit carefully.
"Have I committed some breach of etiquette?" He asked in confusion.
Azik's brows eased as he chuckled softly.
"Don't mind me. I suddenly noticed that you are way more energetic that before. You look even more like a gentleman now."
After discussing a bit more about stuff involving Klein's mentor, Azik finally moved onto the more important aspect of his talk, involving the reason he had just frowned.
"Klein, when I was studying at the Backlund University, I had dabbled with some divination and did quite a bit of research on that. Well, I discovered that there is disharmony, in you fate."
"How is it disharmonious?" Klein asked in amusement, as Mr. Azik was talking about divination in front of a real Beyonder Seer. But then, he recalled the words of Mr. Death from two days ago, and the smirk he had formed in his mind gradually vanished.
"Have you encountered many strange coincidences in the past two months?"
"Coincidences?" Klein began thinking about this a bit seriously.
'Well, the most obvious one is finding clues about the Antigonus Family notebook while chasing after the normal kidnappers.'
'Then there was also the fact that Ray Bieber did not flee Tingen and instead found a place to digest the power bestowed by the notebook, allowed Sealed Artifact 2-049 to track him down easily.'
'Also, Selena had learned of Hanass Vincent's secret incantations, but held off from using them until the birthday where I was coincidentally present.'
Klein's internal frown gradually appeared on his face.
"There are three. Neither too many, nor too frequent. Plus, there was nothing that indicated someone's involvement…" Yet his cut off his sentence short as he recalled Mr. Death talking about 'powers beyond his sight' controlling Klein's fate.
"As Emperor roselle once said, a single coincidence is encountered by anyone. Twice is still normal. Thrice is when you should consider what internal factors are influencing those coincidences."
"Can you tell me anything else?" By now, Klein's mind was in a full-blown panic, but he was able to keep his expression normal.
Azik shook his head before saying, "I can only tell that there is disharmony, nothing else. You have to understand, I am not a real seer."
"I- I see. Thank you." Klein nodded to Mr. Azik.
Later in the afternoon, Klein returned home and drew the curtains, allowing the room to fall into darkness. He then took out a yellow parchment and wrote down, 'The kidnapping of Elliot was due to extraordinary elements.'
Pulling out the topaz pendulum from his wrist, he held it above the paper and closed his eyes, entering a state of cogitation. He repeated the words on the paper to himself multiple times, before opening his eyes, only to see the topaz spinning counter clockwise slowly.
"It is a negative…" Klein muttered to himself. However, he was definitely not satisfied with this result. He performed a dream divination to find out the true reason behind Elliot's kidnapping, but still found nothing amiss.
However, bot Mr. Azik's and Mr. Death's warnings weighed heavily in his mind. As such, he did not waste too much time thinking about it and entered the ancient palace above the grey fog.
Using the spirit pendulum, Klein closed his eyes and entered a state of cogitation again, repeating the words, "The kidnapping of Elliot was due to extraordinary elements," again and again, before opening his eyes.
And the sight made his body immediately freeze up. The pendulum was spinning clockwise rather quickly. The implications of this were incredibly severe, to the point it was downright terrifying.
If Max was here, he would no doubt nod inwardly and think to himself, 'Perhaps this is what Truman Burbank felt when he realised his whole life had been a lie…'
Klein quickly collected himself and performed a dream divination where he investigated the true reason behind Elliot's kidnapping, where he saw a grassy plain, and a dark red chimney, which immediately shattered his vision once he saw it.
Klein deduced a lot of things and rapidly made plans to speed up the digestion of his Seer potion and confirm that the Clown was indeed the Sequence 8 of the Seer pathway.
…
Sometime later, While Klein was at the library to read up on some of the symbols that had appeared during his divination, he came across a Beyonder named Sirius Arapis, who he promptly ended up killing in a life-or-death situation. Taking out the letters from the dead man's pockets, he read up on the conversation this former living person had with a Mr. Z, as well as a lot of clues about the Seer pathway and some clues as to why he was hearing ravings of the Hornacis mountain range.
Ultimately, he also ended up learning about a plan that the dead Beyonder had cooked up to offer the 'lambs' in Tingen as a 'sacrifice to God.' And for this, they needed Mr. Z's help.
Klein immediately recalled the warning Mr. Death had given him regarding the serious event that was going to happen in Tingen and felt a shiver run down his spine.
'Running away will only make matters worse for me.' He thought as he rapidly collected himself.
'I need to get to the bottom of this entire case and solve it before anything catastrophic occurs in Tingen. Especially considering I, Melissa, and Benson are a few among the countless idiots who live in Tingen.'
As it turned out, Max's words had considerably influenced Klein, but his warning about trying to escape had also affected him greatly, ending up just further pushing Klein on the path to uncover the mysteries regarding Mr. Z, the Antigonus Family notebook, the Red chimney, Tingen City, and this world as a whole.

I hope everyone likes the pace of the story. It is not too slow like the original cause I am not that good at writing, and nor is it too fast just skipping over everything. I am gradually adding changes to the original storyline, and soon the largest change of all will be introduced. though it should not affect the main plot too much, it will have major implications for Max's future. Plus, after the first volume of the original is where the timelines will begin to diverge, since Max needs at least the first Volume to play out as it is supposed to for him to advance.
