She walked with a confidence only few had, she was followed by her assistant Jennifer carrying her shopping bags and coffee. Rose wore sunglasses to protect her from the sun but decided to keep them on even in the building.

she ignored everyone that turned to look at her, her head was held high as she strutted knowing very well how good she looked.

"Miss Parks is here to see Mr Ryans." Jennifer said trying not to drop all her bags.

Just as the secretary was about to talk Rose ignored her and went straight into her fiance Eric's office.

He was busy on the phone when she walked in followed by Jennifer.

"Eric, I have to talk to you!" Rose spoke calmly removing her glasses.

He sighed hanging up without even notifying whoever he was talking to earlier.

"What is it now my love?" He said through gritted teeth, his gaze fixed on her.

Rose turned to Jennifer, "OUT! NOW!"

Jennifer immediately placed the bags on his sofa and ran out of the room closing the door.

Rose walked up to Eric and slapped him. He was shocked at first but recovered fast.

"I'm not marrying you to be humiliated by you Eric!"

He smirks grabbing her by the waist. "So you heard about me and the actress?"

"The scandal broke out while I was doing my hair! Do you realize how humiliated I was?!"

"Don't tell me you're jealous dear wifey." He teased.

She shoved him. "We both know the only reason we are getting married is for our fathers! Your father is a drunk that lost all your families money! And my dad is an ambitious man who's obsessed with status!"

Eric shoves Rose to the ground roughly. "Don't you talk about my father like that! Ever!"

She gets up and slaps him again. "Don't you dare lay a finger on me again...or you might find you and your family on the streets!"

She walks out ignoring as he calls out to her in anger.

"Jennifer take my bags!" She yells heading to the elevator.

Rider puts the final touches to the tattoo that took over three hours to complete. He sighs in satisfaction as it looked amazing, although he felt numbness in his arms he felt satisfied with everything.

The guy wanted his scar covered with a black mamba and Rider did just that and much more, sometimes little things can help ease trauma.

"Wow babe you did amazing!" His co-worker and girlfriend Jessi said.

She was older than him and had been living in Japan most of her life. They met at a tattoo convention and he immediately fell head over heels for her outspoken personality.

Rider smiled proudly. "Check it out Chris do you like it?"

The man looks in the mirror and his eyes water. "Man you're a fucking miracle worker. Thanks man."

Rider smiles feeling content. "Im glad you like it."

Jessi hugs him and the two share a kiss.

"Let's get some food okay?" Jessi says.

"Okay."

...time skip.....

"Rider!" A young girl races in the tattoo shop looking completely distraught.

He turns to see his neighbor lily crying. He immediately abandoned the sandwich he was eating

"What's wrong?"

He questions trying to make sense of everything.

"T-the loan sharks beat Grandpa!" Lily sobs as Jessi picks her up.

"Baby where is grandpa now?" Asked Jessi.

"T-the street..."

Rider immediately ran to go help out the man that had practically raised him. Although Mr Lee his neighbor, Rider saw him as a father fugure, he had taken good care of 16 year old Rider who moved out on his own.

He found the old man being punched by guys even larger then him. Rider angrily yelled:

"Roger and Logan! Stop before I beat you up so bad you break your damn necks!"

logan walks over to Rider smirking. "Listen we respect you Rider...you are our brother!"

Rider shoves him. "I'm no longer apart of that life! Tell Lex I'll pay him everything Mr Lee owes by tonight!"

Logan goes to Roger. "Let's go... Rider always keeps his word..."

Rider runs to the older man and immediately realized that luckily he wasn't too hurt.

"Sorry ...I already took so much from you." Cries Mr lee.

Rider helps him up and says. "How much do you owe?" Rider ignores that poor man's shaking.

"1 million...I've been taking little by little..." He says embarrassed.

"I'll make a phone call and be right back. Tell Jessi to make you and lily something to eat."  Rider walks away.

Rose Point of view}

I enter the house feeling completely angry. Eric is a fool that I have no choice but to marry. And instead of being grateful he publicly humiliates me.

"Rose!"

I groan hearing my step mom call me. To be honest I'm amazed she's awake at this time of day.

"Yes?"

she walked over to me with a smile on her face. she was dressed in the most annoyingly colorful and tecky clothes.

Julia stops infront of me reeking of alcohol making me cringe.

Sighing heavily I glare at her before speaking my mind.

"What do you want?"

"Must you be so mean?"

I scoff and said, "What do you want?"

"I need a cheque...your dad...has forbidden me from using my card due to too much shopping...you know how girls can be..."

she giggles making me cringe.

"Julia-"

" I'll pay you back...I swear."

I look at her absolutely confused but since I was in no mood to argue I turn to Jennifer.

"Take out my cheque book."

"Right away ma'am."

Julia watches Jennifer making me realize how desperate she is.

She smiles handing it to me. "Here you go."

I grab the chequebook wondering how much she'd want this time.

"How much do you need?" I ask my step mom.

She looks nervous as she moves around fidgeting around.

"I need one million."
