Chapter 45

With a new fund, I can finally buy a more modern tool that I can use to build a bigger tinker tech. Because my current material mining plant is underwater, I want to make an underwater city or at least a complex.

And I'm really lucky, as I hit a jackpot in my tech tree. I got something I am familiar with, Bioshock.

I can now finally build an underwater city like the one in the Bioshock game. The Bioshock game is something that I liked to play in the past, and I want to recreate the city of Rapture. Not one to one size as it will take years to finish, even with the help of Tinker Tech. But rather

"Father, the builder drone is finished."

I look at Elizabeth and smile at her before nodding my head.

"Good job. Can you test it for me? Build a one-floor house with three bedrooms and one bathroom. Then try to double it after deconstructing it."

"Will do."

While Elizabeth is testing the new Constructor Unit Number Ten or C.U.N.T for a short time outside, I stay inside to create the main energy source for this city. If I want to create a bioenergy machine, the Bioshock tech tree is a fantastic tech tree.

I can create a massive Tinker Tech that can mutate a slug into a special slug that I can use to generate an enormous amount of energy. However, I cannot build it just yet because of its massive size. It will take days to complete with my current equipment.

However, with my new construction unit, I can do it before the tech tree changes. For now, I need to create equipment that lets me breathe underwater and make sure my body does not get crushed by underwater pressure.

Why do I need to build this equipment first? Because the habitat for these slugs needed to be underwater and required a certain amount of pressure for them to survive and mutate safely. I need an underwater suit that can handle the pressure and let me breathe safely.

~Sometimes later~

I wipe the sweat out of my forehead and look at my creation with a smile on my face. My creation is a combination of a Prawn Suit from Subnautica and the Bouncer from Bioshock. The overall shape is a Prawn Suit from Subnautica, but the energy generator is coming from the Bioshock tech tree.

The original Prawn Suit blueprint needs a battery, but after I get the Bioshock tech tree, I can create a small energy generator that does not produce much heat meaning that I can use it as an energy source for my Prawn Suit.

"Now, we can start the project."

|3rd POV|

The device is working like a charm, Ozpin thought while sipping his coffee. James Ironwood already sent him a report saying that his special troops had already tested it, and they were able to punch through the Black Zone.

Black Zone is the area where Humanity and Faunus cannot get into. There are a few Black Zones in each Kingdom. Atlas Kingdom's Black Zone is located in the northern part of the continent.

This area is not only filled with thick snow but also a very powerful Grimm who grows in power over time.

This special group of troops manages to punch through the Black Zone and manage to create a small base not too far away from the safe zone. The members of this special group did not have any aura, and they did not bring a high concentration of dust with them.

The only weapon they bring is Angelo's Shield Generation device and a close combat weapon like sword or dagger. All of them did not use any dust.

They only bring a small amount of low concentration dust with them to use the communication system.

However, reaching this place is not an easy task. They need to fight against a horde of Grimm. If not for the shield device, they will now be dead and cannot create the base. The shield device is just like what Angelo said. It can take a high-level attack a couple of times before breaking.

It was enough to let them run away or think about the next strategy they needed to use to fight the horde of Grimm coming at them. There were three casualties and twelve heavily injured personnel, but it was massive progress.

In the past, they could not punch through the Black Zone to establish a base inside the Black Zone without getting wiped out by the Grimm.

With the proof in front of him, Ozpin wants to create a group of people who can do the same thing. However, he encountered one problem.

"Where in the hell do I get those people from? The current army of Vale is like a bunch of babies holding a gun!"

Ozpin still remembers the disaster that happened not too long ago. How the army who look so mighty with their shiny armor march toward a horde of Grimm but get massacred. They have been trained with the basics, he will not call them basic if he can help it, but he will not trust them to infiltrate the Black Zone.

The only thing he can do is to put a mission on the hunter guild but doing so, it defeats the main point of infiltration because Aura is like a bright neon light pointed at you if you decide to do an infiltration to the area infested with Grimm.

The only thing he can think of right now is to send a group of hunters to thin out the Grimm and slowly push them back, but it was not a very good strategy. Ozpin really wants Lie Ren to finish his studies because his semblance is something extraordinary in this world.

An ability to mask your negative emotion in the world where the largest species is a negative emotion monster? That is something many people want. What Ren did not know is that not only does his semblance hide his negative emotion but also hides his Aura to Grimm. It was a perfect Anti-Grimm presence concealment power.

*DING*

Ozpin snaps from his thoughts when he hears the elevator open up. He can see Glynda walk toward him with another stack of paper. Ozpin sighs a little at the sight of his greatest nemesis; no, it was not Salem but rather paperwork.

He is convinced that the God of Darkness creates paperwork to punish humanity.

"Sir, this is a new mission that needs your approval."

"I see. Thank you, Glynda. I will look at them."

Usually, a mission will be given to the Hunter Guild, but some high-ranking or personal mission needs to go through his approval. A mission like transporting a large amount of dust or a mission where the client wants a trusted hunter that will not tell others about their secret.

"Sketchy escort mission, dodgy transport mission…. Oh? What is this?"

Ozpin takes out a piece of paper that catches his attention. It was a mission coming from Angelo.

"Testing a new weapon and vehicle, huh?"

Ozpin takes the blueprint that was given to him by Angelo before widening his eyes.

"A weapon that did not need dust to function?!"

A weapon that does not need to function is something that many scientists try to crack, but they cannot do that. There is some progress and some finished products, but it was not strong enough to kill a Grimm.

Not only that, with the combination of the pressure from all the largest dust companies, the research is stopped.

"Also a vehicle that works in all-terrain? I wonder what kind of face James will make when he hears about this. Heh. I can't wait to see it."
