Chapter 4 : Awareness

Daebon was both surprised and speechless at Saejin's remark.

"What are you telling me and who are you exactly?"

"My name is Saejin, but that's not the point, I'm just telling you that there was no point in thinking about saving him since you won't."

"Who says I won't?"

"It was written."

This Saejin was really intriguing him.  These questions didn't make too much sense to Daebon.  So it caused him to feel angry, which was noticeable on his face.

"You're pissing me off!"

"And why is that?"

"Because you're making it clear that I have no free will, as if my whole life is already written."

It was then that Saejin pointed to his phone screen where the script of the story was displayed.

"What's that" Daebon replied cheekily

"The script"

He had only read a few lines, but he already understood that everything written was what really happened.

"That's when Saejin showed his screen..."

""What's that?" cheekily replied Daebon"

""The scenario" replied Saejin"

"Daebon sees the scenario and recognizes the lines..."

Daebon pushed the phone violently, as if he didn't want to know his fate.

"Impossible, it's like I'm the character in a movie or a book."

"You are indeed the character in a book"

"Maybe, but I don't know my role"

"This is just a detail, besides that you are just a secondary character this scene only allows the"Spectators" to know that the fate of all"Characters" is already defined"

"Spectator", "Character" why did his words seem important to him?

"What is a"Spectator"?"

The Spectators.  They were very mysterious beings.  But their purpose was to watch this story.

"What is this voice echoing in my head?  I've been hearing it for several times now."

"I hear it too" said Eva

"That voice is the"Narrator"the intermediary between the story and the "Spectators""

"There!  That question I just asked, it surely wasn't anticipated"

"Think again."

Saejin showed him the script on his phone.

""What's a 'Spectator'?"  Asked Daebon"

"So you're saying that we're characters in a novel?"

"Yes."

"How do you know that?"

Saejin didn't answer the question.  It was still too early to reveal his identity.

「Spectator: Sky Moon

You don't want to reveal yourself Saejin, but who's to say that the script wants your identity to remain a secret?    」

Saejin understood that a"Spectator"had sent him a message.

Despite everything Daebon, was convinced that he could change his fate.

"There must be a way to change the scenario!"

"No, it's impossible to change your destiny, it's already written"

"What are you trying to make me understand"

"I am trying to make you understand your role as a secondary character"

"Except that I don't want that role, I want to be useful!"

"Anyway, our scene ends here..."

"What?"

All of a sudden a light blurred the landscape and obliterated the whole scene.

Chapter 2 was about to begin.

"It's all over Shin Lee, the time of your death is approaching.

A wave of monster came towards me, I could only rely on myself.

I responded to his provocation with a mischievous smile, "I will not die!"
