"It's going to be okay… Don't worry about me…" Rose whispered as she read through Ryan's uneasiness.

He was indeed troubled but how could he not? Based on the explanation, Rose could only be with him if she became a Pure Vampire. His only reassurance was the fact that his grandma wouldn't be so bent on making Rose her successor if she didn't have a plan. There was no way the family would let a Half-Vampire rule them, right?

"Do you think you have the Vampire Gene as well?" Ryan asked as he embraced her. "My grandma wouldn't be so interested in you otherwise."

"Mhmm, I think I do," Rose nodded, showing a comforting smile. "Do you remember when I told you that I could feel you when we met? I felt as if you are someone familiar and I ran in your direction. I can still feel it. What if it's that Vampire Gene?"

"Then why couldn't I feel it?" Ryan questioned but Rose gave him a quick answer, "Maybe because each Vampire shows different signs while growing up? I doubt every Vampire had the same symptoms as you."

"Hmm, I hope that's true…" Ryan muttered, feeling much better after thinking it over.

If Rose became a Pure Vampire, they would be able to live forever together. Even if some would say it was weird, he couldn't help but look forward to it.

"Will you be happy if I become a Vampire too?" Rose asked playfully as she rubbed their noses together but she didn't seem to expect a sudden attack.

Mhmm!

Ryan locked his lips with hers and dropped on the bed while hugging her firmly. He wouldn't miss such a good moment to claim a kiss from her.

"I would be very happy…" Ryan replied and dropped down for another session, but Rose stopped him, asking as she looked around the room, "Are you sure he is gone?"

Realizing she meant his grandma's guard, Ryan smiled and assured, "Don't worry, he is gone, but even if he is not, let's show him how it's done."

"But—" Rose tried to protest but he was quicker, shamelessly blocking her lips as he demanded her sweet treatment.

Although she reacted with the same, responding to each bite with her own, Ryan felt her nails stab him on the back. He knew she was punishing him for being so hot-headed but didn't stop, hungrily seizing her body from her chest all the way to her thighs before squeezing them passionately.

She was only wearing her underwear below the jumper so he quickly got access to her bare skin. Rose scratched his back with frustration but eventually gave up, wrapping her legs around his waist to hold him down and decided to enjoy it instead.

Ah…

She called out softly when he broke the line of her teeth which made him even hungrier for her, sucking and exploring the moist space within her mouth. He was so engrossed in their kiss that he didn't notice that both of his fangs started to grow.

"Au!" Rose suddenly called out in pain, pulling him away. "My tongue…"

She displayed her tongue and he saw a small cut at the side, blood dripping onto her mouth. Ryan's eyes immediately sharpened and his pupils turned blood red. He didn't hesitate and dropped down, sucking on her bloodied tongue while licking the cut.

Mhmm!

Rose exclaimed in surprise but soon she calmed down, letting him do what she wanted as if knowing she couldn't stop him. A moment later, he pulled away and stared at her eyes while licking his lips.

"It was delicious…" Ryan muttered softly, looking for more on instinct. "The cut was too small and healed quickly."

"Do you want more then…?" Rose shyly proposed while pulling on the white jumper which revealed her collarbone but Ryan shook his head, "No need. This little treat was enough."

Ryan closed his eyes and upon reopening, they were back to blue. He didn't have any problems with controlling his desires anymore which was great. There wouldn't be a situation where he hurts someone by accident.

Rose smiled proudly but still reminded him while caressing his cheek, "Tell me when you feel hungry, okay? I really don't mind. I'm here for you."

"Mhmm, I will," Ryan nodded, not lying to himself. As much as he didn't want to weaken Rose like this, he didn't have a choice.

Everyone had to eat, Vampires included.

"How about we start to pack? Our parents can finish talking at any moment," Rose suggested and he activated his advanced hearing to check on it.

To his surprise, he didn't hear anything.

He picked Rose up, placing her on the floor and walked to the doors, opening them ever so slightly to hear better but he only heard a soft murmur coming from what looked like her father's office.

"Does your father have a soundproof system in his office?" Ryan asked, guessing the reason.

"He does. Why? You can't hear them? They might still be talking then."

Ryan gave up and closed the door, moving on with the schedule, "Let's pack then. How can I help you?"

"Help me?" Rose said with a smirk and grabbed his wrists, sitting him on the edge of the bed. "You can help me by sitting like a good boyfriend and not destroying anything. I will be more efficient without your help."

"Au… That hurt…" Ryan muttered as he grabbed his chest, pretending he got shot. "I'm a good helper, okay? You made me sad."

"Good helper, huh?" Rose asked back with her face full of doubt and pulled out a massive suitcase from under the bed. "Do you promise you won't touch, grope and kiss me while we pack?"

"Oof…" Ryan gasped and gave up, his plan already ruined. "Fine, you win. I will just watch instead."

"Good," Rose nodded happily and rewarded him with a peck on the lips before walking to her closet, checking out her dresses.

"Don't you think this suitcase is too big? How many clothes do you plan to take?" Ryan wondered, realizing the suitcase was probably bigger than he was.

"Did you forget we will be leaving the city in the next few days? I'm thinking of packing all my favorite clothes so I will be ready for it," Rose explained as she threw one dress after another onto the bed.

If they had more time, he would ask her to wear some of them for him but he didn't bring it up.

Instead, he busied himself with chatting as he pointed out, "Your grandpa should be a Pure Vampire as well I guess. Do you think he decided to follow my grandma's idea when she left to see me?"

"That's possible. Maybe he recalled that he has me and decided to speed up the process. They probably know each other if that's the case," Rose replied, picking a bunch of skirts from the hangers. "He decided to come back on Sunday which is surprisingly the same day as your grandma's plan. The only difference is that your grandma came early."

"Do you think your grandpa will be mad that you are with me? He might not be willing to accept us being together. We need to prepare for that," Ryan warned, but Rose didn't seem to care. "There is no need to prepare anything. He has no say in what I do. If I want to be with you, I will."

She didn't let him continue and added, "I just hope that our families don't have any feud with each other but if your grandma wants me to be her successor, there shouldn't be a problem."

Ryan cheered for that wholeheartedly, realizing how complicated it could be.

They didn't know how wrong they were.

While they were packing, back in Miss Elizabeth's villa an elegant lady was standing on the balcony, watching Lisa depart with one of her guards. It was naturally Miss Elizabeth herself.

She carried a white cat in her arms, rubbing it behind its ears when she spotted something coming from the sky.

A black eagle.

It dove down from the sky straight at her but she only smiled.

Swoosh!

The eagle landed on the railing and puff, it turned into a cloud of smoke that later revealed a black-haired teen girl, wearing a long white dress with a loose circle skirt. Her shoulders covered old-styled black jacket and her wavy hair fell all the way down to her waist as if she let them grow for a long time.

When the teen girl opened her eyes, she immediately brightened.

"Emily!" the teen girl called out happily and it was the white cat that reacted first, jumping out of Miss Elizabeth's arms.

Mid-air, the white cat turned into a mist that soon revealed another teen, looking almost identical to the first.

"Isabella!" Emily replied with the same enthusiasm and dove into Isabella's arms.

Both looked like Yin and Yang. One had white hair but a black dress while the other was the opposite, having black hair and a white dress.

The two teens hugged each other happily and giggled, completely ignoring Miss Elizabeth but she seemed to be used to it already.

"Sigh, you two sisters never fail to amaze me," Miss Elizabeth commented as she joined the hug, pulling the two into her chest. "You didn't see each other for only a few hours and you are already like this."

"Hehe," the sisters only giggled before Emily reported, "Auntie, I finished the mission. I successfully led Rose to Ryan's place. I really like Rose, can she stay with us?"

"Of course, she will join our family very soon. Don't worry about it," Miss Elizabeth assured, before asking casually, "Where were you at night? We came to pick you up but you disappeared."

"Oh!" Emily exclaimed cutely, not guilty at all. "I met a few friends on the way and we had lots of fun together! We were jumping on the roofs and racing!"

Isabella didn't seem to like it and scolded her lightly, "Emily, how many times did I tell you not to make random friends with stray cats? We are elegant ladies who shouldn't run around the roofs."

"B-but they were so cute~ I wish I could keep them all, ah~" Emily muttered, not really bothered with the scolding as if she saw that coming.

"It's alright, we are not mad. Just tell us next time so we are not worried about you," Miss Elizabeth said softly and changed the subject, "Listen, I have a new mission for you two. Do you want to go back and play with Rose again?"

"Can I?" Emily asked with a pleading expression and Miss Elizabeth nodded with a smile, "Yes. You can even take Isabella with you."

Emily immediately pleaded, squeezing her sister's hand, "Isabella, please, come with me, it will be fun~"

Too bad, Isabella wasn't that easily tricked and she asked calmly, "What type of mission?"

"Oh, it's nothing much, just some observation," Miss Elizabeth replied and whispered the details into their ears.

"Alright, I will go," Isabella finally agreed after listening to the plan and pulled away.

Puff!

Her slim body covered with a mist and she turned herself into a snow-white owl, flying away immediately.

"Sister, wait!" Emily called out after her in desperation and turned herself into a black eagle, chasing after her.

Miss Elizabeth could only sigh, knowing she couldn't order them to do anything. If they didn't want to do something, she couldn't force them else she would suffer greatly. Only she knew how powerful they were despite looking so cute.

She didn't stay too long on the balcony and instead went back inside the villa. It was extremely quiet but if one pricked up their ears, they would hear a delicate melody coming from the living room.

She followed the music and entered one of the rooms, getting hit by the gentle piano song.

Unfortunately, just as she entered, the music stopped, replaced with the expected nagging.

"How long are you planning to keep me here? I'm already losing my patience. I swear, if you do anything to my granddaughter I will hunt you forever."
