Chapter 2: Getting Ready to Rumble

'Home, sweet home', I muttered to myself as I settled in my room at the Novak estate. 

I had just finished unpacking my stuff when there was a knock at the door. I turned around to find the duke leaning against the door frame and looking at me expectantly.

'Hey', I told him and waved him inside.

'We should talk about the next few weeks', the duke said as he sat on my bed and gestured for me to join him.

And just like that, we were back to our old ways.

'The press is currently having a field day smearing your name, but I don't want you to let any of that affect you', he said as he looked me straight in the eye.

'Easier said than done', I said as I shifted uneasily in my place.
