Chapter 3 : The incipit (2)

After opening the door Seoul, was revealed.

Someone had let out a groan, a groan that must have been accompanied by both relief and surprise.

The landscape before them was no longer the Seoul they knew.  Flames, destroyed houses, collapsed bridges and a fog covering the whole country.  This is what the new Seoul looked like.

"I have to go back home quickly!" Said Daebon to Eva

"It's too dangerous alone, I'll go with you!"

Surprised at first at her answer, he thanked her with a smile.

Daebon then walked towards the villa complex where he lived.

But an unexpected situation made him present.

Young Daebon's jaw dropped in shock.

His apartment was completely ruined.

"It was predictable..."

He had no time to be depressed about his fate.  Eva told him of a danger.

A little further away, two people were fighting.  It was Shin Lee as well as a jackal personified.

"Again, that sound is still echoing in my head," said Shin Lee.

"Anyway, I don't have time to rest, I'm going to give you a party!"

"Oh really, you think so?"

The jackal in front of him had black fur.  He was skinny, but for all that, he gave off a super-powerful aura.

Saejin, who was standing there, hid behind some debris.

"Alright, come to me!"

He pulled out a sword and aimed it straight at his opponent.

But it took him no effort to dodge the attack.

"Saejin can you tell me more about him?"

"Sorry Shin, there is no information coming to me"

"Pay more attention to our fight"

The jackal lunged at Shin and slashed at him.  Shin screamed in pain, no one could save him.

"Daebon we have to help him... agh"

"Why can't I control my body?  Why don't I dare to stand up and save him?"

Daebon and her friend felt the same pain, a pain that prevented them from acting.

It was then that Shin took the final blow.  He looked around before fainting.

"Shiiiiiin!"

Shin was dragged away and there was nothing anyone could do.

"Come back here bat***!"  Daebon shouted.

Saejin reaches out to stop him from trying anything.

"Why are you holding me back?  They took your friend away!"

"I know, but there's nothing we can do right now."

Daebon was surprised at the reaction.  He didn't know much about them, but he had seen enough to know that they were pretty close.

"How dare you say that after what they did to your buddy?"

"Just...  Don't try too hard to try things, you're just a side character..."

"What?"
