Chapter 2 - The Day

Walking down the streets, Izuku and Kendo went there to spend some time with each other. They arrived at the arcade to play some games. 

He exchanged coins and won a few prizes for Itsuka who enjoyed spending time with him and had the time to express her feelings.

"Here you go, Itsuka. Hope you like it."

Izuku was able to win at the crane game that was scammed by how they manufactured and exploited its weakness from his clear understanding of machinery.

He had been building a few minor things at his home workshop that were small devices but still useful. The only thing he's been trying to research is a renewable power source called Arc Reactor.

It was still in development but once he succeeded would have a breakthrough in the world's technology.

"Thank you, Izu-san."

She smiled while embracing the teddy bear. Seeing her reaction made Izuku smile then surprised when the young girl kissed him on the cheek. 

Itsuka blushed for her action then looked at the frozen izuku before giggling. Izuku, despite his self-esteem, is still prone to blush when it comes to women.

"Hehehe take that as thanks for this."

"I-I see, *cough* Anyway, it's still a long day. So is there something you want to do?"

"Nothing, though I've been meaning to ask if you are still planning on going to UA?"

"I am. I will be a hero that everyone needs."

"But you don't have a quirk."

This made the atmosphere grow heavy causing Izuku to frown, understanding her fears on how society would react to his dream. He was mature enough about how people's views are and how difficult it is to change them.

Itsuka only wanted him to not face another wave of ridicule from the people. She did not want him to get hurt in the end.

"Itsuka, it will be fine. Even if I have a quirk or not, my decision will be the same. I've worked hard and giving up now would mean that all that hard work is pointless."

"....that is why I love you.'

"Sorry, what was that?"

"N-Nothing, I said that's why you're Izuku. The Jade Emperor."

"Oh come on don't use that nickname. I'm not too fond of it."

The Jade Emperor was a moniker that people who have seen him fight in the Martial Art tournament. Izumi had shoulder-length green hair that originated from the name of the Jade Emperor. 

He dislikes the name for some reason and prefers to be called something else. Seeing her reaction made Itsuka laugh her heart out.

"Hahaha oh come on, it suits you."

"Bleh, you're joking right. Anyway, are you hungry? Why don't we head to my mom's restaurant?"

"Sure, I think Aunt Inko would like me to visit."

The two headed their way to the restaurant that was owned by his mother after investing money to fulfill her dream which allowed her to acquire a large sum of money. 

They went inside and were greeted by the friendly atmosphere where people who recognized him opted to wave at him. The place was jumped back to people who do not have any quirks since some places reject them showing how degraded the society is. 

"Oh, izuku you're early!? If it isn't Itsuka-chan, how're your parents?"

Inko approached them giving a welcoming smile treating Itsuka as her daughter and already noticing how she treats her son. She only remains silent letting everything set its course. 

"They're doing fine, Aunt Inko. I'll let them know that you said hi."

"I take it that you two want to have a meal? Good thing I've saved some dishes."

The two took a seat while his mother brought their meal to their table and began eating until it was time for her to head home.

He went to take her home fearing that something may happen to her if she was alone even though he trusts her skills in fighting and still dislikes the thought. 

Above the sky, an ominous dark cloud gradually formed that would seem to pour heavy rain soon. He observed the sky trying to know why there was a coming rainstorm when they shouldn't be.

"You know I could go home by myself right?"

He was disrupted by Itsuka's comment even though she was delighted to be beside him. 

"I know but I feel calmer knowing you got home safely."

Hearing his words made her blush much to the confusion of the former. He was a bit oblivious when it came to a woman's feelings for him.  

He was straightforward and always told what's in his mind even though it might get misinterpreted. 

"...Izuku, once you become a hero what do you plan on doing?"

"Hmm I didn't think that far….maybe retire or find a successor."

"A successor?"

"Yeah, I know that even All might need someone to inherit his will. I can't live forever or do it repeatedly."

"Is that so? How about starting a family?"

"A family huh? Maybe but that's still far in the future."

He thought hard knowing that it would be difficult to be a hero while having a family at the same time. Moments later, the two arrive at Itsuka's home.

"Well see you tomorrow, Izu-san"

"Same here, Itsu-Chan."

Izuku waves his goodbye before heading back home where he arrived at a small property where his house is located. He went inside where the cozy atmosphere greeted him. 

"Gideon, how is the process of the Arc Reaction reacting with the particle accelerator?"

[Currently at 90% complete and at synchronizing. By calculation, the incoming storm would greatly help with the energy output needed to complete.]

Gideon, a hyper-intelligent supercomputer that he made 2 years ago when he was 12. It assisted him in developing tech and researching many theories. The wide array of information that his computer was able to access was no laughing matter. 

He could easily have the power to hack government information and reveal it to the public but Izuku was not that kind of person and opted to use it in developing gadgets.

Izuku nodded and went straight to his workshop where a large selection of machinery and chemicals was displayed. It was his personal lab and workshop. 

Changing his clothes into a more casual shirt that hugged tightly to his ripped body and cargo pants while eating a slice of pizza.

"Gideon, can you play "back in black" for me."

Music began as Izuku started his work by building the small arc reactor that is connected to the particle accelerator in which theory builds immense renewal energy. 

Creating it would help him charge weaponry that he planned on making. He was inspired by old comic superheroes before the era of quirks. 

Meanwhile outside the storm grew closer and resounded a thundering roar creating unique lightning while no one would be able to notice as the white streak moved past the city faster than the speed of light.

Back to Izuku, he engrossed himself in analyzing the computer to see any variable that would negatively affect his experiment. 

"Current energy flow….check...Power output….check….Everything is going smoothly from my calculation."

He muttered to himself and laid back on his check while waiting for the incoming lightning from the storm to come.

"Oh crap! I hadn't set the antenna!"

Izuku curse immediately moves to raise the metal rod that would allow the lightning bolt to strike. He is unable to do it automatically and finds an issue that he misses. 

He manually raised the antenna in hope of not getting struck by lightning. Unfortunately, the moment he raised the pole the storm had turned violent like the god of thunder raging at the sky. 

"What!?"

Izuku was baffled when the vials of chemicals began to float along with his machinery. This causes him to fail to react fast enough despite his sharp instincts when it comes to danger.

A white lightning descended from the sky striking Izuku down sensing him flying to a vial of chemicals as he felt the numbing sensation of his body a figure tower over him.

"I need you to become me. Remember, you shall become Savitar, the God of Speed no matter what."

He was unable to make out its appearances only that the creature was enormous and had silver shine. At that moment, he fell into a coma.
