Chapter 4

Jennifer point of view]

I felt my skin peeling off as I burned from the mad lady throwing me with coffee. But in the mist of the chaos, some guy pulled up with a damn gun.

"Get in the car bitch!" He said to Rosé.

I took a step closer to her and he pointed the gun at me, "you get in the car and leave." I wanted to grab my own gun but the situation was too dangerous.

Rose looks at me in horror. "Don't you dare leave me with this psycho!"

"I won't go!"

I didn't know what to do. I knew Rose had to survive this.

"Jennifer call my father-"

The kidnaper who didn't even bother hiding his face knocked her out by hitting the back of her head.

I run to grab my gun so I can save her.

He turns to me and fires a shot not even hesitating. I felt a burning sensation in my leg. Looking at it I realized I was shot and immediately dropped to the ground.

"I told you to leave." He says as he threw Rose in the car.  I realized that she truly was in danger...

"Stop! You're making a huge mistake!"

"Be thankful I'm not in the mood to hurt anyone today." he coldly says as he got back to his car.

I waited for him to drive away before crawling to call for help. I took my phone from the car, "Mr Parks!"

"Jennifer, did Rose misbehave again?"

Her dad had hired me to report everything she did and to keep her safe but I failed...

"No. She's been kidnapped."

"What the hell do you mean?! Jennifer I hired you-"

"I know sir, I'll track her down and bring her back safely."

He hangs up and I look at my bleeding leg. "Just because I'm your daughter from your mistress, doesn't mean I don't deserve love...father."

Author pov]

Rider tied up the woman in his trunk and placed tape over her mouth.

"We're going for a long ride, I don't want to see your stupid face, or hear your stupid voice."

He shuts the trunk and gets into the car playing loud music, she was still unconscious so the ride to His hideout. wouldn't be quite.

"Nathaniel I got her." He says over the phone.

The older man chuckles. "Lex will be pissed that you stole his target."

"Well, untill we find out why he's been stalking a stupid heiress, we'll keep her with us."

"Okay drive back safely."

Rider hangs up starting the engine.

"Say goodbye to New York."

The next day}

Eric looked at his future father in law in horror. He had barged in his office with a gun pointed at him which left eric stunned.

After calming down they went to speak at Mr Parks house.

"Has this jerk not confessed yet?" Daniel yells. He was Roses other brother.

"No of course I have nothing to do with her kidnapping!"

He looks at Jennifer and realized she's hurt. "So you mean rose was seriously taken by some mafia guys?" "Why didnt you ask liam?"

"I have nothing to do with my little sister's disappearance!" Rose 's older brother Liam yells in anger.

Julia stood beside her husband Mr parks holding his arm. "We'll find her darling calm down."

"I swear, that I'm just as surprised as everyone, we know nothing about this!" Mr Ryans senior(Eric's dad) says. "Mr Parks you know we have been friends for over 30 years, I wouldn't dream of harming your Daughter."

Jennifer rolls her eyes as she catches eric looking at her with worried eyes.

"I will announce my daughter's kidnapping and if she's not returned to me within 48 hours, all hell shall break loose."

Mr Parks walks off angry followed by Julia trying to cling onto him.

Jennifer was about to follow them when Eric took her wrist. "Are you okay, does it hurt?"

She yanks her arm away. "I'm fine, your focus should only be on finding Rose, your fiancè."

"But I'm worried about you-"

"I'm fine. So don't worry yourself... I'll be okay."

Her phone rings before he could say anything else. "Hello?"

"Jennifer it's Charlie."

Her eyes widen and she rushes out of the mansion.

"Yes Mr Charlie?"

"Tell me ...tell me it's not true, my Rose isn't kidnapped!"

She holds back tears, "I'm sorry... she's...gone...I was shot so I couldn't do much..."

"...we need to talk face to face...I need to find her."

"Okay..."

Jennifer sat at the stairs of the entrance. "Please don't kill me for not protecting you rose. Hang on, everyone here will find you."

"Why would anyone really care about finding that snake?" Carmen said approaching Jennifer.

Carmen was Eric's sister and hated Rose because of her personality.

Jennifer gets up. "Please do watch your mouth..."

"No one cares about that brat, Her lover didn't even come to the meeting to discuss what must be done!"

"Mind your own damn business!" She yells as she began getting mad.

Carmen glares at her before saying . "Jennifer are you forgetting Mr Parks is also your father? But he doesn't seem to care about you. Not even when you got shot!"

Jennifer smiles. "Well then, I guess I should go help find my little sister and not waste my time with a bitter person like you!"

Carmen Is about to yell when Jennifer walks away.

"I hope that brat Rose is murdered and that Jennifer disappears!"

Jennifer turns back to her not hesitating to slap her as hard as possible.

"Watch that damn mouth! I already warned you!"

Carmen falls from empact holding her bruised cheek. "You bitch!"

"What can I say? I learned from the very best!" She smiles thinking of Rose.

Carmen gets up and says something that leaves Jennifer devastated.

"It's so sad to see you praise the woman that has no problem constantly humilating you and also...stealing your boyfriend." Carmen smirks taking a step closer to her.

"I bet you miss My brother...don't you Jennifer?"

Jennifer turns away fighting tears as she walks to her car.

"Too bad you're nothing compared to Rose!"
