Starfire Flame

Everyone in the team had their jaws hitting the floor.

"W-w..."

"This..."

Only after some seconds they regained their senses.

"Lad, what did you do!, where is the boss? how do you killed it!?" Ford didn't know how to react.

"Hmm, I used a very valuable item, the boss's curse was also very strong but was reflected" Leroy replied.

"Don't just stand there, resurrect the others" He commanded the Priests, who only then started resurrecting their fallen team members, more than ten had already died in the battle agains the Goblin Knights.

"Well then, let's see the loot" Leroy said and approached the mountain of items. Everyone's eyes started shinning.

"Dark-gold cape, dark-gold boots, bracers, helmet, Penta Slash Skillbook, Aura of Blood Skillbook" Leroy started sorting out the items, they were all at least of dark-gold rank.

"Finally, an Epic Rank dagger, a Epic rank bow, a chest plates, boots, and a Guardian Knight necklace" A total of six epic rank equipment dropped. As he recounted the loot, everyone's jaw dropped once again. Two Epic Rank weapons! Each would cost more than 2,500 Gold Coins. There was even a necklace, jewelry equpiment was even more valuable than weapons of the same rank. All in all, these items would fetch about 20,000 Gold Coins on the market, yet only a fool would sell them.

"Jr, the Bow is yours, the Dagger goes to Mark, Olympus you take the necklace... Ford, you know the team better, distribute the rest as you seem fit" Leroy gave the two weapons to the strongest members, it was a pity that none of them were suitable for Robb, as he was part of his own team.

"Should I keep and distribute them later?" Ford wasn't sure.

"No, distribute them with the members here, the others didn't want to come from the start, so they missed their chance. Everyone get the best items here, the rest will go to the Guild Bank to be exchangable for contribution points." Leroy instructed, altough it would be good to have the strongest members to use the best equipment, those who didn't participate shouldn't have priority according to Leroy.

This statement inmediatly gained voices of approval amongs the team members, other guilds would save the best equipment for their strongest players, instead he distributed it among the present ones without considering that and only focusing on contribution in battle.

"Good, you seem to be maturing" Ford also praised, this was different from what others including himself would do.

Among the drop, there were also two forging desings and two potion recipes.

Cursed Goblin Sword Forging Design

Starfire Potion Recipe

Use to learn to craft Starfire Potion.

Permanently increase player's attributes by 2%.

Permanently increase player's fire resistance by 25 points.

Can only be crafted with Starfire

All of them were precious items, the Thunder Set Equipment Forging Design would be unvaluable for any guild, if a guild could equip their main forces with a dark gold set, they would be unstoppable.

The Cursed Goblin Sword, altough less valuable, was definetly a greatly valued Forging Design.

But to Leroy, the most valuable were definetly the two potions recipe.

Potions, different from equipment, would always prove to be useful. Warlock Thirst Potion would definetly reach a high price in the market, as for the Starfire Potion... those were the kind of potions that all guilds in a kingdom would go war for, it would be useful forever, it's value simply impossible to estimate.

Leroy took both recipes and learn both of them, wouldn't let these items fall in others hand. He also took the Forging Designs and would let Old Pat decide who would learn them.

There were hundreds of dark gold materials and a dozen of epic rank forging materials, it was really a bountiful reward, maybe for being the first Great Lord, or maybe because of the particular circumstances of White Fog Canyon.

He took all the materials, and distrubuted the rest of the equipment, even if the players in the team didn't have a use for them, they could still put them in the Guild Bank and trade them for contribution points from other guild members, or sell them outside the guild, Leroy didn't care.

'Now...' Leroy looked at the Lamp that previously the Warlock used to increase his power...

He picked up the Lamp, and a system notification sounded.

System: Do you wish to bind the Starfire Flame as your personal Mysterious Flame?

Sweat appeared on Leroy's face as the flame, despite being contained inside the lamp, the flame still radiated great heat.

'To bind it? Can I carry this flame with me?' Leroy tought contemplatng the flame who seemed to have life of it's own.

He choose to bind it, what could go wrong?.

The moment he did so, the flame shone with blinding silver light and rushed out of the lamp, sorrounding his body.

Leroy inmediatly felt the scorching flames burning his skin and muscles. And a loading bar appeared.

Succesfully fused 1%... 2%

The flame increased 1% every five seconds while the pain growed stronger and stronger.

When the process reached 62%, Leroy found it hard to endure, he called the system and tried to lower his pain perception.

System: During the fusion process of the Starfire Flame, if pain perception falls below 85%, fusion will fail and caused a fixed amount of damage to the player. Are you sure you want to turn off the pain system?

'F...' Leroy cursed and choose not to, "Fixed amount of damage" might as well be permanent damage to his account. He could only grit his teeths and endure, he was definetly not renown by his willpower but had no choice. 'I've been through harder things' He tried to keep his calm.

After what felt like an eternity and half, the pain disappeared and a notification sounded again.

System: The Starfire Flame has been bound as Player Sensation's personal belonging.

System: Fusion of the Starfire Flame completed. After withstanding the tempering of the Starfire Flame, player's physique has impvoed considerably.

All attributes +85, Physique +15%, Reaction Speed +15%, Perception +20%, Fire Resistance +100. Able to fully control the Starfire Flame.

Leroy was surprised, so many attribute points! and resistances points where known to be very hard to obtain, yet he now got 100 points.

'Starfire Flame' with a tougth, a brigth silver flame appeared in his hand. The flame behavied like it had life on his own around the palm of his hand.

'This is similar to Fire Essences in the higher realms...' He guessed the nature of the flame.

Starfire Flame (Tier 4 Mysterious Flame)

Can be used in battle to increase magic damage by 65%

Increase spell's speed by 45%

Increase summoned creatures attributes by 350 points and 20%.

When using the flame for crafting, success rate +25%

"So strong" He gasped at the attributes of the flame. Altough fusing with it was a torment no lower than jumping into a pit of fire, the rewards where equally outstanding. Luckily the goblin didn't fuse with the flame, else he and his minions would be far stronger.

"Hmm, you finally eat the fire of that lamp?" Robb asked him, they saw Leroy struggling with the pain from the flames for a while now but couldn't even get close as the pressure and heat of the flames quickly drained their hp.

"Yeah, it's done haha, it actually took me by surprise" Leroy laughed awkwardly.

"It's good that you are alright. We are returning to Star-Moon City, this place seems to be close to collapse so we should at least get out of here" Robb told him, actually everyone else was outside the Shrine already.

"Alright let's get moving, Robb" he replied and followed Robb. 'This is definetly a type of Fire Essence' He didn't understand how the mysterious flame could be so similar to the Fire Essences but quickly stopped thinking about it, maybe in the future he would find out.

"You are out, are you ready yet? This time quite the storm was caused by us buahahaha" Ford laughed with a loud voice not fit for an old man and everyone followed, their pride was on cloud nine and everytime they look at Leroy their eyes only had admiration on them.

Through this time not only did he prove to be an expert player, but on the fight against the Great Lord Boss, he displayed martial techniques far above their own, only those more experienced on the group recognized him as a Void Realm expert, and so young at that...

"Yeah, hold on a second" Leroy turned and looked at the shrine. A heavy aura appeared on his body and silver-black mana condensed at his side as a spear appeared, space around craked as gray hairs of mana floated around.

The Starfire Flame even changed the color of his spells when fused with them.

With a wave of his hand, the spear disappeared and appeared close to the shrine's pillars.

Bloom! The sound of huge explosion almost two times stronger than before sounded followed by the collapse of the shrine.

"Now, let's go"

Everyone's mouth twitched at this sight, 'These brat grew so much stronger now, it is definetly that fire he eat'

As all of this was happening in the Shrine. Star-Moon Kingdom was sent onto an uproar.

A Level 30 Great Lord, Anubis Gatekeeper, was massacrating unholy amounts of players in the outer parts of White Fog Canyon, and now, when everyone tought that Great Lords were simply invincible to current players, a Guild actually managed to kill one.

"Raven Sanctuary is just too awesome, not even thousands of players managed to get stand against a Great Lord"

"How could the difference be so big? This is ridiculous"

"Raven Sanctuary!" Those guilds with grudges were filled with frustration and now desperation. The guild they previously competed against now probably obtained high amount of top equipment and maybe even epic items, one could simply imagine the loot of a Great Lord from how hard it was to kill.

"Try to contact Girof, we must try to cooperate with Raven Sanctuary"

Some guilds were filled with regret, others doing their best to cooperate with this new monster while others just tried to just avoid offending them.

"This won't do, I need to join them, they surely have many awesome equipment"

"Heh, brother, with our standards we might be elites in first rate guilds but... aah just give up"

Independent players and Adventure Teams were also triggered by the announcement. The scene of the Anubis Gatekeeper slaughtering players were fresh in their minds, they knew how strong a Great Lord was.

'How? A Tier 3 Supression Array?...' In Zero Wing's Guild Residence, Shi Feng also wondered how they managed to kill a Great Lord.

But news continued to arrive

"Oh my god, an assasin went to White Fog Canyon and reported that the Ruined Shrine was literally left in ruins"

"That must be Raven Sanctuary's doing"

Knowing that the Great Lord killed was the one that various large guilds failed to kill togheter, made the guild prestige increase.

Even the NPCs were talking about Raven Sanctuary and the guild popularity amongst them increased, not only the Guild Master was a Count and had saved the Grand Duke's daughter, but the guild was actually this capable. Noble npc's started preparing to comission quests at the Guild Residence.

"If only had I joined before..." Raven Sanctuary members who left eartly and choose not to remain in White Fog Canyon also regretted their decision. Not long after the team who killed the Great Lord arrived, they started showing off their full Dark-Gold equipment and even some Epic Rank ones, new powerfull skills also gained the envy of many members.

Inside the Guild Residence, Leroy met with six people.
