White smoke appeared on the front side of the hall, 17 Shinobi including the infamous Ibiki Morino stood tall with a confident smirk.

Everyone's attention was snatched by them, Sasuke and the others also waited for further announcements.

"Sorry to keep you guys waiting… I'm Ibiki Morino, the examiner for the first test of the Chunin exam"

The majority of the participants gulped at that, Ibiki was a well-known existence throughout the five nations, his torturing methods were unfathomable.

"We will now begin the first part of the Chunin exams. Turn in your written applications, take one of the these seating assignment cards... And report directly to the seat indicated. When everyone's seated, we'll pass out the written part of the test"

When Ibiki was done with the instructions, everyone followed and took their respective seats.

Ibiki also stated about the rules. Basically, even if one of the participants from a group decided to give up/fail the exam, the whole team has to compensate for that, meaning they all lose.

And naturally, cheating would also lead to failure. If they get caught, they will have their marks/points reduced from the answer sheet, if it hits zero then it's game over.

"I'll be looking over your shoulders when you least expect it, heh"

The guy who got his ass handed by Naruto spoke, his smirk still plastered like the previous time.

'Well... Is this supposed to be hard?'

Sasuke thought with a sweat visible on his forehead. To him, it looked like questions from an elementary school.

'Well whatever, the quicker the better'

'Heeeh? What's this? Question No. 10 is kinda interesting'

[Q.10 This question will not be provided until forty-five minutes into the exam. At that time, please answer the proctor's question to the best of your ability]

Sasuke glanced around the room, he noticed the other challengers had already grasped onto the situation. It was an exam to test their info-gathering skills!

'Well, I don't want full marks... They would just take my time by asking stupid questions... Especially Ibiki, he had murdered several kids for info, I am no exception'

With a solid 7 marks, Sasuke slept till the 10th question arrived. Naruto and Sakura were struggling, but managed to get decent marks. Naruto with a 5 and Sakura with a 7.

*Ring*

"Now... Let me explain. This rule... I absolute"

Ibiki stated, his eyes giving off creepy vibes. Whispers and chatter resounded through the exam hall, which was soon shut down by Ibiki's hand to the desk.

"First... You must choose... Whether to accept or reject this tenth question!"

"C-Choose? What happens if someone doesn't accept the question!?"

Temari slammed her hands on the desk, demanding for an answer from Ibiki, she looked a bit anxious.

"If you reject the question and don't answer it, you'll lose all your points immediately... And fail! And both your teammates will fail right along with you"

"Say what!?"

"Then why would anyone choose to reject it!?"

Two random Ninja wannabes shouted at the remark, Ibiki slightly lowered his head in response.

"Because... Of the other rule... If you try to answer the question and you get it wrong, you will never be permitted to apply for the Chunin exams again. Not ever"

Gasps echoed through the hall, this was certainly the worst they could get! Never getting to get past Genin, it was absurd!

"I've been upfront with you. You can take a failing grade now and try again later"

"Huh?"

"Anyone who has doubts would be smart to reject the tenth question right now. Come back and reapply next year and the year after"

The infamous interrogator was smirking as he finished his sentence. The atmosphere inside the exam hall became heavy. Either DO or DIE.

"Ready? Then let's begin. Those who choose not to accept should raise their hands. Once their number has been confirmed, they will leave the room"

Sasuke observed as one after another left the hall. The Uchiha was disappointed, the fewer the challengers, the less the fun.

He let out a purr as he lowered his head to the desk. Naruto and Sakura weren't going to back down either.

Only 78 participants remained, after noticing that nobody was moving, Ibiki decided to call it quits.

"So everyone who's still here... You've just passed the first exam!!!"

The window broke and a woman with purple hair stood in the hallway, the majority of the participants were taken aback by the sudden appearance of a rather... Sexy woman.

"None of you are in any position to celebrate, I'm the second chief examination officer, Anko Mitarashi!! Time's A-Wastin', people, Let's go!!"

"Follow me!!"

This is the arena for the second exam. Training ground 44... Also, known as the Forest of death!!"

All of the present Genin's stared into the forest of death. It had humongous trees and wild wines around them, it looked spooky, to say the least.

All of them were forced to sign consent forms, Konoha would not want to take responsibility for their potential death.

Anko explained the content of the exam.

1. Survival [Ninja weapons allowed]

2. Capture the scroll.

3. Each team would get a Heaven or Earth scroll, if a team can get two of the Heaven and Earth scroll at their disposal by defeating the opposition, and is able to reach the tower in the middle, the team wins.

4. 26 teams with 12 having either heaven and the other 13 having earth scroll. Only half the number of teams would be able to pass.

5. Time Limit: 120 Hours/5 Days.

Naturally, there were arguments and whatnot, but that was quickly shut down by Anko herself. She wasn't the patient type.

The participants were called to collect their team's scrolls. Sasuke and Naruto waited as Sakura went for it.

'A heaven scroll, hei"

The Genin's all gathered in front of the gate, as soon as it was opened, all of them Including team seven rushed inside without hesitation.

"Let's head deeper, quick"

Sakura and Naruto nodded at Sasuke's words, they increased their pace.
