As Laboon, the massive island whale, breached the surface of the sea, Nami couldn't help but scream in shock at the sight. "Whale, whale, whale... a whale as big as a mountain!" she exclaimed.

Erza, holding her magic sword at the ready, looked to Su Yu for orders to attack.

"Wait a moment... wait a moment, Erza. That's the whale Laboon, Grandpa's partner!" Juvia exclaimed, stopping Erza in her tracks.

"President Su Yu, strictly speaking, this isn't my commission, but Laboon's. If possible, please listen to his story," Crocus requested.

Su Yu politely asked Crocus to share the story of Laboon and the Rumba Pirates from fifty years ago. Crocus looked nostalgic as he began to tell the story, which took place in West Blue when Laboon followed a group of pirates.

"Why did it happen that way?"

The story about the whale named Laboon was heard, and the girls with kind hearts couldn't help but feel touched by it.

"Did they leave Laboon behind?" Juvia's eyes became teary, and the previously clear sky seemed a bit gloomy.

"It can't be true!" Crocus disagreed by shaking his head. "Even though I don't know all the details, I believe they didn't break their promise with Laboon but got lost in the Grand Line. This is the situation. When I went to search for them with others at that time, we couldn't find any trace of them. Now that you know this, do you still want to take on this task?" Crocus inquired.

"I'll accept it without hesitation! Why wouldn't I?" Su Yu affirmed confidently.

Nami, on the other hand, frowned with concern and added, "But... there's a possibility that the Rumba Pirates and Laboon might not be there anymore."

Su Yu replied nonchalantly, "So what?"

Su Yu declared with conviction, "A man's promise is for life, even if it means crawling out of the underworld to keep it!"

Erza expressed her eagerness to take on the fifty-year mission, saying "Interesting!"

Mirajan sent the power of attorney to Crocus and asked him to review and sign it.

Crocus didn't hesitate to sign his and Laboon's names, as he was eager to see the promise fulfilled.

But then he remembered something and asked, "By the way, how much will I be paid for this commission? I'm not very wealthy, so please keep it affordable for me."

Su Yu replied with a smile, "Well, you took care of Juvia for two days, which can offset part of the expenses. The rest can be exchanged for other things.

"What would you like in return?"

"It's very simple, I just want the old man to teach the girls!" Su Yu said.

"If it's medical skills, I know a thing or two, that's fine!"

Su Yu disagreed by shaking his head.

"What I'm hoping to learn from the elderly man isn't medicine, but a powerful ability called Haki! It's a combination of strength and knowledge."

"Nani?" Crocus asked in surprise, his eyes widening.

"Ha ha ha! As a former member of the One Piece crew, it wasn't even Haki that I learned!" Su Yu laughed.

Crocus was taken aback by this revelation. Not many people knew about his past with the crew, and even fewer knew about the secrets of Haki. But Su Yu had made it clear in just one sentence.

"Wait a minute, wait a minute, President... are you saying that Mr. Crocus was a crew member of One Piece?" Nami asked in disbelief, her eyes widening in shock.

"Is he the powerful person I mentioned in the last town? His crew must be incredibly strong too!" Erza exclaimed, gripping the hilt of her sword tightly.

Although she wasn't as crazy about fighting as Natsu, she still had a strong desire to battle powerful opponents, especially in this unfamiliar world.

"Stop! You'll get yourself killed!" Crocus suddenly yelled, noticing Erza's intentions, and his entire demeanor shifted.

Just when the girls thought he was going to display his impressive attitude, Crocus added another sentence that caught them off guard.

"I'm going to die!" he exclaimed.

This caused Nami to stagger in disbelief, completely thrown off by Crocus' sudden change in demeanor. The old man in front of them didn't seem to match up with the image of a legendary crew member.

"As I said before, in order to find the Rumba Pirates, I went out to sea with the group for two years. It is indeed Roger's group, but my Haki attainments are only average, and they are completely incomparable with the captain and the others" Crocus explained.

"That's fine. The important thing is to start practicing under the guidance of a master," Su Yu nodded in agreement.

The quickest way to improve your Haki in One Piece is through combat. Even though Luffy trained on Monster Island for two years, his Haki was only at a middle level.
