Fools no more!

Chapter 7

 Walking down the hallways, Axel mind linked to his Beta that he wanted to talk alone with Eleanor and Collins obliged, going ahead to do pack duties.

 Eleanor didn't spare him a glance, as he walked beside her, she came out of the pack's house and didn't even bother with the stares of the pack members, as they both walked to his penthouse and came outside of it.

"Let me drop you off" Axel managed to say, after a long silence.

He wondered what was going through her mind.

 "Don't bother," she replied icily.

 "Don't try to treat me nice also" she said, facing him

 "If there's any special superpower i have right now, it's knowing the future" she said, as she walked off, leaving him behind.

 Axel sat sadly near his bed with a bottle of Scotch whiskey, his conscience pricked him to the extreme at the thought of what he had done. One thing he would have wished for right now was not to be reborn. The Luna was said to have punished him for a thousand years, that's why he must have felt so lonely all this while.

 The door slowly creaked open to reveal Collins, who held a blue bottle of gin, he was as devasted as him. He slowly walked up to his Alpha and sat beside him, opening the drink. Only them understood the silence, only them shared the pain.

"I'm….sorry" Collins said, finally breaking the silence

 Axel dranked a whole lot from his bottle at once and looked at his Beta who was at the verge of tears.

"It's not your fault, I drove all of you into doing what you did, I'm the greatest fool at here" he said and scoffed.

"LEXTON pack will be weak without it's Luna" he said again, sadly.

"What are you going to do?" He asked his Beta.

 Collins understood at once, his Alpha was talking about Revenant, his mate.

"What about you, what are going to do?" He shot back

"I'm going to follow Eleanor to the end of the world even if it means dying, just to show her how sorry and serious I am, I will take care of the pack with all of my life and won't mind taking a fall for it" he answered

"I will change Collins, I will do better" he said with tears threatening to fall.

 Collins saw the sincerity in his eye and knew he had to come to a valid conclusion, for the betterment of everyone. The only thing that matters is the pack and nothing else, they all swore to protect their pack with their lives and his Alpha's words just reminded him of his Allegiance.

"I'm going to reject her as my mate" he stated.

"What?" Alpha Axel, asked shocked

"She has already started what she was doing in the past life, she lied that you took advantage of her and I now know, that never happened. she was the one pushing herself to you" he said firmly

"She's still your mat…" Axel tried saying 

"I'm done trying to babysit anyone, everything I do from now on is for the pack and nothing else, we must get our Luna back!" Collins said with a death glare, as he gulped his drink.

 It wasn't going to be easy to reject his mate, since he is attracted to her, but he has to and he promise to do everything right from now on.

"For the pack" Alpha Axel said, raising his bottle and Collins did same too

"For the pack" he said, as they both hit the bottles and gulped down the hot liquid.

Eleanor got home to see Revenant watching a TV show with popcorn, she was dressed up like she was about going somewhere, with her legs crossed, laughing out loud.

"Hey sis, where have you been? I called your phone but it was ontop of the table ringing, you were no where to be found" Revenant asked, feigning worriedness,as she stood up to examine her.

 She claimed to be looking for her but here she is eating and laughing, way to go revenant, she really thinks she is a fool to believe her fakeness.

"I'm fine, just went to have some fun" she replied climbing the stairs, deciding to play along.

"Really, did you meet your mate?" Revenant asked, folding her hands.

"Of course not, I don't like him" Eleanor said and revenant gasped.

"Why?" She asked.

"I'm drained okay, we will talk later" Eleanor answered lazily.

"Well, I wanted to tell you, I'm going to dad's office!" Revenant shouted

"I hope she heard me" she muttered mockily, picking her bag and heading to her dad's company.

 After her mother died and Eleanor was adopted, she had to pretend to love her, she wanted everything she had and wanted everything she didn't, back when they were younger she did a lot of bad things to her that she thought Eleanor wasn't aware of, one time, she even framed her, just to feel good about herself.

 On getting to her dad's company, she was allowed in like a princess unlike the sour reception she got from Axel's.

 She got to her dad's office and met him, going through some documents.

"Hey daddy" she greeted

 Mr Stevens was excited to see his daughter, as they shared a warm hug.

"How is Eleanor?"

"Oh, she's fine" she said, taking a sit opposite him.

"Daddy, i want to tell you something" revenant said, crossing her legs, looking serious.

"What is it dear?" He asked, curiously.

"So, Eleanor and I found our mates" she said, dropping the news

"What? That's great news" her father said more excited 

"No, it isn't. You know how I have always wanted to be an Alpha. Eleanor's mate is an Alpha and mine is just a Beta, way below my standards and what I really want" she said and her father's face dropped

"What do you want to do about it, honey?" He asked, she tucked her long hair and smiled at him

"I want him, his power mostly. I just found out he is the Alpha of LEXTON pack, the one with special power genes flowing in their veins, if I become their Luna and then the Alpha, I will attain overpowered superpowers, that way, I can bring mum back" she ended sadly.

"Revenant" he called

"Dad, are you supporting me or not?" She asked

 He looked at her then smiled narrowly

"I will do anything for you" he said and she sighed, giving him her best smile.

"Thank you daddy, this is why we get along so well"

"We will rule this world together…"
